Provides the lazy crafter a simpler means of selling crafts
i tried beta 5 and the silent mode thing is still happening for me. It will show the help macro but not the welcome macro. and i can see about half of the search results. the sender still sees it all, but i am seeing parts of the search too. thought you might wanna know. not sure if it's something i am doing or if it's something in the mod itself. i have Player, faction, silent, and refine reagents checked on the options menu.
@Dishonored, as for the silent mode it should filter out incoming and outgoing whispers (as of 1.0.9 beta 4). However, I will check it out and revert if I can replicate the bug.
Dishonored: In answer to your questions 1 and 2, they mean exactly what is explained in the addon notes above. a: If you set it to Player, people can only see what your currently logged-in character can craft. b: if it's Realm, they can see what all your characters on that realm (or "server" if you prefer) can craft, and if you have Faction set to "off" AND it's a PvE realm they can see what ALL of your characters can make, not just the ones from the faction you're logged in as. (Faction = Alliance or Horde) c: If it's XRealm, then they can see what all your characters on this and other realms can make, and again if you have Faction set Off they can check both Horde and Alliance characters.
If Faction is set to On, searches will only return recipes known by characters of the same faction as the one currently logged in.
It's really not that complicated; I've never used this mod, I've just read what's written in the description above.
1: What are the search modes? more to the point what do they mean? 2: What is the Faction option for? 3: Why is it when i choose the silent option i can still see some of the replies in my chat log? Not all of it. Like a search will give the sender 17 search results and i still get 8 showing up in my chat log. Did i do something wrong? How can i get it so i can't see the search results/replies?
@CurtisTheGreat, it should work for jewelcrafters as they are using the same api. /cb s playername item name should work. Perhaps you can email me the details and your craftbot.lua file in your savedvariables to my email that's in the toc?
No matter what it is I am trying to send, I try a /cb send PlayerName Item doesn't work. It tells me it fails. No matter the player name or the item I try and send.
Hmm this mod just keep gettign better and better..... seams though that you can only search the "white" text of the items.. so you can search for leve, stanima, interlect etc etc....
You can not search the green "equip" words and it dosn't look like you can search the red, yellow, blue, meta text for jewl crafting.
anything that is in the item's description can be searched e.g.
cbsearch Level 40
can ya send me your jeweller's craftbot.lua in your savedvariables folder? You'll need to update to 1.0.6 and perform a reset of your character's stored data using the '/cb reset' slash command. Then reopen the jewelcrafting window to scan.
This is so that I can see what is captured for the new professions and what will be good and neccessary features to add.
cbsearch only searches and returns item you can make, functions similarly to /cb send slash command.
there is no /cb sendr equivalent for whisper command .... yet.
Sample Conversation: [someone]: cbhelp [cb]: Welcome to cb's shoppe! [cb]: Whisper me "cbsearch" followed by a part of the craft's name/desc/category (stew, felcloth, iron, consumable) to browse e.g. "cbsearch felcloth" [someone]: cbsearch [Mooncloth] [cb]: [1.2.3] [Mooncloth] [cb]: Whisper me "cbreagents <number>" e.g. "cbreagents 1.2.3"! [someone]: cbreagents 1.2.3 [cb]: Reagents for [Mooncloth]: [cb]: 2 x [Felcloth] [someone]: cbsearch bag [cb]: [1.2.110] [Mooncloth Bag] [cb]: [1.2.111] [Runecloth Bag] [cb]: [1.2.112] [Mageweave Bag] [cb]: Whisper me "cbreagents <number>" e.g. "cbreagents 1.2.3"! [someone]: WoW Amazing mod you have there!
Yeah. It seems the cbsearch function only works for actual crafted items names, rather than the reagents used.. This works for a majority of what I need it to, since the reagent name is typically in most of the final product names for jewelcrafting, but the other way around would be a pretty sexy feature too. :-P
Amazing that you have incorperated whispers.. but i seam t obe a bit thick headed and can not figure out how to use it....
What do you mean by "cbreagents 1.2.3"
Can you give us a few examples of the exact syntax?
Also the cbsearch function is wierd...
I can use it to search items say /t toonname cbsearch bag (so i can ind all the bags I can make) But I can not get teh same function as the sendr command the other way.. so I can not say "/t tooname primal water" I have also tried links "/t toonname cbsearch [Primal Water]"
@all, this is a whisper based system, but i've also added slash commands so that not so bright people can be easily assisted by you. Send yourself a whisper with just 'cbhelp' without the quotation marks to see how it works.
Whisper commands: cbhelp - send some help message on whisper system and commands syntax cbsearch [item link] or keywords - searches stuff you can make .e.g cbsearch [mooncloth], cbsearch mooncloth cbreagents [1.2.3] - returns list of materials need to make an item, see previous comment by me for explanation.
also in v1.0.5u1 I've include shorts, for lazy developer, of the following commands /cb send = /cb s /cb sendr = /cb sr /cb faction = /cb f /cb limit = /cb l
@RealUnimportant, Thank you.

Ok, i need a few things explained.

!cbsearch axe, one-hand
Any option to search eg. one-hand axes? U can search axe or one-hand but not "axe one-hand" :S
u3 now with fixed titan support, fixed cross cbreagents triggering between cb users, filtering of duplicates and bunch of other small improvisions.
enchanters should use enchantbot. craftbot doesnt handle enchanting atm. http://www-en.curse-gaming.com/files/details/5732/enchantbot-revived/
The enchanters in my guild are havening problems with this mod.. apparently it is only working on tailoring... any ideas?
@CurtisTheGreat, it should work for jewelcrafters as they are using the same api. /cb s playername item name should work. Perhaps you can email me the details and your craftbot.lua file in your savedvariables to my email that's in the toc?
Does this not work for jewelcrafting yet?

My email is in the TOC.
Sugestion
Silent mod... so all whispers are filted out of the chat window (again ekwaitlist has the code for this as it can do it)
Sugestion Search by levelk (for armour makers) so peopel can serach you list via whispers for items ther level
When you are adding the sednr function to the whisper mabey you can look int ofor gem making a way to list all items that fit a red socket for example
cbsearch only searches and returns item you can make, functions similarly to /cb send slash command.
there is no /cb sendr equivalent for whisper command .... yet.

u1 fixes a few stupid but serious bugs in v1.0.5 :)
@rizarjay, please see example below for explanation for the numbers.
[1.2.3] [item]
1 = character index 2 = skill index e.g. leatherworking, blacksmithing etc 3 = item index e.g. mooncloth bag, runecloth bag etc
USE: people can send you a whisper with the following to get a list of materials needed to make [item]:
cbreagents 1.2.3
RETURNS: reagent list for [item]: 1 x [mat1] 2 x [mat2] 3 x [matN]
