Lately I have been receiving many e-mails from users asking me to update this mod. And now, I'm happy to say that an updated version is in development. Please post comments with any suggestions or requests you may have.
I am trying to use you addon on a french version of the game.
Here is the error message I get on the load: Interface/AddOns/SacredBuff/SacredBuff.lua: 58: Babble-Spells-2.2: Translation "Pain Suppression" does not exist.
I have tried to enter the correct the french string associated in the Babble-Spells-2.2.lua file (replacing true by "Suppression de la douleur") but is does not work.
First, v2.2.01 will fix the library error. If you modified any of the files in an attempt to fix it yourself, please delete your current directory prior to extracting the new one (just to be sure that your modifications don't stay there). By the way, no code needed to be changed in order to fix this error, it was a simple issue of a directory missing. In the past few days since the patch, there have been many cases of libraries missing from Ace2 mods that utilize the WoWAce SVN server to manage their libraries, so this mod wasn't the only one affected.
If there was a "Libs\Babble\Babble-spell-2.2\Babble-spell-2.2.lua" in your "Libs" directory, then you must've put it there, because it wasn't in the 2.2 zip I just downloaded off of this site. In fact, that should've just caused the same error.
@Despraci: This mod uses the PeriodicTable Ace2 library to recognize mounts in players bags. PeriodicTable is a database of categorized item IDs that make it easier and more efficient for me to iterate through your bags and gather information about all the mounts you have. The mounts recognized by SacredBuff rely on whether or not PeriodicTable has been updated with that mounts item ID. The background is transparent when the frame is locked ("/sacredbuff lock"). I'm going to assume that you didn't try SacredBuff 2 pre-2.0, because before the 2.0 patch hit, most of your suggestions were already implemented and working fine (specifically tooltips). Thanks for the suggestions though.
@PlaguedSoul I don't foresee anything like that being implemented in the future. Sorry :(
Mine works fine, but this is the only addon I use that utilizes the ace libraries. After changing the path in the toc file to the library included in the zip it works fine. Some mine bugs, but other then that, working as intended.
If you other addons that use ace libraries more then likely you could get a conflict.
The author does have a libary in the package, but it doesn't point to that folder. I will be working with him tonight to correct this problem and forward the information on to him so he can update the code.
The next time BG's crash and I get stuck inside I should have ample time to get a fix done.
I have the same problem. I see in the next post that you added !!lib folder.... where did you get that folder and what folder are you talking about ? (might sound noobish I know)
Fixed the error on loading by adding your !!lib folder that wasn't included.
FrostWold Howler is suppoted which is nice.
The background of the interface isn't transpart like the origanal one.. minor change you could do.
Adding Tooltip to the buff icons be nice as well as adding registering right click and left click for party and indivual buffs. It would free up some more toolbar space. Just some friendly suggestions that I will probably add myself.
Other then that.. I used the origanal for a while and happy to have it back.
I have got this to work. i had to download the babble.lib and place it in the SacredBuff/lis folder. I think had to modify the .loc file to reflect the right directory for the library
It was the same thing with prayer of fortitude by the way. Checked on my bank alt, who happens to be a priest too, and due to natural causes don't have that yet either.
Very nice mod btw, thanks for your effort on this!
And btw again, as for a suggestion for later when the patch is done with and all, maybe make a gui options window?
@Lokhy: Yeah, cooldowns is something I intend to add.
@bwirum: The connection times out when I try to access that image you linked, but I think I know what the error is so I'll look into it for you. In regards to using SacredBuff before you hit level 60, I'll see what I can do. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Just to give you guys an update as to what's going on, I'm still focusing on a beta for the upcoming patch. In fact, don't expect another major release until patch day or shortly thereafter.
I am considering replacing some of SacredBuff's current textures with new textures, but alas, my experience and skill with Photoshop and texture making severely lacks. If anyone has experience making textures and would be willing to help out, please PM me. Thank you.

Any idea?
Hmm.. lots of comments.. where should I begin?

I cant even get anything to show up on my screen. I hit /sb and /sacredbuff and nothing happens. I'm sad! Help!

That might be it..... I'll have to check that tomorrow.

Don't try to get http://svn.wowace.com/wowace/trunk/Babble-2.2/Babble-Spell-2.2/Babble-Spell-2.2.lua and put it in the position pointed to by the SacredBuff.lua. It does not work because of a NIL value while performing an operation on MINOR_VERSION.
So hopefully there will be a fix soon.
hmmm. Thanks for the update but it still doesn't work for me :( and I still get the same error message.....
Fix for libary error... fairly simple.
Open up the TOC file in Wordpad
Find Locales\Babble-spell-2.2\Babble-spell-2.2.lua
replace with
Libs\Babble\Babble-spell-2.2\Babble-spell-2.2.lua
reload and enjoy
Tooltips still are not working. Other then that it's functioning.

could you make a warning when Surge of light procs like shadowfall warning in necrosis?
Yup I have the same question, how to fix sacredbuff's babble lib problem or even better author post a revisited version :)
Inferface\Addons\SacredBuff\SacredBuff.lua
Spell-2.2.

Actually... didn't take notice that left clicking stone changed the buff type at first. Nice fearture.
Error on loading...
Inferface\Addons\SacredBuff\SacredBuff.lua
Spell-2.2.
Also.. did you add support for FrostWolf Howler or do we need to edit that in?
PvP mount might be something you might want to added in as well.
I have got this to work. i had to download the babble.lib and place it in the SacredBuff/lis folder. I think had to modify the .loc file to reflect the right directory for the library
I can't solve the library problem :0(
