Sell-O-Matic2

Table of Contents

The purpose of this mod is to help selling items in an easier way than just clicking all of them in the merchant.

How to use it

As simple as going near a merchant and opening his/her trade window, then you can click on the sell button (money icon). By default the addon only sells junk items (poor quality items).

Options

Auto sell: Allows the addon to automatically sell the items as soon as you open the merchant window, useful if you want to sell your items fast.
- Auto sell junk: Will only sell automatically all junk/grey items.
- Auto sell all: Will sell all the configured items automatically.
Preview: The addon will show a confirmation box and the items that would be sold so you can check the items before selling them.
Information type: Controls the amount of information the addon will output in the chat frame. You can choose full or lite.

Modules

The addon has several modules that can be activated or deactivated to fit your needs. This can be done from the addon's list in the character selection screen. By default all modules are disabled.

SellOMatic_Item: This module helps you sell items based on its quality and item level.

SellOMatic_Destroy: This module helps you destroy junk items.

You can have any combination of them activated, from none to all.

Commands

/sellomatic	Opens the configuration window
/som	Same as /sellomatic
/som help	Displays all in-game commands in chat window

If you want to help with the localization of the addon feel free to use the localization tool

Upgrading from Sell-O-Matic

If you're upgrading from Sell-O-Matic, uninstall that version first and do a fresh install of Sell-O-Matic2.

couldnt we have back the old listing system?
this +- with alt and control just wont work for me
keeps saying item is already on sell list, but still wont sell (its not on the save list)
even tried to manually edit the lua file, everything looks fine, the item is in the sell list but still wont sell

You probably also need to go to the "List Options" preference pane and enable "Sell White" or whatever the appropriate color is -- list items need to match BOTH the list options and the item name to be acted upon.

Silmano: It would be useful if there was a "DEBUG" option for the chat text that provided a detailed explanation of each item evaluated: "Checking item X. Item X matches Sell list. White items not enabled in List options...skipping item X." I appreciate the ability to add partial text matches and then remove high-level/high-rarity items from those generic matches, but it can be confusing.

Just tried loading som2 onto a second computer that previously had SOM1 (thinking that maybe the first comp i did it on was the issue). Same issue, yes this is a legit server "illidan". I can see SOM2 when i curse over the comp and it says using 1meg som2, but when i goto interfaces its not there under addons, or if i type /som. If i install som1 though it works fine. I also made sure som1 was deleted before installing som2.

I then tried to do a 'repair' of wow, but that didnt help.

So the only other reason i can see is maybe i need to delete the wow cache or something where my current characthers are probably expecting a folder of /sellomatic instead of /sellomatic2. But im not sure which files to delete, anyone know which files to delete to get som2 to work.

i tried renaming /sellomatic2 to /sellomatic but that didnt work. i noticed the som_main file references /sellomatic but then calls for /sellomatic2_item /sellomatic2_list and others.

Am playing on legit server, just noticed it sold a blue item. I wonder how many items I have lost because of this addon? :(

Have switched to SoM1, seems to be working fine.

Yes, I had this same annoyance, myself. I ran Magisters' Terrace, and when I went to mass sell my greys, I didn't realize it also sold the recipe for Haste Potion that I found on my trip.

I have myself to blame, mostly, considering I did notice that this addon tried to sell a Burning Crusade green a few days prior.

Since my accidental selling of the recipe, I've disabled the other components that SoM2 comes with. I'll keep a closer eye on what it sells from now on.

Worthless, cant even configure to just sell greys, logged in and it sold every green item in my inventory and all my ore.

Looking at SellOMatic2_Class, there does not seem to be any checking of options for selling soulbound class unusable items. If the SellOMatic2Class module is enabled it will always be called and used.

SellOMatic:Scan() will always call SellOMatic:Scan_Class() (if the addon is enabled), and SellOMatic:Scan_Class will always add soulbound unusable class items to the shopping list.

BTW I'm pretty sure that {if item_tooltip:Find(ITEM_SOULBOUND,1,3) and itemType == L["Armor"] or itemType == L["Weapon"] then} means (soulbound and armor) OR weapon, meaning even BoE weapons (that are not usable by the class) will also be added to the shopping list, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.

Note: until this is resolved disabling the addon in your addon list (and/or removing the SellOMatic2Class folder in AddOns) should prevent selling of soulbound class unusable items.

I'm on the live server and I'm having a similar issue as the people below. All my options are unchecked yet it's still automatically selling everything.
There is a problem with the mod that's causing this.

I'm not playing on private servers. However, som2 is selling my green and blue items when everything is UNCHECKED in config. It doesn't sell purple items.

I did however uninstall som2 and reinstalled som1 and it's working as intended. Seeing how a lot of people are having the same problems, I don't see how that is complaining. We are telling you that your (used to be great) UI is having problems. I assure you when the UI is not doing what it's intended to do, we are not complaining.

I'm using som1 right now and it's working perfectly like i said. Som2, I'll wait until you stop thinking we're complaining and fix the problem or I might just have to find another UI like some other players' said.

ok, did a fresh install and nothing changes. so i gess it's good bye som2. looking for alternatives now.
i never had such problems with version 1...

I think something is wrong. I went to a merchant and when I press the sell button it sold all my items including green and blue items that I was going to disenchant. When I went into config everything is NOT checked.

alright, something is wrong with that addon. updated it and all of a sudden it sells blues stuff including boe blues and every option for selling that kind off stuff is unchecked!
i will try a fresh install and see if that works...

this is the worst addon ever
it started on auto sell and with everything checked...now i dont have anything
i farmed mining for 2 hours and it sold everything

I manually installed sellomatic2 in the following root directory: ../Addons/ (just like all my other addons).

and then there's 4 folders

In wow when selecting which addons to activate, the 4 appear so i know wow detects it.

when i log into wow and type

/som
/sellomatic
/som2
/sellomatic2

none of those commands work, wow doesnt recognize it.

I then installed your old version SOM thats been discontinued, and the commands /som work as does every other feature i need.

I'll stick to the old SOM till it doesnt work and wait for bugs on this one to fix themselves in coming weeks. Otherwise GREAT ADDON, like it!
