Taggle
This addon filters out messages received in whisper when detected as spam.
On a fresh install, the trusted list is empty, then filled with people in the friendlist and in your guild. When a whisper is received, suspected of spam and not in the trusted list, it is hidden and the sender receives: "This message has been detected as spam. You have to answer to this message using the password to become trusted. The password is: " followed by the password you set.
The addon only blocks what it thinks is spam, regular whispers are just shown as usual. When he does, he's added in the trusted list and won't see that filter ever again. The point is that goldsellers create lvl 1, spam everyone with an add and delete that char and thus impossible to blacklist them.
There are several built-in filters but you can add your own.

Posted May 15, 2007I seriously don't know why some of you have problems with other ace2 addons, maybe try to update them, or even install ace2 libraries as standalones from http://files.wowace.com/Ace2/Ace2.zip (install that like any other addon) Let me know how that works for you, thanks

Posted Apr 27, 2007This mod messing up SCT for anyone else other than me? I downloaded this mod yesterday and suddenly SCT didnt work. It was loaded, i could use the option, but it just didnt show anything. So i downloaded the latest SCT and it worked, until i loaded my old profile.

- filters are now case insensitive
- use regex to write your custom filters (check http://lua-users.org/wiki/PatternsTutorial) (beware that the dot "." means 'any character', if you want an actual dot, use [.])

Posted Apr 21, 2007i noticed this addon isn't compatable with decursive. specificlly the little mini decursive boxes no longer render when this add on is active. using version Taggle-r33108.
great addon though if this could get fixed. one thing about the level filter, i don't know if add ons bypass the time limit for character /who -- this maybe something blizz has to impliment for this feature to be awsome.

Posted Apr 20, 2007maybe you regardless can add the level filter (just a simple one with a hardcoded level1). so the user can decide if he want to use the filter and risk to slow down the other requests. as long as you can simple turn this option on and off (default off), and you describe the fact of the cd in the addon description, nobody should be unhappy with this option.

Posted Apr 20, 2007I really wanted to try this, but for some reason it isn't compatible with http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/4542/venantes/ . It's somehow blocking information that Venantes uses. No information is showing up in the center circle and the smalled spheres around it, is missing portraits and I get the red question marks instead.
Think there's someway to fix it?

Posted Apr 20, 2007rhazar: The only way to know the level of someone is to use the /who mechanism, which is on a cooldown, and may slow down other requests. I chose not to do that and stick to a control question to unblock non-spammers.

Posted Apr 16, 2007How exactly does this addon differentiate between a level 1 Gold Sellers spam, and say some level 70 whispering you to buy an item or something?
How about instead of a special password, (how would the people get the password if they can't whisper you?), how about just a control question, or a generic "Type in the following letters to unblock yourself" to get through? I know some mass-spamming gold seller wouldn't go through the trouble to pass a simple test like that just to get through to you, if they did understand it.
Love this idea, I just want to make sure I'm not blocking everyone not in my friends list when I install it.
