ItemSync
--- A ItemSync update for wow client 4.1.0 is coming the next days! Please be patience! ---
What is ItemSync? ItemSync is an item collection and manipulation mod. ItemSync will gather items from many different sources. Many features are available to you such as a search feature for items that were gathered and even a favorites window to keep track of items you really would like to have. ItemSync also comes bundled with several other useful tools that will be described below.
ItemSync will always maintain an updated list of items and names. Its all automatic and you dont have to do a thing. Just let ItemSync work its magic.
What features do I get with ItemSync? There are tons of features are your disposal! ItemSync comes complete with the following abilities: -Filtering -Search -QuickBag (a portable inventory bag with easy to read item prices) -Favorites (a window to keep track of all those favorite items youve wanted) -ItemID (a window to allow you to manually input item ids for items you havent seen) -Optimizer (a feature that allows you to always keep a clean and efficient database.) -Validater (a feature that allows you to validate those invalid items in your database) -And so much more!!!!
ItemSync will gather items from almost every possible location. This includes locations such as the Auction House, Bank, Inventory, Inspect Window, Chat Window, and more.
ItemSync also stores the prices of items when you visit a Vendor. Not to mention it even grabs the items that the Vendor has to sell!!!
Favorites Window: A neat ability that is available to you when you use ItemSync. It allows you to store those items you come across and have always wanted. The Favorites window makes it easy for you to remember items. No more writing down items and then forgetting what they were called or what stats they had.
QuickBags: QuickBags is a portable inventory bag, which displays prices of items in a simple to read format. No more having to hover items in your bags to view what each item is worth. Selling items to a vendor has never been easier!
Search Window: ItemSync comes with a very power search capability. You can search by items by location, rarity, level, and even resistance.
ItemID: ItemID is a very nifty tool which allows you to manually input items by their item id to your database. This is a great way to add items you havent come across yet. Filtering: ItemSync can store items based upon your filtering settings. Want ItemSync to only collect blue items and above? Its easy with the Filter window. You can even purge the database by a specific rarity.
Fetch Links: Fetch Links is a very handy feature in ItemSync that allows you to quickly and easily add items to chat by using partial names. For example typing [*ore*] in the chat window would replace it with the actual link for [Copper Ore]. Fetch Links is a very powerful tool and has many applications.
Can I see prices of items in the tooltips?
YES! ItemSync has the ability to display both the Vendor Price and the Sell Price for an item within the tooltip. You can select which features you wish to view within the Options window.
Do I ever get disconnected linking an item? You shouldnt ever disconnect while linking an item from ItemSync. ItemSync has been programmed to prevent any such actions from occurring. If however in the event you do disconnect then you should take caution when linking that item in the future. The creator of ItemSync takes no responsibility for any disconnections that may occur while using ItemSync.
Can I see the items across servers? Yes, this option is available to you. It isnt recommended as item ids are different across servers. This means you will always have a constant list of invalid items if you merge them across servers. By default ItemSync separates item collection by server.
Can I convert my data from LootLink/KC_Items/ItemsMatrix?
NO! I repeat NO! This ability has been removed from any future version of ItemSync. This is just to time consuming. If other folks wish to make converters then they are allowed to. I will post links to them as they become available.
If you guys and gals could be so gracious as to spread your views and acknowledgement and acceptance of ItemSync to your friends and family. I would be truely in all your debts.
Also your votes would be truely kind and will repay me for all the work i've put into this mod.
Sincerely Yours, Derkyle
Okay I can not for the life of me figure out what the heck is wrong with this! I have been talking to some friends and they have not had any of these problems I'm having!
I uploaded the add-on and converted my lootlink database over. I started out with 24175 items (valid and invalid). I went through the invalid items and got that all sorted out, and after purging the invalids and duplicates, I had 24124 items. I added a friends lootlink lua, converted it, did the same process as before and had 24138 items.
After that I was very happy. Love the add-on, great tools with it. But I started to notice that my numbers were dropping. Little by little, it went from 24138 to 23818, to 23809, to 23796... That's just in a couple days. I didn't even have to open the add-on at all, it would just drop for no apparent reason.
Today I decided to see if I could figure out what was going on. I decided to Optimize the database. Imagine my shock when it was all done and I discovered I only have 11763 items left in my ItemSync!!!!! I restarted my game (exited out completely and logged back in) and the numbers have not changed! I have lost more then half of the data that was in my ItemSync when I started!!
I am now going to go through and re-convert my lootlink luas. But I want to know how I can prevent this from happening again!! Has anyone else ever had this problem??
I use several add-ons. I turned off Lootlink once I had everything updated. Derkyle, if you need more info about what add-ons I'm using and stuff to figure out what is going on with this, feel free to contact me via e-mail or something.
I'm using the german client and i found some issues thjat are really bothering me:
1. Some White Colored Items are flagged as grey(and invalid) 2. After reloading(Porting etc.) these Items become white and NOT invalid(Chat Log says that the Quality has been updated). BUT the sellvalues changed radically(not all items changed price and the items that changed seem to be random) i.e. Runecloth Bandages sells for 20000g per stack, wwoohoo :)
My guess: The Database shifts per one or more Bytes
Hi, when I open the ItemSync window and hover over the items, my chat gets spammed with "The quality of XY has been updated"; Why does this happen? I use the german WoW - does it have anything to do with that?
Thx Beutju
correction game does not crash i just get insta booted from the server.
also it seems to only happen with one item. the thunderfury.
i just converted from ll and everytime i go to link something from my list into chat my game crashes. it works fine til i link it in chat and hit enter.
Ahh ok I c bro..Thank you very much.

It's under the clean portion of the options panel. I don't know why people keep having problems with this.
It's under the "Clean" button, not something you would think has anything to do with options, rather something about removing all items/options and resetting.
Revision 696 or higher of EnhTT should fix your tooltip issues.
I just switched to ItemSync because LL searching doesn't work. I agree that full text searching would be nice, but I think it would be even better to be able to search for specific attributes. For instance, return all items with +damage/healing done by spells > 20. This would make it a wonderful in game tool for figuring out what items to look for.
Does no one ever read the patch notes or go through the options panel? Honestly lol..
You can disable the minimap button in the options panel.
@ Nakoruru & Gohr: Minimap icon is removable or repositionable thru the options.
@ Derkyle: One thing that I used alot with Lootlink that I can't seem to do here is be able to search for keywords within the items discription. For example...before my guild hit MC, I did a search for "resist" in lootlink and set it to items above level 50 and armor to cloth. I would then pick out the best items with fire resist gear, write it down, and look up where to get it on Thottbot. We are about to hit BWL and I would like to be able to do the same for shadow and nature resist.
This is an excellent mod! but that minimap button really bother me! I prefer to use alt-l (key-binding for lootlink before I use this mod) to search things or use /is search item.
How can i move the icon at the minimap cuz its on top of my icon to BG's wich is rather annoying.
Hi,
Yes my fault it is working great with Bagnon/Banknon. I had to remove my saved Variables files for that addon and it corrected the issues I was having. Sorry that I disturbed you with it I normally remove them first b4 posting as more often than no that corrects any issues I am having.
Thanks again for a great addon!!!
@Derkyle after you stopped the developement of IM i was worried that i wouldnt have an item data base like it ever again. i tried KC_I but felt it was lacking in many areas. Itemsync is fantastic it works exactly like it should and nothing more.
i use Bagnon and it along with IS work fine.
Why is it possible to search on "bucklers"? Bucklers were removed in early Beta.
Somehow sellvalue is not sent to EngInventory's tooltip. Mind taking a look at that? :) EngInventory has been picked up again as SynEngInventory, both are located on curse.
I've uploaded a fix for EnhTooltip until I can speak to the authors and have them fix it. Basically EnhTooltip does not like it when other mods hook into tooltips. The fix should work for those of you experiencing doubling of the auctioneer tooltip when you have EMBED ON. Otherwise if you use EMBED OFF. Then you shouldn't need this fix for the EnhTooltip.
