PitBull Unit Frames 4.0

Getting Started:

You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.

Classic

PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases (the same releases retail use).

Classic Era caveats:

Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Yea, thats probably it, i do use Prat and i sometimes get lua errors about something like "floating chat frame" so that sounds reasonable. Saw that there came out an update today so that will most likely fix it. Thanks for the fast reply :)

This is caused by a broken AceGUI-3.0-SharedMediaWidgets library. Prat shipped with a broken version of this. Install:
http://www.wowace.com/addons/ace-gui-3-0-shared-media-widgets/
to work around the issue for now.

Ï dont know if this have been said before or if its just me but in the Bars section of the Layout tab the Health Bar customization is kinda bugged. First the frame rate drops to about 2-3 fps and several options such as the texture picker doesnt show correctly. Anyhow an awesome addon, keep the good work up :)

Sounds like the Prat issue others are having. If you are using Prat you need to update to the alpha, there was a broken Shared Media in the latest release version.

If you aren't using Prat please let us know.

I can assure you the comment you posted was read. However it is my understanding, Pitbull currently uses the Portrait options that are enabled by Blizzard, without adding or subtracting from what they provide.

This means that if Blizzard has labeled "crotch section of rock giant" as "full body portrait" when I use full body portraits and view a rock giant my image is "crotch section of rock giant."

If you would prefer an alternative way for PB to handle portraits, you could request it as a new feature (I'd make a ticket on wowace - same log in as here) OR there are mods that will let you set custom portrait options that you could use. New implementation features do take longer to do, and may depend on how popular the suggestion is or what type of performance adding them will entail.

Hey again.

I kind of posted this problem a few weeks ago, but I don't think the ticket was ever read by one of the developers :P

Alright:
While using widescreen resolutions, the 3D portraits clip through the unit frames. Especialy female humans have this problem, female UD's and blood elves clip through while doing certain movements. I can see INSIDE the character's head while that's happening. Am I doing something wrong? It's like the 3D portrait camera is too near.

This does not happen when using non-widescreen resolutions.

This addon works great with pitbull and solves my problem (and it looks quite sexy to boot):

Hey! How can I disable raid, party, party pets etc. frames?
Groups -> disable? or remove? idk what to do ;o

Yeah, I was going to try that, I was just putting it off. I thought it might be Healbot, but then found out that I don't have it turned on for ANY character. But when I find out which one it is, I'll post a reply.

I found it! It was MetaHud. I had to type /metahud menu, and under general, Blizzard Frames, Player Frames.

Well it has to be one of them. This isn't a PitBull4 issue. It's a some other addon thinking that its configuration for hiding Blizzard frames is authoritative. I hear about Healbot a lot, if there are others out there it wouldn't surprise me, so I'd be interesting in hearing which addon it is.

What you need to do is test this by turning off all addons but PitBull4 and turning them on one at a time until it stops behaving as you would expect. Whichever addon you turn on last is the one that has the issue, look for a config setting with it.

Every time I go through a loading screen or log on, I have to go under "Hide Blizzard Frames," disable, and re-enable it in order to make my player frames go away again. any ideas here?

An update to my previous post. I saw the post from someone else with this same problem. Healbot is disabled on this character, and my other addons don't seem to have this option.

Library in current Prat release is broken. You can update to the alpha of Prat (or hopefully the next release soon if sylvanaar tags another) or install AceGUI-3.0-SharedMediaWidgets.
