HandyNotes
Handy Notes for your maps. This addon is intended to be a small and simple framework for showing notes on your map.
Use /handynotes to access options.
You can add notes to the maps in 3 ways:
- Alt-RightClick on the world map to add a note.
- Use "/hnnew" without the quotes to add a note at your current location.
- Use "/hnnew x,y" without the quotes to add a note at location x,y on your current zone's map.
HandyNotes supports plugins that other authors can write to display their own set of notes on the map. See this link for a list of such addons: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/search?search=handynotes
Is there a way to scale the icons / notes you create yourself using Alt+Rightclick ?
ya i think there is in the option in interfase menu
would be nice haveing a button on map to tern off the icons on map
Hi there,
Still trying to figure out what happens, but I randomly get a strange behavior on some (draenor treasures) nodes, appearing about 200 pixels on the right of their "real" position on the map.
Coordinates seem ok since the icon is at the right place on the minimap, and a /reload do the trick for some time, by refreshing the map itself.
I'll try to disable everything else, just to make sure there's no library / name clash with another plugin. Anyone else in this case ?
Is there any option to open list of not looted items ?
Is there any way to delete a point on the map manually? I've got a treasure that I looted in nagrand that won't disapear. Thank you for this addon and your hard work!
Same issue here, im using the DraenorTreasures plugin and some of the icons dont go away after I loot them, I would like to be able to manually remove those.

Hi Xinhuan
-Aoedin
how do i get this in wow
Hi Xinhuan
I found a treasure that isn't in the wonderful addon.
It is located on top of that stone formation in Shadowmoon Valley that surround the Anguish Fortress.
It is on the way up to Sneevel. Turn around and face the big stones.
Just mount up and jump on the big stones. Take the left side and in the end you get a chest.

Wrong addon. You want the plugin managed by a different mod : http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/handynotes_treasurehunter or http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/handynotes_draenortreasures
A HandyNotes module for the location of followers would be nice!
So, I have a question about removing points.
For example, I already got to 100, then installed the addon...
I have killed many things and looted many items already, I want to know how I can remove an object on the map. I think that each item, has an ID, and that you can find out through typing this in the chat (For example) to tell if you have already got an item:
/dump IsQuestFlaggedCompleted116887
how can I get rid of all the things I have already done, from HandyNotes.
Thanks so much
I have the exact same question and situation
Depends which handynotes plugin you're using for the notes. E.g. HandyNotes_TreasureHunter does that automatically.
Still getting the "Astrolabe-1.0 instead of Astrolabe-0.4" error - although I updated to the latest version. (Tried both update via Curse client and direct download). Any ideas?
So, any idea how can I get this to work for cave maps? Ideally I'd like to add a rare sighting point like the SilverDragon add-on does in conjunction with this mod, but as it is currently, it fails to distinguish between overland and cavern mob location.
