Parrot
Floating Combat Text of awesomeness.
Displays Events from the combatlog (damage, healing, ...) as moving text and numbers across the Screen. It also supports various other Events (Loot, Cooldowns, ...). Further Parrot offers a Trigger-system to display Text and play sounds on certain predefined events (e.g. Nightfall for Warlocks).

FAQ
Q: "I created a custom Trigger doing <something>. Is it worthy to be in parrots default triggers?"
A: In many cases it is. If you want to contribute a custom trigger to be added to the default triggers, please post a ticket where you describe *exactly* how you set it up. I can't figure that out for every class and every spec.
Q: "Parrot is not showing heals, but it's enabled in the options"
A: Since 3.2 WoW displays every full overheal in the combatlog (even for HoTs). That's why Parrot v1.9.0+ contains an option in Events to "Hide full overheals" which is enabled by default to avoid unnecessary spam.
Q: ''I want to use custom fonts and sounds in Parrot, but there are none available'
A: Parrot doesn't provide sounds or additional fonts (only the fonts included in WoW)
For additional fonts and sounds please install SharedMedia.
To use custom sounds and fonts see the "INSTRUCTIONS for MyMedia.txt" in the SharedMedia-folder.
Q: "Whenever I /reload or log back in again, parrot auto-hides blizzard's default outgoing damage text (the one above the mob in question). Is there any way to avoid having to enable blizz's functions all the time?
A: When enabled Parrot manages the settings for Blizzard FCTs damage- and heal-display. You can enable these features to be used with Parrot in the config (General->Game damage/healing)
Q: "Sometimes when Looting stackable items, the stackcount is off. Why isn't this fixed?"
A: The problem is, that the Interface-event for the Loot is sometimes triggered before, and sometimes after the item was put in the bag (depending on lag). If anyone knows a solution that does not involve constantly polling the bags' content, I'm open to suggestions.

Thank you.
Hello everyone, I've had enough people ask me about this, so I'm just gonna leave a comment here. I have an updated version of Parrot here. It'll use your existing Parrot settings, you just need to delete the original Parrot and install Parrot 2.
Trying what Brexin said below, simply deleting and reinstalling the addon doesn't work, nor does deleting the settings for it, but using a third party program like Curse or WoWMatrix to fully uninstall Parrot and then reinstalling it did work. I used WoWMatrix to do it and Brexin used Curse; others may work as well.
Once you've done a full wipe and a reinstall, the addon works great again. You lose all your settings in the process, of course.
Everything seems to work fine except that the events can't find the scroll areas, so when trying to pick where an event is shown, you get a blank list. This of course results in nothing ever being shown and the addon not actually doing anything at all.
FIX:
(i was using the curse program for doing this but i'm sure it is not required)
I uninstalled the addon and chose the option to delete all addon data.
I reinstalled the addon.
FIXED :)
I'm in the same boat as the last few comments. Parrot worked great until the release day of legion. No matter which options i play with i cannot get parrot to work.
Any Updates? It does not work anymore?
Well in lieu of the ticketing system which seems to be broken, here's the error I keep getting:

Other than this, seems to be working great. Thanks for updating!
Ticket page appears to be broken, so posting here. Parrot worked for me for a short time period but no longer appears. The first time I enter combat and use a skill I get the following error: http://pastebin.com/yy14s7KZ
I tried reinstalling the addon and running without any other addons enabled, both produced a similar error.
I can't get the ticket system for Parrot to load. I get a error 500. This doesn't happen on other WoWAce tickets (like https://www.wowace.com/addons/button-bin/tickets/) so I think it's something wrong with Parrot.
I have a CVar bug that is happening and I'd like to see if there's already a report, and report it if not. Thank you!
i had given up hope :O thanks!
edit: oh, nothing is showing up though? tried with blizzard combat text enabled and disabled
Trying to submit a bug but the ticketing page seems to be down. Not sure if it's just a temporary or not.
Is there anyone else who has problems with Parrot since Legion? For me it doesn't show any scrolling combat texts at all, only the standard WoW damage and healing and at the position of the target, even though I disabeled them.
Thank you for updating Parrot again!
One question though. I cannot seem to disable Blizzard's automatic damage / healing pop-up numbers even with Parrot on and all the proper interface options disabled.
Anyone figure this out?
Hello. I love this addon. Thank you for updating addon!
thank God
Newest alpha should take care of most issues.
Some lua-errors still remain (but they don't seem to affect functionality). I'll take a look later.
Has been used, please update support 6.2.0 patch!
Judging by author's lack of response and the recent removal of the addon on Curse, I think it's safe to say this won't be fixed Droole. I changed to MSBT myself and got it set up almost identical to my old Parrot settings.
Hi love this addon since I discovered it...its not a big deal but every time I change talents I get this error...everything else works perfectly:
