InventoryOnPar
This addon provides a scoring mechanism for your kit and others that you target. Allowing you to get a numerical value to compare your kit to others. This could be really useful on a raid to see the relative scores of members to work out who is best placed for a particular role etc.
You can see the score of others when you target them. It stores these scores in a table you can view with /iop show. You can view and set the options using /iop options. If you have Titan Bar or FuBar installed you can view your score and get access to the table and options forms by clicking on the Titan Bar or FuBar score.
It also shows a "paper doll" character sheet similar to your regular character sheet except the borders of the of your equiped inventory item icons are colour coded by comparing your current level with the ITEM Level (note NOT minimum level) of your equiped items. It also shows a colour coded Item Level indicator in various game tooltips. Plus if you use Titan you can see your overall on par "score" on your titan panel.
The idea is that you click a button on your character sheet or click on the Titan Panel or FuBar item and get instant feedback on what kit is out of date and ought to be replaced. The colour coding helps this as you can instantly see grey and green items as candidates for replacement. Note just because an item is grey or green doesn't mean that you must replace it. You may prefer your grey/green item's balance of stats to higher level items that are available. So do remember its a guide not an instruction :-)
The scale is the usual Grey/Green/Yellow/Orange/Red, as follows :
Grey - at least 5 lvls below yours (aka why are you wearing/using that rubbish)
Green - 2 to 4 lvls below yours (aka you should think about upgrading that bit of kit)
Yellow - one lvl below to one lvl above yours (aka suitable for your character level)
Orange - 2 to 4 lvls above yours (aka nice bit of kit you've got there)
Red - 5 or more lvls above yours (aka thats a bit special isn't it)
Also White - Item slot empty; and Blue - Item not recognised or not in item cache (marked as unsafe).
This idea has been extended to cover tooltips so hopefully all game tooltips should now show an items actual level colour coded according to how appropriate the items level is for your character. This works in auction houses, in quest rewards, trade and should work just the same in need/greed rolls too.
The "score" feature simply sums the difference in levels between your equiped items and your level. It gives a default score for uncommon (green) items and adds a bonus for rare items (blue), epic (purple), legendary (orange) or artifact items. The idea is to give an overall measure of how good your kit is. At very low levels your score will change rapidly as you get equipment but it should soon settle down. You should aim to always keep the number as high as possible, the higher it is the better equipped you are. Every time you level up your score will also change as the score is relative to how good the kit is for your level.
In version 2.20 a major new feature was added to log the Par score of other players that you encounter. It simply logs everyone you target within inspection range and within the level range you configure and stores their info, this includes not only their scores but the list of items they were wearing. You can view the log by typing
/iop show
on the command line or by right clicking on you Titan Bar or FuBar addin.
With the UI display form you can view the scores of players you have captured data of this shows their level, class, guild, date recorded and score. You can sort by any of these columns by clicking on the column title. When you left click on a players name it opens the Paper Doll character sheet and shows the players character sheet as it was when you captured it. This allows you to inspect someone at leisure simply by targeting them. You can view their kit days or weeks later although there is a protection mechanism to prevent a disconnect if you were to view items that the server hadn't seen since a reset.
It has been used extensively as a raiding equipment check tool by numerous guilds. The idea being the the scores give a guide as to how good someones kit is, and if their kit is not up to scratch they can see what needs upgrading. Various guilds adopt different minimum kit levels to raid a particular instance. For example a score of 250 is a common figure seen as a minimum score to raid Karazhan, and 400 to raid Gruul's Lair. This is not hard and fast scores but guide figures set by guild leaders. The idea being that a raid leader can leave out of a raid someone who's kit is just not up to scratch in favour of someone who is more likely to assist the raid. As such this is quite a useful and powerful tool for raid leaders.
In groups and in a raid there are two additional commands :
/iop raid
/iop party
These commands instantly scan everyone within inspect range in your raid or your party. Thus saving you having to manually click on each individual. The results are stored in your IOP table so you can view them at leisure later.
You can get the Titan panel module in the modules directory and the FuBar Module from http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/fu-bar_iopfu.aspx

Is it possible to get an extract of the saved scores?
Dumb question time: How do I actually get data into this? I can't even get data about myself, let alone about anyone else. I have guild and raid unchecked, scan others checked. All I see is a blank score table.
Im also having the same issue as hac13.
Iv reinstalled all my mods,tryed it with everything off but InventoryOnPar.
Still get the same error messages as below.
Having the same Issue as Hac13 for some time now
Absolutely love the addon - thanks. Have you seen and have any idea how to fix an error report like (I have tried the normal zap WTF, Interface and Cache and reload stuff):

Thanks,

Thanks very much for fixing /iop raid and /iop party. They work fine now.
The only remaining category of players that still return -887.66 as a score are non-server non-faction players that I click on in BGs. That is, I'm Alliance on Uldum. I click on Horde from some other server and get the bad score. This is, of course, low priority. Just thought I'd bring it to your attention.
Yep i'm all for the pvp, and thanks man, works good now. Back to 809.
@Palladia
v9.51 should have fixed the /iop raid and /iop party
@ll27149
I have no way of testing this - its probably to do with the item slots values - it needs someone who has access to a zhCN wow client to provide the required translations - Pls check v9.51 and see if it still gives problem.
@ogre0038
I am guessing that you have a lot of pvp gear? The new versions by default show different ratings for pvp & pve gear. There is an option to include or exclude resilience from the calculations by default it excludes resilience as this is almost meaningless in PvE.
Yup you said someone mostly in "Vengeful" gear that has high resilience and thus useless in PvE. If you want PvP scores you need to tick the box in options /iop options - to enable resilience scores.
If you do want PvP scores you DEFINITELY want to get v9.51 which shows scores for the opposing faction too. Now you can tell if you were pwned because he had better gear or he was a better player ;)
After a few bug fixes, IoP is working correctly for me when I click someone individually, but when I use "/iop raid" it sets everyone to -887.66. I haven't tried it with "/iop party" so I don't know if that has the same problem.
Does IOP still work with zhCN(Simplified Chinese) WOW?
I'm a Chinese WOWer.
Why can't I use this addon now?
It can't work in my WOW when it updated to 9.0(maybe 9.0, I'm not quite sure.)
I think something is wrong with the ratings.
My IOP is shown as 510 with Titan Panel, but pre-2.4 it was 815.
Whats wrong? Also my other char is 795 but shown as 505.
Edit: Also it shows everyone i click on as -887.66.
And i just downloaded the updated version and still the same.
Thanks.
Edit2: Ah, now it shows scores for other people, but they're still oddly low numbers.
Edit3: Hrm, just got rating for something in T6, and he had anormal score of aroud 880. But someone else in mostly Vengeful, only have around 550.
@Palladia
With patch 2.4 Bizzard changed the fundamental call to see items, now you need to inspect the target first before you can get item data. It took a bit of time to work out the best way of achieving this. However I think I've got it, and I've posted what seems to be a working version.
One consequence of the change is that I believe it should now work inspecting alternate faction kit too. So Alliance should be able to inspect Horde and vice versa. This makes it even more useful in arena's/bg's etc. I haven't tested this though as I am not a pvp fan. I may need to split the data to record alternate faction in a separate table for ease of viewing.
@faircrest
Yeah fair question. We typically use the following :
150 Karazhan - Start
250 Karazhan - Curator
350 Karazhan - Prince
400 Gruul's Lair
500 Zul'Aman, SSC, TK
My guild is at SSC/TK so not sure of MH/BT values guessing 650-700 and Sunwell Plateau is probs 750-800.
Remember though the numbers are a guide only. There are a lot of other very important factors, eg: Is the kit actually any good for that spec. ie: no use a warrior tank equipping heaps of plate pally gear with +healing.
Skill of player will also play a big part. I've seen heaps of ppl with excellent kit scores (often from Arena stuff) but can't raid to save themselves as team, co-ordinated play is beyond them.
Similarly I've seen really skillful players do SSC still with <200 IOP score with several greens yet still come out with dps higher than some full epic guys because they knew how to get the max from their class.
So use the figures as a guide not a hard and fast rule. Thats the best way to use the addon.
Thanks for even considering more advanced delete options. Really appreciate your hard work.
When can we expect an update for 2.4?
OK someone told me to get this and I was thinking it seemed silly, but decided to at least check it out. In about 1 minute I was hooked. I have always enjoyed looking at people's gear, now with a quick glance I can see how people are rated. The only thing that I am at a loss with is a guide to knowing/choosing/setting a guild's desired lvl for the various endgame instances. Obviously the numbers you listed in the description aren't thin are numbers, so how do we arrive at them? If you didn't mind sending me a link or thought on that I would love you forever. <3
hi, i love this mod you created, it lets me know which gear to upgrade next or claim braggin rights over friends. But, i've been having problem with it since about 2 patches ago. The "OnPar" button is still located in my paper doll character screen right under the trinkets. but, whenever i click the button nothing happens (the screen doesn't pop up with my kit score or the screen with all my recent kit views). To try to alleviate the problem i've re-installed the newest onpar, as well as erase all my addons and put just the newest onpar in there to see if any other programs were intefearing. I still get the same problem. it says it loads up when i log into the game in the chat log, but i cant access it. If you have any advice on how to fix this so i can keep using this awesome mod i'd appreciate it. Thanks
I've added the options for multiple deletes to my todo list thanks for the suggestion. Now if only I didn't have to farm 460 badges for the new Heroic badge kit in 2.4 I'd have some time to tackle this!!
edit: Cleanup did delete everything... just not till I logged out and back in later on. Sorry about that. The message when I tried it and the fact they all remained visible threw me. So disregard the first paragraph... Still be nice if we could score some more advanced deletion options though :)
Firstly "clean up" isn't doing anything at the moment. It gives a message along the lines of "no records old enough to delete" (that's not the exact message sorry I'm not at my wow machine to test). By the look of that I assume the clean up is based on the date the entries were added - but there seems to be no way we can check/set that date. I can't see anything in the options. Can we get an option to set that date?
And I'm wondering if we could get some advanced deletion options. A simple one like "delete all" would be cool (for those of us too lazy to find the lua file). But it'd also be nice to be able to delete say level range (eg: delete scores for anyone between level 1 and 35), class, "not in my guild" and finally by score range (eg: anyone with a score under 200 or between 0 and 200, etc).
If we could automate that it'd be great, I've got a ton of entries in my list and I just can't delete them one at a time.
@nesl247
Skinner?? What is Skinner? Link pls.
re: Adding Rating to the tooltip? Rating of what? To which tooltip? I am guessing you might mean add the individual rating score of an individual item of kit to the tooltip of that individual item? Similar to how things like Tankpoints/Healthpoints/Enhancer AEP does?
If so then yes this is a good idea and I can look into how to achieve this in a future version.
