Ingela's Rapture
Ingela's Rapture
Updated for 4.2. Please report any errors or bugs.
Description
Ingela's Rapture is a lightweight and highly configurable addon that gives you a cooldown bar for the internal cooldown of Rapture.
Why?
When Cataclysm came with new talents and increased spell-costs, the tools to regenerate mana becomes a lot more valuable. With the talent Strength of Soul and casting Heal, you cannot throw a shield every time the Weakend Soul is off, thinking you will procc rapture. This addon helps you out so you can time it correctly and gain as much mana as possible from this talent, making this a simple yet great tool to help you reach better performance in both raids and heroics.

Try it now. This should remove the error at least. I will add it soon™ to heatsink if I can find the time for it :)
Good luck, please post any further errors.
EDIT: I noticed there is not error when I disable the addon "Heatsink". Any way you could make it work with this addon also?
First time rapture procs the bar shows up without error, but when the cooldown reaches zero, I get this error: Message: Interface\AddOns\LibCandyBar-3.0\bars.lua:139: attempt to index field 'data' (a nil value) Time: 01/09/10 10:49:01 Count: 1 Stack: Interface\AddOns\LibCandyBar-3.0\bars.lua:139: in function `Get' Interface\AddOns\Heatsink\Heatsink.lua:367: in function `?' ...Ons\Ace3\CallbackHandler-1.0\CallbackHandler-1.0.lua:147: in function <...Ons\Ace3\CallbackHandler-1.0\CallbackHandler-1.0.lua:147> [string "safecall Dispatcher[2]"]:4: in function <[string "safecall Dispatcher[2]"]:4> [C]: ? From then the bar sometimes shows, sometimes doesnt. also disapears before cooldown is at zero sometimes.

I don't see any errors with my version. Mine is somewhat altered though, i'll upload it right away. Please post any errors if you see them!
Seems broke in 3.3, getting some libcandybar & ace3 errors. Can we expect a fix soon?
Hi there Garalor, I'll look in to it as soon as I have time :)
hi, i would like to use your addon, but my problem, i am using a german client.
is it easy to change some lines?
in german, rapture = euphorie or is it a lot of work?
thx anyway! :)
Lol I'd never even thought about using Hymn of Hope just before they proc good idea . Maybe i'm just dreaming with my UI idea ;) bar works just fine!
15 Seconds before Crash (Icehowl) -> Shield Tank -> Shield Dies -> Rapture Procs -> 5~ Seconds before Crash -> Cast 5xShields -> Crash -> All Shields Proc Rapture (5x800 mana back)
Yes exactly, this is really the only reason to use the AddOn, if you can't procc more then 1 shield at a time, you would just be happy without knowing it when you got the procc. Me for example, I actually improved a lot on mana regen in fights with spike damage, just make sure I don't see any bar, shield some guys up before spike damage, retrieve proccs!
I'd also suggest you use it together with Hymn of Hope for more effect with the increased mana there :)
I'm sorry, I have no idea what's so ever to make a clock like that. Wouldn't be so hard to have a clock image of sorts, but how to make an arrow go around it i have no idea how to do.
I'm working on borders right now, expect an update soonish!
Have a look at the first few seconds of that :) rapture has a 12 second cooldown and so lends itself to the style of a 12 hour clock in that each hour represents 1 second. Just a different way of showing how much time is left that's all .
And I do understand how the mod works ;-p I'm only talking about the way the time left is displayed that's all totally cosmetic!
On another note used the mod this evening in ToC 10 HC works well just now need to get use to timing the raptures better :).
EDIT: For me it's not about when rapture is ready it's a case of planning ahead of time with Shields and gaining mana back e.g.
15 Seconds before Crash (Icehowl) -> Shield Tank -> Shield Dies -> Rapture Procs -> 5~ Seconds before Crash -> Cast 5xShields -> Crash -> All Shields Proc Rapture (5x800 mana back)
That's the real power of your mod!
I'm not quite sure what you mean by a "clock like countdown split into 12 parts" so therefor I can't implement it, not sure if I will even if understood though. I think a bar really is the best way, maybe though add some kind of icon.
Yeah the text is like "bobbing", do not know why this happens but I will look more in to it.
Oh yeah, I'm not sure if you understand how it works. If you get a Rapture procc, you see this bar with a 12sec timer, counting down until you can get your next Rapture procc again. If you get 10 proccs, it doesn't matter because you see only one bar because there is only one cooldown :)
Thanks though and keep giving feedback!
Um some kinda clock like countdown split into 12 parts, I'm just thinking something a little more visual would be nice instead of a bar with a timer. For me the use of the timer is for bosses with big AoE where you spam a bunch of shields just before the AoE and they all break at the same time returning 5+ Rapture (e.g. Icehowl).
On a side note with the bar, the text in the bar keeps moving depending on the length of the time. I assume they're all the same string or something any chance of getting it split up so the text stays put.
Otherwise though definitely better than nothing :) been looking for this for ages! Good Work
Hey Maynards.
I have yet to implement some kind of announcer, like into SCT or anything close to that.
Other then that I don't really know what else to do. Do you got any suggestions?
Mod looks great from the screenshot, any thoughts on a more visual approach instead of a bar ? With so many bars already about in raids it would be nice to have something that at a glance you can see when the next rapture proc is available.
looks great :) and good luck with your first mod
