Description

LoggerHead is a an automated combat log enabler. It allows you to select via a simple GUI interface which Zones and Instances to automatically enable for logging. LoggerHead has a LDB module for those running a Data Display. Left Click toggles logging. Right Click opens configuration screen. Enjoy.

Notes

Development on Github:Source, releases, and issue tracker are now on Github.

Classic support: Classic (and Classic TBC) are not supported. It might work, but it probably won't. Contributions to add support are welcome!

New in version 4: Loggerhead dynamically builds dungeon and raid information instead of relying on external libraries. What this means is that your configuration menu will *ONLY* show instances and difficulties that you have discovered/entered. Better yet, it also means that LoggerHead will work with new dungeons and raids without having to be updated!!!

If you go in to the GUI and enable the option to prompt to turn logging on when you enter a new zone, and then zone in to Ulduar and enable it for that zone, you can then turn the prompt option off and it will automatically enable logging every time you zone back in. Not an update obviously, but it keeps you from having to manually start the logging when you get rezd/run back, etc.

I am so bummed I cannot update this mod (and 88 others like it) with wowmatrix. curse-gaming is lame. please unblock you mod because im not sure it's worth going to this lousy website everytime i need to do an update. thank you.

Here's the workaround, 2 ways of doing it:
Turn on 'Prompt on new zone'. Enter Ulduar, select 'enable logging for Ulduar'.

If you don't have a raid available to test with, exit WoW, go to your WTF folder, under \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\Youraccount\SavedVariables and edit loggerhead.lua.

Add the following line under the line that looks like: ["Karazhan"] =
["Ulduar"] = true,

Setting to true means autologging in Ulduar, setting to false means no logging.

Now go back into the game. Next time you're in a raid group your log will auto-enable in Ulduar.

Anyone know when this addon will be updated to include Ulduar? Now that something new is out I really miss it!

The mod relies on the embedded LibTourist to provide zone information, and that library is out of date. To fix: edit the LibTourist lua file, find the three sections that refer to Ulduar which are commented out, and uncomment them. (two are zone links into Storm Peaks, the third is the zone array for Ulduar)

Doesn't appear to work. I just get an error when loggerhead loads with those uncommented.

Fixed the error, but logging doesn't automatically start for Ulduar. The option Ulduar doesn't show up under the addon config, and I haven't figured out where to put it in loggerhead yet. Any ideas?

I can confirm that uncommenting these three lines does not work. I still do not get an option for Ulduar in the LoggerHead settings menu. I've tried searching in every library and lua file... can't figure this out.

Any ideas?

J'ai testé et celà fonctionne.

Il fallait lever les commentaires sur toute la zone sur la 3eme occurrence.

Ne pas oublier de cocher la zone dans votre LoggerHead

I have the addon, but I don't have a minimap icon, or anything I can click. The only options I see are in the interface tab in the game menu. In there I do not see the toggle log on and off options.

Would it be possible to differentiate between heroic and non-heroic versions of instances? For example, I'd like to automatically enable logging for Heroic Naxxramas, but not have it enabled for Non-Heroic Naxxramas.

FYI, I develop this mod exclusively at WoWAce. There has been a version there that supports WotLK zones since November 5th. So, please do not declare this mod dead or post links to other sites.

Wowace is not for distribution to users. It's for development. They don't have to bandwidth to support large-scale distribution, thus the entire deal with Curse.

That said, if you want us to bookmark some wowace.com URL and check it for updates, put it in the project description and we can do it. But Wowace might not be happy.

The LDB type should be "data source" not "launcher". Launchers have no text and for LDB displays that go with the specification, enabled/disabled text does not show. Can you please fix?

the author doesn't seem to be updating it at curse/wowace anymore (s)he seems to be updating it only at wowinterface. here is the most up to date Version 3.0.83 Date: 12-20-2008 01:35 PM
