Getting Started:
You can help translate PitBull for your language with the localization tool.
Classic
PitBull works with WoW Classic! Classic Era/Vanilla is supported in
v4.3.x-vanilla releases. Cataclysm Classic is supported in v4.2.x releases
(the same releases retail use).
Classic Era caveats:
- Aura duration is not available from the API, so PitBull uses LibClassicDurations to show them. The duration can be inaccurate if it's affected by rank or talents.
- Cast info is only available for your spells from the API. PitBull uses LibClassicCasterino to show cast bars for other units, but this can be inaccurate since there is a lot of guess-work involved.

Posted Dec 30, 2008Other resto druids and I started using Pitbull primarily because of the module "Pitbull_Lifebloombar." This (with Pitbull) is the only addon that puts a timer bar for this spell on the actual unit frame, which is very powerful when used with a "Click2Cast."
Currently in the comments for Pitbull_Lifebloombar, there's much discussion on getting this great module for Pitbull.3 to work for other spells/abilities.
Pitbull is awesome, but imo would be ultimate if there were a timer bar for ANY spell/ability on a unit frame. And not just HOTs... DOT timers on enemy frames, the works. Wow.
Please consider this in the development on this already awesome addon.

Posted Dec 26, 2008Pitbull is famed for its in-depth customization, I agree with woodbird. Improving ease of customization, not necessarily reducing the possibilities, and improving CPU Efficiency are all great things. I'll continue to watch the progress. I'm really excited to see what will come!
