This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Note: as of Jan 2021, Scorchio has been flagged as abandoned due to the original author not carrying over her account to the new Overwolf system. Overwolf refuses to undo this. It isn't possible to release new versions while it's flagged as abandoned - they never get packaged. The original author flagged the project as "All Rights Reserved", so I'm not sure whether Overwolf would allow me to create a new forked version, even if I wanted to. Ultimately, the best path for everyone is probably to move on from Scorchio and build what you need around something like WeakAuras or TellMeWhen. -ywfn666

Scorchio2 is an addon for Mages that tracks Living Bomb, Nether Tempest, Ignite, Slow, Flamestrike (Flame Patch and snare), and Polymorph on multiple mobs, and can give you warnings and notifications when the debuffs need reapplying, or have expired completely. Scorchio can also provide bars for personal buffs/procs/summons: Clearcasting, Heating Up, Hot Streak!, Brain Freeze, Fingers of Frost, Combustion, Icy Veins, Arcane Power, Rune of Power, and Mirror Image. Up to three anchors are available for use (targeted, non-targeted, and buffs), and the sort order for bars within each anchor is customizable.

Use /scorchio2, or Blizzard's Addons configuration window to configure Scorchio2.

Localization Help Needed!

Lots of work has gone into translation, but there's still some left to do. Localizations are easy to submit on the WowAce Localization Page, and help many users. Please help with this if you're able. And thanks to everyone who's helped so far!

I hadn't even considered this. As you say, it doesn't really affect anything, though it's messy, so I might see if I can hook into zoning events to pause the bars/timers. I don't know how accurate that can be though.

Small error regarding timers & loading -- Although it doesn't bother anything much, because I've only seen this occur when hearthing, or zoning (anything that gives the load screen), Scorchio! still counts down, even though various effects are paused. The "biggest" noticeable one is ice barrier, as I almost always have that up, but it effects all timers that I've noticed.

I will have a look at this, but it may be complicated. I myself don't have 4 pieces of T8, so can't actually see what happens in the combat log when this procs.

If, as I imagine from what people say, that *nothing* happens at all, then I'll need to check each and every time you cast a spell that *might* consume a proc whether a) the proc is still up, and b) it's hasn't just been proc'd from that cast. This may add a great deal of load when casting those spells.

Ideally, Blizzard will have an AURA_* line in the combat log. Blizzard are often less than ideal...

Hi ennuilg,

Thank you for your response to my previous point regarding MBarr proccing off ABarr.

Can I just ask whether it's possible to accommodate the Kirin Tor (Mage Tier 8) 4-piece bonus such that when Missile Barrage, Hot Streak, or Brain Freeze talent is not to be consumed when you cast the spells which benefit, i.e. the effect stays up, it counts as a reproc and the corresponding message and sound is triggered again?

I hope I make sense.

If someone could send me some combat logs where: a) the T8 bonus procs, and b) the buffs involved aren't consumed, it would help!

It seems to work fine how it is now. It wont reproc/reset the timer so you only get that 10 secs unless you reproc the 2 crits.

Yup, there's not actually a problem with it not tracking the debuff properly. I think some people would like the addon to actually tell you that the debuff wasn't consumed though, as we all tend to get into automatic behavior when DPSing and would generally assume that Hot Streak was consumed.

Of course, people could just notice the bar was still there, but some kind of notification might be possible too, at a later date.

The "shadowmastery" debuff you see thats from warlocks is actually from improved shadowbolt and not the talent shadowmastery, although it doesnt matter how oyu label it.

The sounds all come from LibSharedMedia-3.0. If you don't have any other addons which offer sounds via LSM, then you'll only see the one. I will be adding more sounds in the next version.

Couple of Suggestions & Oddities!

1) Bug?: Torment the Weak erroneously reports sometimes. I frequently solo and don't HAVE Torment the Weak - but it frequently pops up as being on the mob.
2) Not sure why, but occasionally Winter Chill's icon will show Scorch's, and Vice Versa.
3) Idea: Have an option to allow it to update only the target - While normally it doesn't matter, when doing a massive AoE of things like Blizzard, your entire screen can quickly spam up with Winter Chill effects.
4) Idea: Another option to allow it to only track YOUR timers, rather than the entire groups.
5) Bug?: If you die while your Elemental is out, it still counts down. While it's not a "Bug", it is an oddity.

1) TtW is a debuff on the mob, not a buff on you (though you need to be talented to take advantage of it). If you are an arcane mage who Slows the mob, Scorchio! 2 will register it is TtW vulnerable, even though you're not able to take advantage of that.

2) Please read further down the thread. A fix was posted and this has now been committed in v1.0.1

3), 4) Please read further down this thread. The next major release will have a method for only view your target's debuffs. Scorchio! 2 will always show you debuffs on your target, whether you cast them or not - really, that's the point of the addon!

5) As you say, an oddity. I'll code for that situation for the next release.
