InventoryOnPar
This addon provides a scoring mechanism for your kit and others that you target. Allowing you to get a numerical value to compare your kit to others. This could be really useful on a raid to see the relative scores of members to work out who is best placed for a particular role etc.
You can see the score of others when you target them. It stores these scores in a table you can view with /iop show. You can view and set the options using /iop options. If you have Titan Bar or FuBar installed you can view your score and get access to the table and options forms by clicking on the Titan Bar or FuBar score.
It also shows a "paper doll" character sheet similar to your regular character sheet except the borders of the of your equiped inventory item icons are colour coded by comparing your current level with the ITEM Level (note NOT minimum level) of your equiped items. It also shows a colour coded Item Level indicator in various game tooltips. Plus if you use Titan you can see your overall on par "score" on your titan panel.
The idea is that you click a button on your character sheet or click on the Titan Panel or FuBar item and get instant feedback on what kit is out of date and ought to be replaced. The colour coding helps this as you can instantly see grey and green items as candidates for replacement. Note just because an item is grey or green doesn't mean that you must replace it. You may prefer your grey/green item's balance of stats to higher level items that are available. So do remember its a guide not an instruction :-)
The scale is the usual Grey/Green/Yellow/Orange/Red, as follows :
Grey - at least 5 lvls below yours (aka why are you wearing/using that rubbish)
Green - 2 to 4 lvls below yours (aka you should think about upgrading that bit of kit)
Yellow - one lvl below to one lvl above yours (aka suitable for your character level)
Orange - 2 to 4 lvls above yours (aka nice bit of kit you've got there)
Red - 5 or more lvls above yours (aka thats a bit special isn't it)
Also White - Item slot empty; and Blue - Item not recognised or not in item cache (marked as unsafe).
This idea has been extended to cover tooltips so hopefully all game tooltips should now show an items actual level colour coded according to how appropriate the items level is for your character. This works in auction houses, in quest rewards, trade and should work just the same in need/greed rolls too.
The "score" feature simply sums the difference in levels between your equiped items and your level. It gives a default score for uncommon (green) items and adds a bonus for rare items (blue), epic (purple), legendary (orange) or artifact items. The idea is to give an overall measure of how good your kit is. At very low levels your score will change rapidly as you get equipment but it should soon settle down. You should aim to always keep the number as high as possible, the higher it is the better equipped you are. Every time you level up your score will also change as the score is relative to how good the kit is for your level.
In version 2.20 a major new feature was added to log the Par score of other players that you encounter. It simply logs everyone you target within inspection range and within the level range you configure and stores their info, this includes not only their scores but the list of items they were wearing. You can view the log by typing
/iop show
on the command line or by right clicking on you Titan Bar or FuBar addin.
With the UI display form you can view the scores of players you have captured data of this shows their level, class, guild, date recorded and score. You can sort by any of these columns by clicking on the column title. When you left click on a players name it opens the Paper Doll character sheet and shows the players character sheet as it was when you captured it. This allows you to inspect someone at leisure simply by targeting them. You can view their kit days or weeks later although there is a protection mechanism to prevent a disconnect if you were to view items that the server hadn't seen since a reset.
It has been used extensively as a raiding equipment check tool by numerous guilds. The idea being the the scores give a guide as to how good someones kit is, and if their kit is not up to scratch they can see what needs upgrading. Various guilds adopt different minimum kit levels to raid a particular instance. For example a score of 250 is a common figure seen as a minimum score to raid Karazhan, and 400 to raid Gruul's Lair. This is not hard and fast scores but guide figures set by guild leaders. The idea being that a raid leader can leave out of a raid someone who's kit is just not up to scratch in favour of someone who is more likely to assist the raid. As such this is quite a useful and powerful tool for raid leaders.
In groups and in a raid there are two additional commands :
/iop raid
/iop party
These commands instantly scan everyone within inspect range in your raid or your party. Thus saving you having to manually click on each individual. The results are stored in your IOP table so you can view them at leisure later.
You can get the Titan panel module in the modules directory and the FuBar Module from http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/fu-bar_iopfu.aspx
If you like this AddOn, please vote for it!
I modified your addon a while back to give me a resilence column for when I run BG premades. This allows me to quickly scan up to 40 people and "weed out" the weakest. I am takin it one step further now and adding a +healing column, as I also would like to know 1) who the healers are and 2) who the best healers are. Not sure if you want to add this functionality also, but I find when setting up an AV premade having resilence scores helps tremendously.
@Palladia
Uploaded new zip v9.63a which has FuBar Plugin & Titan Plugin.
Woot! Thanks!
@KarakasTDL
When linking to Ace Libraries or files ALWAYS link to the named version not a specific build ie: your link http://files.wowace.com/ItemBonusLib/ItemBonusLib-r69499.zip is wrong it should be http://files.wowace.com/ItemBonusLib/ItemBonusLib.zip
The version without the release number is ALWAYS the latest build thats just how the Ace website works. Similarly InventoryOnPar can also be found at http://files.wowace.com/InventoryOnPar/InventoryOnPar.zip
I recently re-installed WoW and all my addons on a new computer. I'm sure I used to have a FuBar plugin for IOP, but I can't find it on Ace or Curse. Anyone know where I can download it?
To those of you with the error where you get a blank Inventory on Par window I may have found a solution. I was getting the same thing and using bugsack to catch my addon errors I found that I was missing the Itembonuslib file. I couldn't find the file using Aceupdater but here is the link directly to the file on the Ace site. The link will be outdated once the revision changes but it should be good for a while.

@hopedzero
Sounds like some form of initialisation error perhaps caused by incompatibilities with another addon. These are very difficult to diagnose without having error logs. Especially when it disappears later and the addon works as designed.
Usual solution to these sorts of problems is to ensure that all your Ace Addons and ESPECIALLY the embedded libraries are up to date. Ace uses lots of libraries and if one addon has a really old version that might be the one that gets loaded and suddenly lots of addons that were working stop working.
This is most commonly true when you download an Ace addon from a site like Curse. There is no guarentee that the embedded libraries will be up to date on Curse and especially if the addon is early in the alphabet like Atlasloot an old library in that WILL definitely be high on the list of candidates for problems.
That is why you should use WowAceUpdater http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater and just click the little green button before you start Wow. That way all your Ace Addons and importantly all their libraries are updated to the very latest versions with a single click of a button. Saving you lots of headaches with keeping them up to date from lots of different websites.
Alright to add to the last post i have to idea what i did but i downloaded v9.63 that day and it was not working so i just for got about it and just kept playing. i was going to delete it but i forgot so later i downloaded atlas loot the same day and when i went to check out atlas loot i noticed that i did not get a blank box and then i opened my char. window and it worked i have no idea what i did but it works now and it is a great addon
Ok i just got on to WowAce and got the version on there and i thing that is v9.63 but i got the same thing as before with all the version from v9.20 and all i got the same blank box could you tell me how to get it to load correctly
@cragzop
When you have the addon installed by default it will collect the score of every player you target and put the score in the default chat window, and store it in the database. You can alter this behaviour in the options window. If you are getting no scores check a few things :
1) do a /iop version to see that its actually installed and working.
2) check that scanning of other players is turned on in options window /iop options
3) check that the player you click on is within the range you have chosen in your options window by default it will be your level and up to 5 levels below.
@Loriana72
Err what version are you using IOP_MAX_LEVEL variable has been 70 since January 2007.
@various people having a problem.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. You simply MUST say what version you are running if I am to have a hope of understanding what the issue is. Saying "the latest" is NOT a help you MUST quote a version number so I KNOW where the problem lies.
If you get an empty InventoryOnPar window this suggests that it hasn't loaded correctly. The latest version is NOT the on one Curse and hasn't been for months now. I am not wishing to keep two versions up to date. For the latest version you need to get it from WowAce. If you have the WowAceUpdater it will auto update along with every other WowAce addon when you run the Updater.
The latest version is at http://files.wowace.com/InventoryOnPar/InventoryOnPar.zip
The latest version at time of writing this message is v9.63 and was last tested on WoW patch 2.4.2!
Fixes since the Curse version :
v9.60 - Fixed detection of no enchant on "Armor" because it was looking for an enchant on "ARMOUR"!!!
WTB enGB localisation from API calls.
Localised some msg strings
Removed onload message in chat window as thats out of fashion
v9.61 - Additional check to disable storing scores if opposite faction player cannot be scanned
v9.62 - Fixed nil error
v9.63 - Added new artifact colour for IOP above 1000!!
Fixed display issue for >1000 scores
To add to the previous post...
Hope and I tried a few things....he downloaded 7.10 and found it somewhat working...no black box, par button that worked, the scores were just wrong and messed up with lots of negatives...
Moved forward deleting each old IOP file.....Once he got to v9.20 he was back to the empty black box, par button not working ..no scores no nothing.....that would mean it kinda worked to WOW version 2.3.2 using v8.12 (kinda worked as in the infos wrong, but he could see the boxes and the buttons were working and it was loading on start up)
Anyone have any idea????
We would appreciate any suggestions.......
Don't know if this will help or not.....but...
Yesterday I was updating my Titan Panel and messed up my IOP (no idea how I did it but I did) I was getting the same thing you guys have mentioned...the button on my char. screen but nothing would happen when I clicked it and I saw the black empty box....
How I fixed it....went into wow/interface/addons...and deleted everything that referred to Inventory on Par....then I went into wow/WTF/account/(name of my account)/savedvariables ........and deleted everything that referred to Inventory on Par......
Then I downloaded IOP version V9.50.....Extracted all files to wow/interface/addons...
Problem solved.......now I have no idea if this will help you guys...remember mine was up and working before......
Good luck ........
Having the same problem as Chelter Zeeeee and Hope :(:(:(
Having the same problem as Hopedzero :-(
I have another friend who is having this same problem...
When he logs on and tries to open IOP he just see a big black box...no info in it at all....can't get to options....nothing...I told him to try /iop show but he gets nothing....
any ideas??
I downloaded it 3 or 4 days ago and mine works fine, I had no problems and I'm just lovin it! soo thanks! But I'm sooo hopin you can help my friends get theirs workin :)
Alight my friend told me about this addon but i don't know if i am just donig something wrong or i am dumb or some thing i just downloaded this add on and when i open WoW i just get a blank window that says nothing on it and it says inventory on par at the top and i have the button in my char. window but nothing comes up when i push it and nothing when i type /iop show so i was wondering if there is a way to fix it or am i jsut doing some thing wrong
hey there Pericles, great mod man, but may I make a small suggestion?
I downloaded the latest and for 15mins or so couldn't figure out why scanning players wasn't working. I had to change the default from level 1->60 to level 1->70 and everything worked fine.
Might I suggest altering the default max level field to 70? This could be the issue cragzop was having.
Cheers,
Lori :D
