Quartz
Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. An overview of (hopefully most of) the modules:
*Player
The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, and colors.
*Target/Focus
Implementation of target and focus casting bars in similar fashion to the player cast bar.
*Buffs
Display of target and focus buffs and debuffs as duration bars.
*Flight
Hooks into FlightMap or InFlight to display the current flight progress on your casting bar.
*Global Cooldown
Displays a tiny spark-bar to show your Global Cooldown near the cast bar. Helpful for those who'd rather not squint at their action bars to see when they can cast again.
*Interrupt
Changes the color and text of your casting bar to help show that your cast has been interrupted (and show who interrupted it).
*Latency
Displays the amount of time spent between cast send and start events, in the form of a bar at the end of your casting bar, with optional text that displays the actual duration of the lag. This helps in canceling casts when they will not actually be interrupted, especially for users with consistently high pings.
*Mirror
Shows the 'basic' timers such as breath and feign death, as well as some 'odd' ones such as party invite time, resurrect timeout, and arena game start, and a framework for injecting custom timers into the bars.
*Range
Recolors the casting bar when your cast target moves out of range mid-cast.
*Swing
Displays a swing timer for your melee weapon as well as hunter autoshot.
*Timer
Allows for creating custom timers displayed on the mirror bars.
*Tradeskill Merge
Merges multiple casts of the same tradeskill item into one big cast bar.
Use /quartz to bring up the configuration menu.
I have a bug with the latency bar that's been happening ever since the patch dropped. Every few casts the latency bar seems to break out' of the cast bar and go off the screen. When this happens it says 0ms. The next few casts everything will be normal and then it happens again. Is anyone else having this? The in-game latency always shows me stable at around 38ms so I don't think its my connection screwing up.
Is there anyway to get quartz to show buffs/debuffs on for the player?
for those who what it download file from http://www.wowace.com/addons/quartz/tickets/17-channeling-pushback-compensation/ and patch this addon.
Is there ayway to get quartz to show cast bars for arena1, arena2, arena3?
i am wondering how to disable the blizzard default cast bars for my target and focus. i cant find anything suggesting turning it off for those.
Hey, could someone please tell me is it possible with this addon to see when you should start your cast to clip your spells at the proper time? something that calculates tha cast time of your spells?
what is protection from dividing by 0?
Update for 4.3 pls?
I am getting repeated errors with the swing timer for this addon. Is there a fix on the way possibly?
Is this addon Ever gonna get channelling spells correctly ?
Is there any way to seperate the player castbar from the debuffs you put on your target?
For example on my warrior.
I want to have the castbar above my playerframe.
But i want the debuff counters like sunder armor etc.. below the target fram.
I don't see anyway to do this, and i dont get why these would be lined.
Yes there is.
When you go into Quartz configuration, go to the "Buff" section (Yes, odd name for debuffs) and go to the "Target" tab, once there there'll be a select box titled "Anchor Frame". A choice on that select box is "Free". If you choose that you can unlock it and drag it around, or alternatively use the X and Y sliders to move it.
When I'm going to cast a spell the lag keep changing on the castbar. Like first it's 100ms, then 60ms, then 400ms etc... But when I hold over the computer button it says that my lag is around 70ms (home) and around 160(World). So is that a bug with quartc or?
There is some latency in the game aswell, plus the network. Quartz figure out the response time from the last cast (i think) and give you a more precise ms and you can by a high chance cast the next spell when hitting the red area.
Thanks
