QuestHubber
Now updated for Mists of Pandaria
QuestHubber is an addon that was designed to show pinpoints on the world map of all the quests you've missed. Between data personally collected by myself, data submitted from other users, and data that I obtained from Wowhead via a crawler script, there are over 7,000 quests for Alliance and Horde from every zone and continent in game currently—including the new Cataclysm zones. Because much of the data from the old zones is very new and Wowhead does not seem to be 100% correct, you may notice some incorrect positioning, missing quests, or quests from the opposite faction, but in my experience these problems are not intrusive at all.
Type /qh, /qhub, or /questhubber to access the options.
Features
- Only shows quests you have yet to complete
- Quick toggling of pins via world map
- Optional filtering quests out of level range
- Optional tracking of daily quests
- Optional hiding optional quests you skipped and future quests you cannot access yet (very experimental!)
Note: If you used an older version of QuestHubber, you may also have the addon QuestGather in your AddOns folder. This was an optional addon that was bundled along to help collect data, but it is no longer necessary. Feel free to delete the QuestGather folder.
I had simmilar issue to this, because I had a previous character I deleted of the same name. I tried eveeything I could think of to fix the problem, but in the end I had to delete the cache, WTF and Interface folders and reinstall the mods :/
QuestHubber doesn't store any data about the characters except which filter settings you choose. Every time you log in, it asks the server for the list of quests you completed. I cannot tell if it is just the server being unreliable or if WoW saves that information without notifying you. Sorry you had trouble.
Stumbled upon this on accident, coincidentally cursing all day about not knowing where quests are so I can start doing rep grinds. This is perfection, thank you.
The absolute best addon if you're stuck on a chain and you can't remember where you left off. Awesome work, thank you :)
How can I get questhubber to work with Wow 5.2?
You can either load out of date addons or download the update I just released (v13).
The "problem" i have is, that the Questhubber itself was updated to v13, but not the zone files, they still are out of date, even if i reinstall the addon, although i can load them with checking "Load out of date addons"...
great addon! thanks!
Augh. I do this every time. Thanks for the report. v14 with a fix soon.
thanks for the quick fix! :)
Ive been using this addon for a while and it is really nice. But i noticed that on my main toon, i still see quests that my other toons havnt completed. Is there a way to set it to per toon online. Or have this corrected. Thanks
What you are requesting is default behavior. Every time you enter world on a character, the addon asks the server for the list of quests that the character has completed and hides those pins. If you are seeing pins you shouldn't be, it means the addon is not communicating with the server for some reason.
ok. is there a fix for that?
Awesome little addon!
i am in silthius, and there seem to be no quests
i am a level 57 paladin. and i have only 3 done so far
is this me or does your silthius need updating?
Haven't seen it mentioned so thought I would share. I was having issues with the map(trying to open the map momentarily showed the instance map before jumping to the zoomed out world map) while running Tempest Keep, logged out and disabled Questhubber and voila the map worked again.
After accepting the Battle Pets quest, I noticed that a load of old quests from the starter zone (Human) have come back as "uncompleted" pins on the world map. Is there a way I can unpin them (or mark them as completed) individually?
This fixed itself apparently, but now I have a new problem. I started a new character from the same zone as a previous one, and it's not showing the quests the older character has completed. For some reason, it's seeing them as shared I think. Any way to fix this? Like a "per character" setting?
Lately I have been playing WOW again (Had stoppeed when MOP first released) And got a new computer (With Windows 8) Now I can not get Quest Hubber to work nothing shows up and when I type in the commands they say type /help for a listing of commands. I have tried adding and removing this quite a few times. Where I can not get your addon or Quest Helper to work I have gotten others to like Deadly Boss Mod, TomTom, and Skada. I hope we will be able to resolve this.
What I do exactally.
1. Download the files
2. Extract to my desktop
3. drag to the /Interface/Addons File Location
4. Start Game.
The latest version should be working for patch 5.1, but click the addons button at the character select screen to make sure it is on the list. You may need to load out of date addons if you don't have the most recent version.
Thanks!
