LilSparky's Workshop
LilSparky's Workshop adds auction-derived pricing information for trade skills right into the trade skill recipe frame. Each skill is evaluated for material costs and potential value of the item created. These two numbers are listed next to each skill in an easy-to-read format.
Supported Auction Scanners:
- Auctioneer
- AuctionLite
- AuctionMaster
- Auctionator
Optionally Requires:
- Informant (for vendor availability)
LibPeriodicTable (for vendor availability)
Trade Skill Interfaces Supported:
- GnomeWorks
- AdvancedTradeSkillWindow
- Skillet
- Blizzard's Standard UI
- Doublewide Tradeskills
- Tradeskill HD
Auction pricing models can be selected by right-clicking either the value column or the cost column (each can have a different pricing method attached).
The Value column can be left clicked to cycle through the different valuation methods for the resultant item: Auction Value (a), Vendor Value (v), Disenchant Value (d) or the greatest of the three different values (the default). Any instance of an item Value being greater than the Cost to create it will have a highlighted Value entry. Optionally, the Value column can be displayed as a percentage of the Cost column.
The Cost column simply sums up the costs for each reagent and reports the total.
Both columns can be combined into a single "Profit" column which simply reflects the Value minus the Cost.
Tooltips for each column give more details about the price breakdowns LSW is considering.
A note regarding vendor availability:
LSW utilizes supplied item databases to determine when an item is readily available from a vendor. Occasionally this may not be accurate, usually because the item is a trade in for another item and not buyable with gold. I have provided a simple way to over-ride the vendor database:
/script LSWConfig.vendorOverride[item#] = (true/false/nil)
The item# is the item ID for the specific item. It is a single number. For example, 2589 is Linen Cloth.
Setting the value to "true" means the item is available at the vendor.
Setting the value to "false" means the item is not available at the vendor.
Setting the value to "nil" means to use the provided databse.
There is now also a right-click option to override the vendor availability and also to hand enter specific prices for items.
A note about frame/auction support:
LSW utilizes a plug in scheme to handle support to handle pricing and frame support. I am unlikely to add additional plugins directly into LSW. The goal of the plugin system is to provide basic templates that other addon authors could employ to provide LSW support on their end while at the same time providing functionality for a base set of common mods. Addon authors are free to contact me regarding the plugin system if issues arise or the system doens't make sense.
Skillet mainline is being updated again. Do you recommend your branch still for now, or the mainline?
i could certainly hardwire runeforging to be disabled. for other trades, i'd have to come up with some kind of options scheme...
*Allow disabling LSW with certain professions. I don't really care for how much my Runeforging enchants will sell for, for example, nor my bandages, and LSW takes time to load when I open those windows. It's a little thing, but it'd be nice if it were added.
*The values sometimes jump outside the window when I make things/click things. I'm not sure if there's a pattern to it, but for those of us with OCD, it'd be nice if the values stayed in one place.
Thanks!
which tradeskill frame are you using?
what's wrong with me?
Ya, sorting works with your branch, but not with the mainline.
At least with Tailoring and Smelting. Enchanting and Inscription seem to sort fine.
I tried out your Ace branch, but got a ton of errors that seem related to Ackis Recipe List so I'm back to old Skillet and v0.91 of LSW.
now if you d/l with cc, you will get the actual latest version...
You're doing great work!
so is the sorting working now?
i'll look at how the sorts interact with the mainline skillet branch
it's possible something is broken.Ah, Nice, your Clone of skillet works. As well, I hadn't used your clone in months, it looks really nice now. I think I will use it over the mainline repository.
This occurs with an old Skillet r157 and after updating to most recent r165, with LSW r72: My characters with Inscription and Enchanting do their LSW sorting correctly for Item Value, Reagent Cost, and Profit. But with Smelting and Tailoring on another character, I can't seem to get any rhyme or reason out of the sorting with any of the 3 LSW sorting options. For instance, looking at my tailoring right now, and sorted by "LSW: Item Value" it shows in order descending: 190g, 17g8s, 55g86s,9g20s,14g95s,etc... This is clearly not correct and it continues in this illogical approach in all 3 sort approaches and all the way down. I have tried rescanning, closing/reopening the profession, reloading the UI, upgrading my Skillet from that old version, logging on and off the characters whose profession do sort properly, and still no luck. Not sure what is wrong with smelting and tailoring to sort improperly. I hope a fix can be found.
Edit: I will try your most up to date clone of Skillet r160 and see what I come up with.
there's a lilsparky skillet thread in the forum here at wowace that might be a better place to discuss this... other people have complained of a similar problem, but i haven't found the issue.

I'm using your custom clone branch. It keeps happening every time. I would queue up about 50 glyphs, then make them all, then check the AH for more stuff to make, then I can't search anymore because it doesn't work.
Thanks for the help btw.
