RaidChecklist
RaidChecklist
RaidChecklist provides an at-a-glance overview of which core buffs, debuffs, dispels and crowd control abilities are available in the raid at the moment, and what class/spec/pet could bring each.
It doesn't try to be a full-featured raid planner, but is instead targeted at those who want a more casual add-on which can assist them in putting together a balanced raid on the fly. It is also very useful for hunters wanting to pick a pet to fill a void in the abilities otherwise brought by the group.
RaidChecklist comes with a plethora of different checklists, and has checklists for each and every class, with multiple options on what to include. Check out the configuration screen for the full list!
There's also a built-in F.A.Q. page available from the add-on settings menu, hopefully answering the common questions and explaining the different colors and icons.
News
6.1.2.0
- Spirit Beast entry updated to also provide Crit.
6.0.3.3 - 6.0.3.4
- Minor ability/talent correction.
6.0.3.2
- Corrected a few abilities/talents.
- Now treating the Hunter 'Lone Wolf' talent separately. This talent provides a choice of all the main buffs, but RaidChecklist has no way knowing which buff (if any) has been chosen. To deal with this dilemma, if you're playing a hunter and have 'Lone Wolf' talented, the potential buffs will show in blue ("may provide") rather than green ("provides"). For hunter group members, by default RCL filters out the 'Lone Wolf' talent altogether to avoid claiming that all the buffs are provided. This latter behavior can be changed with the config option 'Exclude Lone Wolf', if you prefer to use the old behavior. The only way to resolve this fully would be to make RaidChecklist scan for buffs, which is far too large a project for me to undertake given I haven't played WoW since early Cataclysm.
6.0.3.1
- Minor database updates.
6.0.0.1
- Warlords of Draenor / 6.0.2 update. This includes a number of changes to handle the internal game changes made by Blizzard, and a metric truck-ton of database updates.
- Some languages do not have full compatibility support yet. If you can help with translations, either do so directly at project localization page, or just drop me a message here on Curse and I'll fill it in.
- If I've missed any changes, please open a ticket to let me know.
- Note: the mage "Improved Flamestrike" perk is recorded in RaidCheclist as being level 100, though it can, depending on RNG, be available as early as level 92. I don't have a good way to address that, sorry.
Features
- Compact display in color-coded list format.
- Shows a count for each ability where it's provided by more than one player, giving even better overview with even a quick glance.
- Mouse-over an entry brings up tooltip with information on what classes/specs/pets can bring the (de)buff.
- Clicking an entry opens a detailed information panel on the abilities for that entry.
- Ability to specify which groups to include in the check, while still seeing what the excluded groups could bring.
- Hides behind a freely movable button when not wanted.
- DataBroker integration, and an option to hide the normal button.
- Keybinding and chat commands (/rcl or /raidchecklist) to toggle the checklist.
- Updates automatically as pets are summoned or dismissed.
- Inspects group members "in the background" to obtain their talent information without needing any player interaction.
- Option to specify in which direction the list appears relative to the button. E.g. "Up, Left" or "Down, Right".
- Since it's not possible to automatically keep talents/spec/glyphs up-to-date sensibly, RaidChecklist has a small "rescan" button in the top right corner of the checklist.
- Notifies other RaidChecklist users of any player specialization/talent/glyph changes. This is done in the LibGroupInSpecT library, which is available for other addons to use as well. While Blizzard provides no way of detecting these changes on other players, any user of an addon with LibGroupInSpecT will have this feature! For other players, there is always the manual "rescan" button.
Class-specific Features
- Per-class check-lists are available, showing only the abilities of that class. Use either for personal improvement, or as the raid leader to remind yourself of what abilities a particular class would bring.
- Hunter & Warlock Pet Mode. For the hunters and warlocks who don't have to worry about full raid composition and only want to make a smart pet choice. Only shows the abilities which can be provided by a pet.
- Also aware of a hunter's callable pets, not just the summoned one. Abilities available only from a callable pet are marked in blue. This is only applicable to the hunter himself/herself - this information is not shared to other users of RaidChecklist. To activate this feature you need to visit a stable master once.
Supported Locales
- enUS - Fully supported.
- ruRU - Fully supported.
- koKR - Fully supported.
- deDE - Functional.
- frFR - Functional.
- esES - Functional.
If you can help with translations, head over to the project localization page.
Known issues
- Talent/spec information can go stale, as the game provides no notification when a group member re/un/talents. Use the "rescan" button to force a refresh.
Found a bug?
If you've found a bug that isn't listed here as a known issue, please open a ticket with the details. The notifications for comments on Curse aren't as reliable as a ticket, so I might not see it for some time (if all).
Ah, they finally fixed that. Grab RCL 5.1.0.2 for an energizing new experience! Thanks for the report!
I like this addon a lot, because it helps me see who can buff what, with spell links (I love those spell links :)
however, it doesn't tell me who actually has buffed what. Is there a way to quickly see that, for example, a warrior could give the missing Stamina buff to the raid, but hasn't done so (meaning that nobody has the Stamina buff even though it's available) ?
I know that this kind of request sounds odd, now that Blizzard has made that "new" buff grouping thing that's supposed to show whether all 8 buffs are present. but I find that quirky and I don't like it, and I'd rather have this feature inside of something like RaidCheckList :)
A decision I made early on with RCL was that it wouldn't try to do everything. Checking active buffs and who cast what is (at least technically) hugely different from putting together a balanced raid.
I haven't been playing for quite some time, but I'd suggest you have a look at e.g. RaidBuffStatus as a complement.
Works fine, thx great addon.
Any chance to have an option to link buffs or missing buffs in chan raid/instance ?
You can link individual abilities by opening the details panel and shift-clicking from there.
If that's not what you're after, feel free to explain the situation you're trying to address, and how you'd like RCL to address it. If I like it, I may act on it! ;-)
Oh, I dunno... Maybe try /raidchecklist? Or (and this is a far out idea, I admit), read the description to find out how the addon works? ;-)
Plz add Hunter (sporebat) for 5% spellhaste
It's included (don't know since when) but it won't show using the hunter pet view (that you most likey use as a hunter -- I do). However it's correctly listed and recognized when switching to raid leader view. Anyia could you please have a look what's going on here?
I leave you kids alone for a few months and you go and find a bug in my addon?! Sheesh! ;-)
Okay, the sporebat is included in the hunter-specific check lists in version 5.1.0.0. Thanks for pinging me about the missing sporebat, Noxxana. Yell if there are any changes required for 5.1 - I'm neither playing nor paying attention to WoW news these days.
Works great, thanks alot :)
Previously, when I had a pet out, it would only count that pet's ability. But now it's acting like I am covering all possible buffs in the raid, so I can't see which pet I need to bring out without visually going through all of them. Seems like the scan isn't working or something.
I can't reproduce this problem. If you're still having this issue, could I get you to raise a ticket and provide as much information as possible there? A screenshot might be useful too. Thanks.
Noticed a minor glitch in 5.0.5.1beta1 in the interrupt>30s category (might be in other similar places as well): There are some lines starting with "Bloodelf -class-" which inherit their color from the class on the line above. E.g. Bloodelf rogue, next line will be yellow Bloodelf warlock, next line will be purple Bloodelf DK, etc. That's no big deal, but it's strange.
It also lists Bloodelf druids and shamans, which is, as far I can tell, not going to happen. They however will be able to become monks with MoP. I'd suggest to clean up this category by replacing some parts with just "Bloodelf (racial)" or something like that.
Furthermore it might be clarifying to rename "deadly wounds" to "healing received" or something, since it covers all those -25% healing debuffs as far as I can see. But this is up to you.
I think they need to stay separated like that because each class DOES have a different version of Arcane Torrent, because otherwise the mana gain would be useless to classes that don't use mana. So each class has their own spell ID for it.
Goot point, actually. I just looked at it from the raid utility perspective (group silence). But yes, technically they're different spells to link.
I can't reproduce the color "bleed", but I've added some safeguards against it for next version. Let me know if that still doesn't fix it.
Congratulations in spotting what so far must be the longest-present bug in RaidChecklist. It's amazing nobody has complained about Blood Elf shamans and druids before! Will fix for next version, and also add the Monk version of Arcane Torrent.
For the buffs and debuffs I have (in the English translation, don't know about others) stuck with the official Blizzard buff names, and the mostly official Blizzard debuff names (as reported by blues when the change went in).
Working great for me, but I was wondering: would it be possible to have a category for non-BM hunters that does not include exotic-only auras (or even two -- a "full" one that includes them along with all the rest but doesn't list them as "hunter pet abilities" and one that just lists the non-BM pet abilities)? I'm SV/MM and when I'm looking through the list to see what buffs I'd like to be covering, I have to keep reminding myself which ones I just can't bring unless I respec.
I'll see if I can come up with something. Perhaps the Pet Abilities category should automatically exclude BM pets when the player isn't BM spec?
koKR localize update (with wow ace tool).
this addon is useful for me. thanks.
