PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

The Unit group dropdown on the first tab is still set to Party, so your Raid10 group is still a party group.

I want to make sure I understand where you are having the issue.

You made a layout you want to use on your party frames. (Called whatever you wanted to call it)
You then went to Groups, and selected Party from the drop down of active group
You applied the layout you made to the party in the lower section of the same tab. (called whatever layout name you called it)

Now if you want to make changes to that layout, you are working under the layouts section.

From what I am getting it sounds like you either didn't apply the layout to the party group or you are trying to edit the party frames under the layout without having anything but the default layout applied.

no it's not ToT, or Focus target, because i generally don't use those frames.

new group/layouts of my creation are
Player, Target, Raid, and Party
each of those frames are different (raid are set to be like grid, mainly cuz i can't get the grid addons to work), Target frames is scaled larger, different font, hp % (can't figure out the power bar left side text....set to nothing but still shows lvl, type & class), Player frame is a bit smaller than target, no name lvl class type, hp and mp at condensed short (19.5k etc), colorclass on all frames.

Now, in order to get a frame to do the selected changes, i have to select what frame i'm going to change right? Party isn't on there for me to change. Its not like i'm calling something different in layout, cuz thats just a name to put what changes to what frame. I can change every frame except Party.

I'll post a link for a video of it when i get the chance.

It is a bit confusing to start configuring. However i can't edit party frames; so i when i'm in a party, each player frame isn't set to the layout of my creation. I'll deal with the other things later, but this is a HUGE problem for me. This also might be causing a duplicate party set; weird i know.

I would have party frames, grouped tightly together (like grid), and then all of the sudden i would have individual party member frames acting like regular player frames. I have no idea what i did or did not do in order to get that.

Did you make a new group at some point? (for example a party pets or party targets group)

Is it possible that you have some singleton frames still turned on such as target's target or focus target and those are what you are seeing?

Just in case anyone had the same issue I did while trying to fix this problem: there are a few addons with names similar to "Shared Media". Ace has "AceGUI-3.0-SharedMediaWidgets"; Blizzard has "SharedMedia-Blizzard". Trillane is simply referring to, exactly, "SharedMedia". I bumped into the Ace addon first and that threw me off for a while trying to fix the PitBull bar texture issue above.

There appears to be a conflict between PitBull 4.0 and Prat 3.0's dependency, Prat 3.0 [Libraries]. Enabling both results in the above LUA error and an empty texture selection list even when SharedMedia is installed and active.

I get the following LUA error every time I try to change the bar texture. It does not allow me to change the texture, and only comes up with a blank dropdown menu, with nothing in:

Both of you:

It sounds like you may have an issue with where your Shared Media is installed. I would suggest dling and reinstalling Shared Media and see if that doesn't fix the issue for you.

Library in current Prat release is broken. You can update to the alpha of Prat (or hopefully the next release soon if sylvanaar tags another) or install AceGUI-3.0-SharedMediaWidgets.

I have exactly the same problem! I want to turn off the cast bar but it wont do anything. My frames go down to 2fps while the config window for cast bar, experience bar and health bar is up! I cant change any settings there. Threat bar is fine tho...

I'm also experiencing this for a couple different setting tabs where if I try and change the settings, I drop to 1 or 2 fps and cannot uncheck them or change settings. As soon as I give up and either close pitbull4 or go to a different tab it's totally fine. playing on a new intel mac fwiw. I can document which menu items are unresponsive if it would help

I've seen this problem once before. I couldn't reproduce it and reloading the UI stopped it. Probably some sort of bug in AceConfig.

I get some pretty bad lag when in the Layout Editor -> Bars -> Health Bar, Experience Bar, Reputation Bar, and Threat Bar. I've tried disabling all addons except Pitbull and libraries (all libraries enabled; not just Pitbull's) to no avail. Is this repeatable, or something with my setup for me to figure out?
