This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Note: as of Jan 2021, Scorchio has been flagged as abandoned due to the original author not carrying over her account to the new Overwolf system. Overwolf refuses to undo this. It isn't possible to release new versions while it's flagged as abandoned - they never get packaged. The original author flagged the project as "All Rights Reserved", so I'm not sure whether Overwolf would allow me to create a new forked version, even if I wanted to. Ultimately, the best path for everyone is probably to move on from Scorchio and build what you need around something like WeakAuras or TellMeWhen. -ywfn666

Scorchio2 is an addon for Mages that tracks Living Bomb, Nether Tempest, Ignite, Slow, Flamestrike (Flame Patch and snare), and Polymorph on multiple mobs, and can give you warnings and notifications when the debuffs need reapplying, or have expired completely. Scorchio can also provide bars for personal buffs/procs/summons: Clearcasting, Heating Up, Hot Streak!, Brain Freeze, Fingers of Frost, Combustion, Icy Veins, Arcane Power, Rune of Power, and Mirror Image. Up to three anchors are available for use (targeted, non-targeted, and buffs), and the sort order for bars within each anchor is customizable.

Use /scorchio2, or Blizzard's Addons configuration window to configure Scorchio2.

Localization Help Needed!

Lots of work has gone into translation, but there's still some left to do. Localizations are easy to submit on the WowAce Localization Page, and help many users. Please help with this if you're able. And thanks to everyone who's helped so far!

Don't let one ingrate get on your nerve. Every mage in our guild uses Scorchio and we all appreciate the hard work you put into it for us to benefit from.

I, and all the other add-on authors do this in our spare time. I don't ask for donations for what I do - I do it because I enjoy it.

If you don't like the way I do things, you are more than welcome to find another add-on.

Just wanted to let you know that I, and I'm sure many others, really appreciate the work you do with scorchio2. It's elegant in it's simplicity, I've tried many other bar addons and keep coming back to scorchio2 because it does everything I want and nothing I don't.

I've been using mage fever to track my MB procs while waiting for blizzard to fix their UI, but I can't wait to get back to my scorchio bars.

*If* you are able to come up with a workaround in the meantime I'll be one of the first to download it, but like you said, this is a hobby, and it's far from expected. Thanks again for the great addon.

So you're waiting blizzard to fix something that can be fixed now... Sounds like you don't care if your addon works or not, you could make it check for the actual buff instead of combat log while there's no solution.

Anyway, great time to look into other addons like Elk Buff Bars or Power Auras Classic to track it, and if it works and I get used to, why would I download scorchio again?

Satrina Buff Frames can also track hot streak procs and can be configured to look like a scorchio bar.

my dps is lacking! not showing missile barrage and hot streak proc no more! and it doesnt even make that ding sound either!

The problem with poweraura is while it gets the job done, it gets it done a bit slower than scorchio. Powaura uses a different event type(unit_aura???)to get it's data from that causes the delay. So for those who do swap to Powerauras and think your notifications feel a bit clunky, that's why.

i don't know but i think that you can fix theese entries using the system of power auras that request you that you write tha name of the buf...

Found a semi workaround. I use Elkanos Buff Bars. I simply set Missile Barrage to Group 3, and moved that to sit just under where i normally have scorchio.

Maybe the workaround would be to check for buffs rather then checking in the combatlog for an event?

Confirmed, Elkanos Buff Bars can deteced Missile Barrage. So, there must be a way.

I noticed last night that Scorchio2 isn't tracking my Water Elemental now. I don't get the timer, the "ready to fade" alert or the "it's faded" alerts.

That's the problem. Blizzard hasn't yet commented on the bug forum on this issue. They list a bunch of known issues with 3.3 but this is not one of them.

I'm looking into the Missile Barrage and Hot Streak issues. Unfortunately, I'm away from my main computer at the moment, so it might take a little while to pull things together...
