kgPanels
Create panels for customizing your UI, sucessor to eePanels
OnClick now provides a pressed and released variable you can check for.
if pressed then -- do mouse down actions elseif released then -- do mouse up actions end
This means your script will get called twice when someone clicks the panel.

Ive created an Example Texture Pack.
This example pack is just a template. If you want to use it as a storage spot for your art, look at the read me file for directions on usage.
Custom textures don't load or are replaced by a bright green colour.
FIX:
1. Go to your SavedVariables directory (usualy C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables\)
2. Find and edit the file kgPanels.lua with notepad or similar.
3. In the file look for ["artwork"] and you will see the routes to your file. Fix the possible errors here like missing file extensions (missing .tga) or access routes (like \\\\mytextures\\chat.tga)
This fixed the problem for me.
Maybe you can also try adding your textures again in the KGPanels Config.
i have custom texture inspired from Aion UI pack, and my screen with KGpanels enable is juste green for 90% :s ( it's a big texture :D )
and 1.5.5 doesn't change abything :(
So assume for a moment that it's just an image format problem that wasn't a problem before but is now. I decided to ditch the image and just make the background a solid or gradient color, however the color options seem to do nothing at all now. I have black backgrounds only when I choose "none" for the background texture. Yes this is far far better than bright lime green, but it's still not nearly as cool looking as things were prior to the patch.
Does anyone know what may have happened, or what I need to change to get some control over my panels again?
I've been trying to search for this again after ages. I don't know how/if it's possible for kgpanels to find out if a chatframe is faded or not (i understand its basically just 0% alpha) I have my panel parented to ChatFrame1 but yea, the panel is still 100% visible when the text fades out. If there is no way for a panel to fade with the text fading out, is there a way for the panel to just disappear when there's no text in the chatframe?
@Release182
Figured out my own problem. Trying to script with Totem Timers just didn't work. That is what was causing my issues.
thats wierd, i do that all the time making alts and setting the active layout.
Just created a whole new UI using kgPanels, but now I am having problems with the panels not loading at all at login. I have to open up kgP and reselect the active layout. This seems to fix the problem with the toon I created the new layout on, but when I go onto any of my alts, nothing loads properly, even with the above fix. Any thoughts?
Thank you. Love the flexibility of your addon.
I have a number of panels that are anchored to each-other to create buttons for custom functions and a frame to hold them. I used /framestack to identify which panels needed to be anchored where(ie. kgPanel10 to kgPanel14), but every time I reload my UI or log in at a later date - all the panels have renumbered themselves so everything is anchored in the wrong spots or even worse - a panel renumbers itself to the panel it was supposed to be anchored to and crashes the addon. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
JCinDE yeah some of the alpha channel coloring has changed some.
it should be ok for 4.1, to be honest ive not had a chace to test on the ptr i will do it before the weekend
Kag, this mod solid or are we due for a 4.0.6 or 4.1 update?
Has the implementation of AlphaMode changed since WotLK? I used to be able to create a solid color panel and apply the "mod" AlphaMode to make the panel appear as sort of a colored piece of cellophane that would tint everything under it. Now the "mod" setting just makes the panel vanish entirely.
trying to use kgPanels with reflux. when it type "reflux add kgPanels" it comes back with not found. is there a different name for the .toc file to work with reflux?
