kgPanels
Create panels for customizing your UI, sucessor to eePanels
OnClick now provides a pressed and released variable you can check for.
if pressed then -- do mouse down actions elseif released then -- do mouse up actions end
This means your script will get called twice when someone clicks the panel.
Here is a youtube link to a video Tutorial
Ive created an Example Texture Pack.
This example pack is just a template. If you want to use it as a storage spot for your art, look at the read me file for directions on usage.
as in the artwork I had, the panels etc..non existing...that entire folder is gone...deleted...
what do you mean gone?
First and formost. I think its great kg panels is being updated etc.
Having said that, with the update everything I made berfore is gone. Vanished, deleted, removed, hasta la vista baby....
That part is not cool. any update you make SHOULD carry with it a way to update your settings without loosing hours and hours of work creating the panels.
The entire artwork folder is gone....
Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me out with some scripts? I did this once before, but have completely forgotten how I did it. Some kind soul gave me some pointers here on the forums, but for the life of me I can't find the page with the advice after searching for it.
This is what I'd like help with: I use Monkeyquest for my quests and would like to parent a panel to it so that it grows and collapses along with the Monkeyquest frame. Would like to do the same with VanasKoS, but with VanasKoS i'd like to parent a frame to the warning window, it'd be very cool to be able to make the panel only show when the warning window is active.
I know both of these things are possible, as i did it once before a couple of years ago, but i'm exceptionally nooby when it comes to coding and the like. A great big thank you in advance to anyone willing and able to help out with advice/scripts. Cheers!
Hi all.
Is anyone aware of a conflict between Kgpanels and oUF_Quaiche?
I ask because when I use both at the same time my fps is a steady 134fps
As soon as I parent a unit frame or target fram my fps plunges to a constant 13fps.
Has anyone had this prob when parenting?
In my textures folder I had all my Artwork (.tga) files and all of my Photoshop (.PSD) files. Here lies the problem.
If you have 2 files of the same name regardless of extension (.png .jpeg .tga) etc etc then you'll get the green artwork issue ingame.
This might not be a fix for everyone but I hope it helps some of you at least!
there isnt a way to draw a panel multiple times.
Is there a way to have a panel draw multiple times? For instance a panel for a party member. Can I have one panel anchor on every party frame or do I need to keep using four panels anchored on the four separate frames? My panels get complex and I am looking at some 24 panels just for party frames.
I created different profiles for different toons, however it doesnt seem to be remembering them. All my profiles are exactly the same.
The only thing i can think of is that i've only created one layout, do i need to create different layouts for different profiles? my panels are all the same but my artwork for each toon is different so i was assuming a different profile would remember the different artwork
any help much appreciated.
Also does anyone know some sites that have some TGA files for use. I don't have a program to make my own and there does not seem to be allot around to download.
Since 4.1 came out my panels dont show up. Instead they show up as that light green boxes (default green for transparency).
Already tried downloading 1.5.5 files but still no fix for my problem.
Anyone else with same problem? Any tip?
Thanks in advance.

Images may be in BLP or TGA format, and must have power-of-two dimensions up to 1024 pixels. TGA images may have 8, 24, or 32 bits per pixel for grayscale, RGB, and RGBA images respectively; RLE is supported.
TBH I was probably just screwing something up cause I am retarded but thank you all for the help I can now finally set this up.
Then I noticed that I had Photoshop files in the folder with the same names as the textures that I was having trouble with. I moved these out of the SharedMedia folder, rebuilt the database again, and loaded up WoW... everything was fine again, and all my previously-green textures were now displaying as expected.
As for the SharedMedia, if you can't find the file there's a good chance you just don't have that installed. SharedMedia is media files like backgrounds, borders, fonts and stuff that you can install and then access it with other addons.

Not sure what the problem is but I still have it.
-Forgive my nubness.
1. Open the "Interface/Addons/SharedMedia" Folder and rename "MyMedia.bat.txt" to "MyMedia.bat"
2. Double-Click "MyMedia.bat"
3. Copy all your custom Texture Files into "Interface/Addons/SharedMedia_MyMedia/background" (tga Files)
4. Double-Click "MyMedia.bat" again
5. Launch WoW and delete all existing green Textures from your Texture Library in /kgPanels config
6. Restart WoW or /rl
7. If the Textures still dont show up, select every Panels Texture Options Tab and select your Texture from the Dropdown List again
