mMinimap
Adds the possibility to move the minimap to wherever you want it and also style it with border and font.
It also hides all the unwanted icons arround the minimap, but also show some of them when you mouse over.
What it also can do
- Move and re-size the standard quest tracker.
- Move the place where your open tickets appear.
- Move the capture bar.
- Move the durability frame.
- Move the vehicle seat frame
- Move the zone text
- Use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
- Moves the looking for group queue information window to the middle of the screen
- Adds coordinates to the minimap, default they are hidden but shows up when mouse over.
- Hies the tracking icon until mouse over, but can be set to always show.
Access configuration via "/mm" or DataBroker icon.
Anyone else having this problem?
I'll try and add an option to show it again.
Same thing sometimes happens with quest tracker field, it shrinks in width even if in wow interface/objective options wider objective tracker is checked.
2.0 now is completely re-written and can now hide and show most items, move them to any place you want anchor them to any other item and so on. Give it a try.
Is there any possibility of having an option to hide the location text? So far I've just commented out lines 309 and 310 (I'm no programmer).

Whats wrong ?
Will make a new version soonish with this fixed. The cause of it is that AceGUI-3.0 was changed internally and the GUIFactory uses some internal parts there to generate the configuration window.
For some reason I can't even open the config anymore (with /mm or broker) the error is this:
"1x ...p\Libs\LibGUIFactory-1.0\Widgets\UIF-InlineGroup.lua:65: attempt to index field 'border' (a nil value):"
The error is longer just let me know if you need to see more. For now I'm gonna have to use another minimap mod, will return when this gets fixed.
Sounds good because this minimap mod is really nice.
Sorry have had no time to do anything on this addon for some time. Most of my time goes into developing Raid Watch 2.
The TimeManagerClockButton error happens some times for me too but I just reload UI the few times it happen. But I will try and fix it as soon as I can.
Any chance you could fix the error or give an estimate on an update?

I get this error few time a day: (reload always fixes it)

Also the "Boss frames" in "Gunship Battle" and such goes under the minimap and is not shown when you use "move frames".
But got a few more busy weeks before I can work on my addon projects, after that I will make sure its all working.
I am having an issue where my Mail and Tracker icons appear inside the minimap area and I can't find a way to move them. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I like where this one is going, two minor things tho:
1) Can you add an option to move and/or hide the dungeon difficulty indicator? 2) "Looking for Fungeon" (nice typo btw.!) indicator in the map is a little bit annoying if you are actually in a full group. Again, an option to hide and/or move it would be appreciated.
Besides that (and a handful of spelling errors) this addon is pretty much awesome!
I took this to mean that all the minimap buttons that other addons add to the minimap would be hidden and would show up when mousing over the minimap. For me it doesn't, all my minimap buttons are visible around the map. I guess you were referring to the default Blizzard buttons. I once used a minimap mod that did this, it hid all the addon buttons until you moused-over the minimap. Would you consider adding that feature so those of us who use MinimapButtonFrame can stop using that addon?
I also thought that since you said we could move the zone text I just assumed you would have given us the option to hide it as well. This isn't a complaint, I mean you didn't actually say we could, I made that assumption myself so no problem there. But yeah it would be nice to remove it altogether since I have an addon called Recommended Zone that uses a LDB button to display it top center of my screen. I know I can just push it off the screen so I don't see it using your zone text settings but that's not really the ideal way to handle it.
As far as the coordinates and clock go could we have an option to remove them as well too? I use SLDataText to show that info (including fps, memory, latency, durability etc) at the bottom left of my screen where many of my other LDB are. And using SLDataText I also push the coords outside and below the minimap so it's not blocking any of the minimap or my Gathermate nodes.
So, yeah I'm sorry. I misunderstood you about the addon buttons around the minimap and the zone text. If those two things I spoke of are not something you want to do for your addon I understand. As far as my impression of your addon goes, it's actually quite nice, has nice features and works out of the box. Your config window is well done too.
Anyhow, unless you plan on considering some of the options I was asking for, sadly I will need to stick with my current setup of pMinimap + MoveAnything + MinimapButtonFrame.
