Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Posted Dec 28, 2010One user (silkfire) posted a work around in the comments here. We are not planning at this stage to make a correction to the entire addon since labeling errors tend to get corrected at some point by Blizzard at which point our "correction" would make them appear wrong again when they were finally "right."
We are keeping an eye on the issue and I believe it was reported to Blizzard.

Posted Dec 28, 2010It sounds like it may be time to do an addon clean up. Here's how I would do it:
Turn off ALL your add ons and look at the list. Start with ones you know you are currently using and turn them on only a few at a time. and do a test login to see if you get an errors.
Leave your non-embedded libraries turned off until you have "tested" to see if your add ons are throwing an error without them. When you get an error in an add on you know you are currently using pointing to a library turn that on and see if it corrects the error. This shows you what you are actually using.
You may find you have libraries for things you don't use anymore, but because of way back in the day when you DID use them they were added to your list, as something separate.
One thing to keep in mind when you are doing your cleanup. When you get to the point where you have some turned on and some left "turned off" be sure you play a bit as you normally would to ensure you REALLY are not using them before you go to the delete stage. Some libraries are used "on demand" and are not called at the very start when you load in but are called later.

Posted Dec 27, 2010When I log in to wow I get the following two lua errors:
"1x LibWrapperHealComm-1.0-8:29: table index is nil"
and
"1x AceComm-2.0-91091 (Ace2):157: attempt to index local 'text' (a nil value)
AceComm-2.0-91091 (Ace2):2339: in main chunk"
I've gone over to the Ace2 curse page only to find that comments are off, and the product has reached the "end of it's life" and is unsupported.
Can anyone help me figure out a way to eliminate these errors? I'd really like to eliminate Ace2 from my system altogether since it's apparently abandoned and unsupported (and causing problems).

Posted Dec 27, 2010Maybe I'm missing something. Does Pitbull show Blizzard buffs/debuffs i.e. Dungeon Deserter or No Man's Land? I just went through all the options in the auras section and some other places and couldn't find a place to list it. I tried searching the forums but nothing came up.

Thanks for the great addon, I've been using it for years now :)
Quick question, I see now that every boss encounter has its on default blizzard looking boss frame, are there any plans to allow us to hide or customize this frame in the future?
