Mobile Vault

Table of Contents

MobileVault allows you to take a snapshot of your guild bank and view it from anywhere. The addon also provides item counts on the tooltips, from any vault you have scanned.

Feedback is appreciated, please use the ticket system to report bugs or request new features!

If you are upgrading from a 2.0 version to a 3.0 version your saved vaults will be wiped due to a database overhaul. Rescan your guild banks to get data again.
If you get an error after updating when you mouseover an item, delete your saved variables and rescan your guild banks. If you still get an error file a ticket.

Slash Commands

To access the configuration screen type /mgv or /mobilevault

To show the snapshot window type /mgv show or use the LDB launcher.

Features

First off, I want to say thank you for this addon. I have been having issues with the last update. Everytime I try to customize the frame, the outer frame and content split up into two frames and never revert back to normal unless I log off.

Version 3.0.0 is out now since guilds will be getting Level 5 about now, which adds the 7th tab. The 2.0 line would not scan the 7th and 8th tabs.

Mobile Vault 3.0 is coming soon.

The third version is basically just a change to how the data is stored within the addon. You should notice no changes in the tooltips or Image frame. Scanning still works the same. The goal for the third version is a small savings in memory to store the information.

MGV 3.0 will also be fully compatible with the new 8 tab guild banks in Cataclysm.

As part of the update I had to remove the FuBar plugin and replace it with a LDB feed. So unless you have a LDB display or the Broker2Fubar addon you will no longer see a minimap button.

I do apologize for the suddenness of the change and giving no warning, but I had continual issues with getting FuBar to work in all cases after this patch and switching to LDB was the easiest solution.

As for old guilds in tooltips, there should be an option under the Tooltips section to change what gets displayed. If they aren't listed there, you'll have to reset your saved variables for the addon (by deleting the file in the WTF folder of your WoW install)

I'll add some code to clean up a little better in an upcoming release.

Have used Mobile Vault for some time and love it. However, I'm having a couple issues since installing this version. I no longer have a mini map button to open the Vault. Also, it is listing some old deleted Guilds under the item tooltip options. Any idea how I can remove these old Guilds from my system? Thanks for a great addon and any help you can offer.

Linking items from the snapshots is fixed in 2.0.5 and will properly add the item links to the correct editbox when you are using IM chat mode.

Either via slash commands (/mobilevault or /mgv) or LDB feed should pull up the display of the vault. By default, it would pull up whatever guild vault is associated with the character you are currently playing. On the upper-left corner of the display, you should see a red button titled "Guilds"; clicking this button should allow you to select other guild vaults. It can't show a guild vault unless you look at that vault at least one time with a character in that guild.

Basically, the addon takes a "snapshot" of the vault's contents when you look at it, to be shown when you need it. It cannot be updated unless you view the vault again after someone has modified the vault or placed/removed items. It can't talk to the game server and ask for an update - you need to view the vault every once in a while, especially if you are in a busy guild that uses the vault a lot.

I've looked at the guild vault several times, and typed in /mobilevault and /mgv and I never seem to see that red button.

Hi,

The command to show the vault snapshot is '/mgv show'

As Avanina said, if you have other vault snapshots saved, in the upper left of the snapshot window will be a red button that says "Guilds", clicking on that will show a dropdown menu with the other saved snapshots. Clicking on one of the name will change the current snapshot to that guild.

There's no way to 'export' data out of the game. Addons can only save variables so that their settings and data can be saved between sessions. Even if the author went through the nightmare of manipulating and formatting the data, you would still have to go to your wtf folder and mess around with your savedvariables files to extract the info and insert it into your website.

Guild vault contents are available to guild members on the wow armory.

Is there a command I can use to manually force Mobile Vault to refresh the guild vault's contents? Bagnon now replaces the guild vault with its own frame, although it still doesn't allow you to view the contents when you're not physically at a guild bank. Anyway, because the frame is replaced, mobile vault isn't recognizing that it should refresh the contents.

Reskinning the guild bank frame shouldn't affect MGV scanning... I'll download the Bagnon beta and see whats up.
