LilSparky's Workshop
LilSparky's Workshop adds auction-derived pricing information for trade skills right into the trade skill recipe frame. Each skill is evaluated for material costs and potential value of the item created. These two numbers are listed next to each skill in an easy-to-read format.
Supported Auction Scanners:
- Auctioneer
- AuctionLite
- AuctionMaster
- Auctionator
Optionally Requires:
- Informant (for vendor availability)
LibPeriodicTable (for vendor availability)
Trade Skill Interfaces Supported:
- GnomeWorks
- AdvancedTradeSkillWindow
- Skillet
- Blizzard's Standard UI
- Doublewide Tradeskills
- Tradeskill HD
Auction pricing models can be selected by right-clicking either the value column or the cost column (each can have a different pricing method attached).
The Value column can be left clicked to cycle through the different valuation methods for the resultant item: Auction Value (a), Vendor Value (v), Disenchant Value (d) or the greatest of the three different values (the default). Any instance of an item Value being greater than the Cost to create it will have a highlighted Value entry. Optionally, the Value column can be displayed as a percentage of the Cost column.
The Cost column simply sums up the costs for each reagent and reports the total.
Both columns can be combined into a single "Profit" column which simply reflects the Value minus the Cost.
Tooltips for each column give more details about the price breakdowns LSW is considering.
A note regarding vendor availability:
LSW utilizes supplied item databases to determine when an item is readily available from a vendor. Occasionally this may not be accurate, usually because the item is a trade in for another item and not buyable with gold. I have provided a simple way to over-ride the vendor database:
/script LSWConfig.vendorOverride[item#] = (true/false/nil)
The item# is the item ID for the specific item. It is a single number. For example, 2589 is Linen Cloth.
Setting the value to "true" means the item is available at the vendor.
Setting the value to "false" means the item is not available at the vendor.
Setting the value to "nil" means to use the provided databse.
There is now also a right-click option to override the vendor availability and also to hand enter specific prices for items.
A note about frame/auction support:
LSW utilizes a plug in scheme to handle support to handle pricing and frame support. I am unlikely to add additional plugins directly into LSW. The goal of the plugin system is to provide basic templates that other addon authors could employ to provide LSW support on their end while at the same time providing functionality for a base set of common mods. Addon authors are free to contact me regarding the plugin system if issues arise or the system doens't make sense.
I like what you've done with your clone of Skillet.
I have found one bug. For enchanting if I queue up multiple enchants (of one type) it will craft them all but only decrement the count on the queue by one. Don't think this applies to other skills.
LSW is the new r70beta. Sorry I spaced it and said 3.1.0 above.
It was working on v0.91beta until this morning.
Skillet is 1.12.2
The value and cost columns look like they're populating fine, and Skillet will sort by name, difficulty, etc too
Thanks for pointing to your version though, I'll be sticking with it
Also, is there any way get an inventory count into Skillet to go with the Value and Cost columns? that would be a dream come true for bulk glyph making
auc-advanced (which itself requires stubby)
auc-scandata
but here's where it gets complicated.
those two modules plus any stat module are theoretically enough -- assuming that stat module is the one you like to use for all pricing.
any additional stat modules are there to provide different techniques to price items. by default, lsw uses the "market price" which is a combination of all available module data -- the more modules, the "better" the price estimation.
so in terms of which modules *need* to be loaded, it's a difficult question to answer. i would suggest simply leaving all the stat modules on. i think the biggest drag on your system would be the actual auction data more than the individual modules, if that is your concern.
when you right-click on a column, you can select which pricing module you wish to use for pricing. you only need the ones that you find useful. you can read about the different modules at auctioneer's site.
sorry if that's not a simple answer.
the readme is a bit old, so i can update it. are you asking me to explain the modules for auc-adv a bit more there?
Auc-adv comes in many parts/modules some of which are stat modules.
I would like a list of any parts of auc-adv which MUST be loaded when you log a crafter toon. You might want to seperate out any modules that bring data in as I/possibly others may gather AH data on another toon/bank toon.
I am aware of the feature in the workshop to select which pricing module to use for pricing. I was not refering to that part.
AH addon - Auctioneer.
I have a bank toon. All items bought from the AH are bought logged in as bank toon. All modules of Auc-adv are ticked for bank toon.
Other toons actually craft. As such they do not need all of Auc-adv's modules to be ticked.
Now for the 64 million dollar question:
Which modules of Auc-adv do I NEED ticked to use your workshop?
Please please add an entry into the readme.txt file that accompanies this addon.
I am aware of the market price melting pot of stat issue, but since everything I sell is appraiser fixed price I won't be needing any stats modules?
Yes I am trying to keep the addons loaded per toon as lean as possible because I tend to collect way to many :)
There is no disenchanting prices listed.
it worked with v0.91b
i use atsw version 0.7.5
and r69 works now thx
by the way that is the best addon that it give for wow trading
