Hello WoW community, I'm LuciferCatnip, Sylvanaar was my coworker and my mentor. It goes without saying that Jon was an amazingly talented individual. He always seemed to know everything... but he once said to me "It's not about knowing the answers, it's about asking the right questions", he always challenged me to ask me the right questions until I would arrive at the answer on my own terms. Jon was also a champion of the open source movement, and so with special thanks to Gil from Curseforge as well as Sylvanaar's family, there's no better way to honor Sylvanaar's legacy than to keep his project going strong in the community.

Prat-3.0 is a chat enhancement addon for World of Warcraft.
It is made up of 30+ smaller "modules" which each provide additional functionality, and can be enabled or disabled individually.
In game, type /prat for a menu. Or use the icon on one of the many data broker hosts.
Prat has just about every feature you can think of, and then some. Really. When I get some more time, I'll try and put together a full list (Even I have lost count)

- Sync your chat settings across your account (Beta)
- AI powered spam filter (Beta)
- Change arrows, buttons, mouse scroll for chat scroll, scroll speed
- you can add player color per channel, color per level, color per class
- timestamps (styled)
- whether to show timestamp (what format the timestamp should be in)
- whether to show players level
- you can select the option for channel "stickys" (last channel you used you auto use when hitting enter, that sort of thing – or last thing someone said)
- change the looks of the chat's editbox - as well as where it appears (you can even undock it and move it to where you'd like it to be)
- chat fading, fading delay
- You can change the font to a list of fonts, add an outline to it, monochrome it (if you don’t mind messing with files a bit you could probably even add other fonts to that list)
- change the chat frame/chat box appearance
- Keep chat history between game sessions
- Set channel abbreviations
- set brackets and color(or something instead of brackets)round player/lvl
- alt invite option (press keyboard “alt” button and click on the player’s name to auto inv them)
- raid icon
- invite links - click them to invite the person
- URL copying
- Full chat copying + copy button
- Click timestamp to copy line
- Configurable alerts when your name or other word is mentioned
- enables tell target /tt which whispers your target
- Alias options - make macros into short commands
- See names of players Alt characters
- change chat sounds (incoming and outgoing as well as per channel)
- Achievements info and grats
- Full chat search and search box
- Customizable filters for advanced users
- Show item icon next to item links and player class icon next to player names
- Icon-only options for newcomers chat
- Optional flashing or font color change for chat tabs when a new message comes in.
You can enable/disable all Prat modules - don't have to have the ones you don't use running
While trying to reduce resource utilization, it is also important to note that some people prefer the features, and don't care that an addon uses 500k more.

Posted Apr 25, 2015trying prat after using another chat addon for a long-time, i've been looking for a feature that allows me to see a linked item when hovering over it in chat. where would i find that? i'm using WIM as well which adds that functionality, but prat somehow doesn't play nice with that part.

Posted Apr 18, 2015Does anyone know how to fix prat 3.0 so when i link recount numbers it wont show every single number. It should only show a shorter number like 43.5k not 43,500. Anyone know how to fix it so when i link it the numbers are shown up exactly like recount shows.

Posted Apr 12, 2015Hey, great addon still! The 'Scroll Down Reminder' keeps on appearing when I enter something without being at the bottom. Is this a bug?
I usually disable all the buttons but it keeps reappearing. The arrow you know, the one that when clicked, takes us all the way down.

Posted Mar 31, 2015Hey. Been playing around with the invite functionality in Prat 3.0. It's so bugged on my side I don't know what to say.
If I enable either alt-invite or invite links I can't invite players at all. Using those methods or by right-clicking and selecting invite.
Now if I go in and disable "player names" module and re-enable it again without alt-invite or inv links enabled, then inviting players in the normal way works.
So basically, alt-inv and inv links aren't working for me at all.

Posted Apr 5, 2015Well it's not a link like www.curse.com but half the people who post a ts3 info have so you can just click on it like a link without like 3312.3123.6612.3 so you don't have to copypaste it but just able to click it, and there always seem to be [ ] around it, but whatever I do, I cannot make my ts3 info work as a link. Am I doing something wrong, or do I have to do something specific to make things works as a link?

Posted Mar 22, 2015After years of using this addon (I literally can't stand looking at my chat frames without this), I was really excited to see you add the option to remember frame positions with the profile. This will save so much time on new alts not having to position three different windows and their sizing, every time.
I did however run into a little snag that makes me sad. I don't know if it can be fixed, but hopefully! The snag is thus: If I have a particular tab grouped together in my main window on Profile1, and want it to be its own, un-docked window, in Profile2, the positioning of said tab does not save. It remains docked no matter how many times I drag it off the main window and re-save the Profile2.
Another minor thing, unrelated to what I wrote above, is, when using Prat with addons such as MRP (MyRolePlay) or FlagRSP2, we have the option to add last names to our characters. So my toon, Ahnji, could be Ahnji Misanagi. Without Prat loaded, and with any other chat addon I've tried, both the first and last names appear when typing in /say or in emotes. However, with Prat, the last name only appears in emotes. It seems something in Prat is blocking the custom last names when using /say. As I mentioned, this works fine with other chat window addons I've tried so I am reasonably sure its not an MRP or FlagRSP issue. Any thoughts what this could be? And if it can be fixed as well?

Posted Mar 23, 2015Prat is up to date and disabling Prat immedaitely returns twitter icon functionality, I tried it on an alt with Prat as my only addon and the button doesn't work while Prat is enabled and works fine when that only addon is disabled.

Is it possible to block sentences in trade chat? For example, these spamming gold sellers are using marks (circle, skull, cross, triangle etc) in their advertisements and I would like to block every sentence that has those in it. Like (CIRCLE) cheapest gold on thiswebsite.com(CIRCLE)
