PitBull Unit Frames 3.0
Please note that PitBull3 is no longer being actively developed. On top of lack of active development itself, it's based on the Rock framework which itself is no longer maintained either.
I strongly recommend that users migrate to PitBull4. You can not convert your config from PitBull3 and must reconfigure.
PitBull4 itself can be found at:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/pitbull4.aspx
You can find guides for setting it up at:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/guide/
And the FAQ here:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/pitbull4/pages/faq/
While PitBull4 is still in beta it is fully functional and has more features than PitBull3. It is actively developed on and bug fixes made regularly.
I do not plan on making any fixes to PitBull3 once Cataclysm releases. So you have plenty of time to make the migration.

PitBull is a Unit Frames addon that provides maximal customization and undergoes rigorous efficiency testing. It is created in a modular framework, which allows for mulitple authors to put their skills to work creating this great project.
It has support for many different kinds of units: player, target, pet, pet's target, target of target, target of target of target, focus, focus' target, party, party pets, party targets, party pet targets, raid, raid pets, raid targets, main tanks, main tank targets, main assists, main assist targets, etc.
Note: Almost all texts are configurable using the LibDogTag-3.0 format. See http://old.wowace.com/wiki/LibDogTag-3.0 for details or type '/dog' in-game.

i really like this mod and love the customization, but my fps goes from and average of 30 to 17 when i use this. any thoughts?
Any plans to make this more configurable like Discord?
I would like to resize reposition and remove various parts of the UI but it appears impossible on the fly.
I liken this mod to a new car, works great for kids who don't want to mess with it or experts that know how to mess with the guts, but for me the old muscle car Discord lets me tinker away and fine tune what I like.
And DUF works just fine still.
You do know that you're posting in the wrong forum with requests like this. You should go over to the www.wowace.com forums and post there - try to be a bit more specific about what you are looking for. You can currently reposition anything in PitBull by just dragging it. You can resize All frames or just individual frames using the Config UI. You can remove any frame by turning it off in the config ui. How would you like it to be different? Again, post requests at http://www.wowace.com/forums/
can we get some pictures?
Well, the problem with posting pics to PitBull is that it is SO configurable that you couldn't possibly get a pic that showed all of what is available. (That configurability is its biggest strength and weakness - makes it difficult to get set up initially but once you do - its fantastic.)
Check out the WoWAce forums for LOADS of cool PitBull layouts:

Completely love the look of Pitbull over X-Perl. A couple of questions if anyone knows...
1) MT window and MT target window do not work. I am not using CTRaid any longer. Does pitbull require another addon for this feature to work?
2) In the raid windows, as a priest, I would only like to see my buffs appear on each person in the raid frame. I also want the buffs to appear inside the raid frame for each individual as it does with X-Perl.
3) The raid icon for a target was not showing up on my target (skull, x, moon, etc..) I'm sure there is a setting for this somewhere but I did not see it.
I appreciate any help any can give.
1) It requires that the MT is set up in CTRA or oRA or other such addon. For some unknown reason, PitBull doesn't use the Blizzard Raid settings even though you can designate MT and OT in the Blizzard interface now. You don't have to have CTRA or oRA installed, but your raid leader has to use them to designate the MT I think.
2) Look on the www.wowace.com forum for PitBull. There are MANY setup scripts there. I use the Perfect Raid style script that someone posted there but instead of letters I just have it show my filtered auras. Works great as a priest in raids!
3) Yes, there is a setting for it with the rest of icons (like incombat, pvp flagged, etc)
Turn off combat fader to remove the blinking - you may be able to do it for All in the top section. I did the same thing - found the blinking rather annoying.
I dont understand why this mod puts all the bars all over your screen kinda distracting with no easy way to turn them off
I was using x-pearl and decided to try this. Great mod but the configuration menu sucks. Some options greys out or suddenly disppears and the profile option doesn't even work. After spending about an hour tryig to do something that can be done in 2 mins with x-pearl (because their options actually work), I decided this isn't the mod for me.
Agreed - the config dialog is VERY buggy for this app. Once you get all the kinks worked out you almost never have to go back into it. Getting my PitBull set up was a huge pain in the rear but the level of configurability that PitBull offers over other unitframe mods is outstanding and unparalleled.
i found a fix for the problem when you HIDE BLIZZARD FRAMES "TARGET" doesnot work it removes picture and name but not " frame"
i disabled the Archaeologist addon (this comes with COSMOS)
no more probelm hope this helps
I had the same problem - if your Blizz unit frames are partially showing you need to disable some other addons (Archealogist eh?) then log in, then re-enable them. Once you log in with PitBull and it sets its values you can turn your other addons back on and it will work fine. This was the original reason I didn't use PitBull in 2 times trying it. Glad I muscled through and figured it out cuz now I'm all fanboi.
how can i both hide party and raidframes in bg? how can i restore the fubar pittbull plugin! thanks.
Have a question if anyone know.... when in combat the MT or in pvp my targets target or a party member will go black on the health bars. Just in combat. Any ideas?
Maybe your config for the color of that bar is to go black instead of red. Go into the settings for that specific bar and set it back to red.
Ok i love this addon, but I am missing a few key features that I used to get with Xperl.
1 - How do I move the buffs/debuffs of my target to be below the frame instead of to the right of it.
2 - How do I keep my party frame active when I get invited to a raid?
3 - How do I make it so that MY personal debuffs on the target are larger than all the other debuffs?
1. Go into the configuration menu. Go to Target. The buff settings [Called "Auras" here] are in Other. Just click on Auras, look down till you see "Side" just change that to Bottom.
2. /Pitbull > Party > Other > Uncheck Hide party frames in raid
3. Not sure you can do that. I settled with just having my debuffs showing. Well, in fact I settled with cancelling Pitbull's auras altogether and using the Quartz ones.
