(Update 9/17) in patch 7.1 the default UI slider was removed and the cvar renamed to cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor

You can also use this command instead of this addon (in Classic)

/console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor 2.6

Hi m8, it doesnt work for me the camera is still at 39, ill tryied to set to more but it cames back to 39.

Hi there, the camera indeed won't go past 39 yards. The Asmongold video in the description is an old video, Blizzard has already fixed the bug for unlimited zoom distance.

No, you need to prehook the zoom functions with a script or addon

Blizzard did not provide any command or CVar we could use

local increment = 4 -- default is 1 local oldZoomIn = CameraZoomIn local oldZoomOut = CameraZoomOut function CameraZoomIn(v) oldZoomIn(increment) end function CameraZoomOut(v) oldZoomOut(increment) end

just heared about this addon. Tryed it out but the max camera didnt change for me. Did blizzard break max camera addons or does it just need to be updated for 7.3 ?

For some odd reason i can no longer get the mod to load in i even tried to protect load it with ACP nothing works so i just uninstalled it. Lemme know if theres a way to fix this

Are you using DynamicCam?

MaxCam won't load if that addon is loaded, since DynamicCam has the same features and more

Ow, MaxCam indeed also won't work if FasterCamera is loaded since they are basically the same addon

The 50 to 1000 yards camera distance was only possible for one week in August 2016 if you read the reddit thread, now it's limited to 39 yards like any other addon

I did post those screenshots below but they were for nostalgic purposes and only taken during that time

I know we can just issue the command once now, but I like the increased scroll speed.
