Upgrade for version 5.4 :D
A question before I install this, does this play nice with LFD/LFR?
This only deals with direct party invitations from other players (with the exception of friends and guildmates). The Dungeon Finder is not affected in any way, and the Raid Finder should work fine as well (not had enough gear to test ).
I think I missed the details but how do I turn off the auto response and leave it at simply auto-blocking? It seems to interact poorly with some addons. This occurs with addons that look at who you whisper.
I use other anti social addons as well and the auto-tell from Inviteblock seems to count as if I actually whispered them myself. If I can remove that auto-tell from Inviteblock I can probably avoid spam from people as a result.
Thanks in Advance :)
Sorry in the delay in getting back to you.
You can turn off the replies with (really, toggles on and off):
/inviteblock reply
And as far as it goes, it is as if you did whisper them, so not suprised that it is tracked as such by other mods.
Ahh thanks! No worries on the delayas I'm pretty patient. I think I had tried that command before. Must have typed it wrong then :P
Cheers
I was going to create an addon that would parse my incoming whispers to create a per-session array of people that have messaged me and block all invites not from people within this list (in the past x minutes, say 15 or so). People from my guild or my friends list would also be exempt from blocking.
The addon you have created here almost does that already. Just need to add the list of whisperers and the code for checking to see if they have whispered you in the past x minutes.
Do you think you could add that code?
i think we need to fix it re zip it and repost it
I've changed the name to be a little "nicer" (InviteBlock), and it looks like it has a proper zip file now.
