This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

NOTICE:

This project has been frozen. Which means, it will be updated for upcoming patches, but it won't get any new features. If you want the same addon with support for items, then check out Broker_Portals. That is lightweight version of this addon, which is supported by much more "display bar" addons than Fubar. If you still want to use Fubar, then please use Broker_Portals together with Broker2Fubar. If you want to know more about the Broker prefix, make sure to checkout this post. Don't be scared and switch over to be one of the cool kids again and let this addon fall into oblivion.

Features:

All mage portals and hearthstone available from simple dropdown menu
Hearthstone location and cooldown in tooltip
Reagent count in tooltip

Localization:

If you'd like to add/update localizations, do so here. Then leave a comment here on CurseForge or on Curse as I'm checking those more often than localization app itself, and I'll repack it.

FAQ:

I managed to hide my minimap icon, how do I turn it on again?
- Just simply type "/portalfu".
I managed to disable the addon, how do I turn it on again?
- You have to enable it in FuBars options.
I'm not using FuBar, is it possible to use this addon without it?
- You can't use exactly this version, but here you can find the same addon, that works as standalone or as a plugin for TitanPanel or any other LDB display addon.
Will it ever support teleportation items like engineering teleports?
- No.

Youd it be possible to add a live some where telling you how many runes you have??
Maybe on the portal list you could have it look like this:?

CrazyBenny, just a minor patch to make DK Death Gate work. In PortalFu.lua, in the function OnInitialize, starting at line 91, make the if look like:

if class == "MAGE" then
self.portals = spells[UnitFactionGroup("player")]
elseif class == "DEATHKNIGHT" then
self.portals = { 50977 } -- Death Gate
end

You can now try TitanPanel version (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/broker-portals.aspx). It's just a beta version, but portals are working.

gravyray: if you type "/portalfu", does yellow text saying something like "slash command did not work" appear is chat? If not, then there must be some addon hiding minimap buttons, or it is hidden behind some other minimap icon.

i cannot get it to come on at all . not shown on mini map , typed slash command = nothing , even uninstalled and reinstalled = nothing , any help is greatly apprec'ed

Hi, I made an account just so I could ask this.
Since 3.0, your portalfu is one of the few Fubar applications to have been updated. However, even though I love fubar, I had to switch to Titan Panel because they had all the functions of fubar that I used and had them all updated (I use money, location, bag space, framerate, durability, and a few others).

I love portalfu so right now I am using an empty fubar just to keep portalfu running. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to make a Titan Panel version of portalfu? It would be much appreciated by me and I'm sure a lot of others.

Yocote: This mod was never ment to support any items. (There are more than just these scroll) Fubar - TransporterFu supports items, so with small modification, you could add these scrolls and it would work for you.

Thank you for the pointer.

I noticed that activating the hearth stone is included in your addon (and it shows even for non-mages), that was what made me make the request, as I thought that adding support the scrolls might be similar. I understand and respect your decision that you do not want to bloat your addon with other forms of transport.

Is there any hope on getting "scrolls of recall" supported by this addon? Those are BoP items made by inscribers that act as an extra hearthstone, on a 20 minute cooldown. A gotcha is that using a low rank scroll by a higher level character makes them work as "teleport: random", so some precaution should be added to select the proper rank. Level 5-40 characters use rank 1, level 41-70 characters use rank 2, level 71+ characters will use rank 3. See http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37118 and http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44314 .

ramboza: Titan panel uses different library for its pugins, so it's not that simple. I have that on schedule, but not sure, when I'll have time to get to it.

You type "RegisterTranslation" instead of "RegisterTranslations" in locales.lua, string 11, so ruRU locale doesn't work.

Fizbyn: Teleports works fine on ruRU. Heartstones doesn't work, but i already offer you a solution.
