Past Versions
Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.
FAQ
- Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo". - Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved. - Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4. - Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
- Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.
Other Info
User input is very important, so please post here anything related to the mod's functionality with as much detail as possible. Please only post Cryolysis 2 errors, as the original Cryolysis will no longer be getting updated Thanks.

Don't know if it is a problem with Cryolysis2, but the Error Message is about the Cryolysis Addon ;)
Maybe you can tell me what is wrong.
Thanks.
first off, love that mages get a sphere-bar thing [woot] but i was kind of hoping maybe you could implement the XP bar into the main sphere , then it would be 100% sweet.
When sheep breaks I get the sound a big error message. In Zul'aman with chain sheeping the flame casters, I get spam errored and it's horrible. Then 2 minutes later it'll go "Player broke my sheep!"
you know what annoys me that under description it doesn't say one thing about what this addon is for.
Not sure if anyone is interested or not, but here's the changelog for Cryo3 if you guys wanna see how we're progressing.

Some more information regarding the website:
The site will actually just be a set of forums. It'll be the central place for all things Cryolysis 2 and Cryolysis 3. Cryolysis 1 will not be supported in any way once this site launches. I will most likely remove it from WoWAce's SVN server (and WAU) too.
This site may also end up being the central place for other addons that myself and/or Belazor decide to make.
A couple more notes about Cryo3:
Just because a feature isn't going to be built into the mod, doesn't mean it won't be available through an external module. The whole point of choosing what is going to come with the mod by default is to give us a design goal of basic feature requirements. After that, the sky is the horizon. Belazor has mentioned he's going to be making a witty/silly messages module, and he's been considering a FD + remove gear module for hunters. We will be developing a module API of functions that other developers can use to create modules.
-Jim-
Booo :(
Is there a way to get the Spell Timer bar to not pop back to the center of my screen every time I log in or reload my UI? The "lock bar" feature won't do it and it's driving me bonkers. :(
Sadly, my favorite feature about cryolysis was the witty messages for sheeping and portals :( This will be the end of this mods usefullness for me since Autobar takes care of all the buttons and then some. Thank you for a great addon though and gl with Cryo3.
Who's to say somebody doesn't make a module for witty messages? I know I will be making one :)
I should probably clarify that just because Cryo3 won't have one of it's old features by default doesn't mean it won't be available. It comes down to deciding what should be the core of the mod and what should be extra. I personally don't use the messages, however Belazor (also a main author on this project) does, so I assume he'll be making an external module for them. The point of seperating core features from extras is to allow us to focus on the functionality of the mod.
On a seperate note: Autobar is very memory and CPU intensive, it's a good addon in that it's very flexible, but when I was running it, it was eating about 5-6mb of memory.
-Jim-
Well thats a relief, I was a bit disappointed till you posted the clarification :)
Well, I have soem good news and some bad news...
The bad news is that Cryolysis2 won't be getting updated much anymore. We'll be trying to fix any major bugs, but we make no guarrantees.
The good news is that development on Cryolysis3 has begun. It's going to be somewhat of a change from Cryo2. For starters, it's going to work for all classes! It's going to be modular, so that only the features you want are going to be loaded. This also means that only the features for your class will be loaded as well. What does this mean to you? It means less memory and CPU usage. It also means that anyone who knows some programming, or is willing to learn will be able to create their own modules for Cryo3. As of right now, there's nothing remotely stable or complete enough to be released. Our goal is to start with the mage class first, and then move on to the other classes. No, we don't have an order we're going to follow yet.
We will be releasing an independent website for reporting bugs and asking for new features. I'll be announcing the URL later once the site is up and running.
We will still be using the WoWAce Ace3 framework, and once we're out of the alpha stages and into the beta, you'll be able to find Cryo3 on the WoW Ace Updater as well as at files.wowace.com.
With the decision to make Cryo3 came several major design decisions:
Cryo3 WILL NOT have spell timers built-in, as we feel that there are more than enough other mods out there that can provide the same, if not better functionality.
Cryo3 WILL NOT have random messages, though someone can attempt to code a module that provides them if they wish.
Cryo3 WILL have simple messages such as "Casting Polymorph on targer" and "Now casting Ritual of Refreshment, please click the portal for food and water."
Cryo3 WILL have crowd control audio alerts, but WILL NOT have any sort of timer associated with crowd control.
Cryo3 WILL be a better addon. :)
The decision to re-code was brought about by several factors:
1. The release of the Ace3 framework
2. New API functions available due to patch 2.4
3. Belazor and myself are now more experienced with lua, and the mod should run less buggy overall with a full re-code
4. The constant demand for us to port the mod for another class
5. ???
6. Profit!
Feel free to post questions, comments, and concerns here for now until we get the website up and running.
-Jim-
I forgot to mention it's going to have multiple skins too. :)
-Jim-
again....drool!
i can't wait to stick my fingers on it :)
All that text in the description and no mention of what the addon does, or why anyone should feel motivated to try it.
I just downloaded this mod and it seems helpful from the posts on wowforum and here. I would like to suggest that you put a small summary in the info section highlighting what exactly this mod does so people like me, new to the mod and mages in general, can learn about the mod and its functions with having to do some research. It might seem lazy, so what? Wanna fight about it??!
Cryolysis2 r71354--the most recent revision downloaded straight from the Wowace SVN (you really need to make an official Cryolysis2 thread on the forums there ;)), updated standalone libraries, USEng client/server, WoW 2.4.1 live.
The last Ace2 version (r70408) worked without issues here on my below-level-40 mage alt (other than regular tainting, which I hope will be fixed). I installed the most recent version (r71354); several earlier recent revisions (including r70983 immediately prior to the most recent) were so buggy they didn't load or work at all.
Soon after logon the following error appeared. This error also appeared regularly with earlier recent revisions (errors recorded with the BugSack/BugGrabber mod):
"AceLocale-3.0: Cryolysis2: Missing entry for 'Cryolysis':\nCryolysis2-2.0 Beta\\Cryolysis2.lua:59: in function <Interface\\AddOns\\Cryolysis2\\Cryolysis2.lua:54>\n<in C code>: in function `Show'\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIParent.lua:1317: in function `SetUIPanel':\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIParent.lua:1133: in function `ShowUIPanel':\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIParent.lua:1068: in function <Interface\\FrameXML\\UIParent.lua:1064>:\n<in C code>: in function `SetAttribute'\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIParent.lua:1627: in function `ShowUIPanel':\n<string>:\"*:OnClick\":2: in function <[string \"*:OnClick\"]:1>"
A minute later, go into the Blizzard Interface, Cryolysis2 section. Click the "Timer" header on the left side of the Interface frame and the following error was thrown up. The right side of the frame was blank where you would instead expect options to appear. All the other headers displayed their options properly:
"AceConfigDialog-3.0\\AceConfigDialog-3.0.lua:1503: Cryolysis-TimerSettings isn't registed with AceConfigRegistry, unable to open config\nAceConfigDialog-3.0\\AceConfigDialog-3.0.lua:1450: in function `Open'\nAceConfigDialog-3.0\\AceConfigDialog-3.0.lua:1503: in function <...nfig-3.0\\AceConfigDialog-3.0\\AceConfigDialog-3.0.lua:1502>\n(tail call): ?:\n<in C code>: ?\n<string>:\"safecall Dispatcher[2]\":9: in function <[string \"safecall Dispatcher[2]\"]:5>\n(tail call): ?:\nAceGUI-3.0\\AceGUI-3.0.lua:217: in function `Fire'\n...AceGUI-3.0\\widgets\\AceGUIWidget-BlizOptionsGroup.lua:67: in function <...AceGUI-3.0\\widgets\\AceGUIWidget-BlizOptionsGroup.lua:66>:\n<in C code>: in function `Show'\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIOptionsFrame.lua:465: in function `InterfaceOptionsList_DisplayFrame':\nInterface\\FrameXML\\UIOptionsFrame.lua:451: in function `InterfaceOptionsListButton_OnClick':\n<string>:\"*:OnClick\":1: in function <[string \"*:OnClick\"]:1"
Back to r70408 here until the major bugs are out of the new versions; hope they will be :).

quick question
On my left custom buton I have placed Ice Barrier as a spell, is there any way to have the cd for it show on the button?
Also is there a way to place Item counts on items that you would place in the custom buttons, like if you place healing potions in one, even if it just in the tooltip?
Thanks,
This is looking better and better :)
And thanks for the update on the WAU Paene. LOL, still haven't learned my lesson, though I won't bitch anymore, I'll just let ya know what I see, just incase you missed it :)
