Set Collector
Set Collector is an add-on for World of Warcraft that allows the player to view various transmogrification sets on their character and track the progress of their appearance collection.
Ready for Shadowlands
Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in this project! We have updated SetCollector for Shadowlands.
Here are some of the changes for the Shadowlands release of Set Collector:
- Set Collector will now allow sets from an entire expansion to be hidden using the Set Collector Addon settings (Interface > Addons > Set Collector). You can also enable/disable expansions through chat command as well. E.g., to toggle the Legion sets /setcollector version 7
- Two commonly requested features are now here and may be set in the Interface options:
- The Set Collector UI can be undocked and moved.
- The setting to show/hide the minimap icon is now global and shared by all characters.
- The Garrison Collection has been renamed to Expansion and will include sets obtained from expansion-specific features, such as Garrisons, Class Halls, and Warfronts.
- Character filters (e.g., Show only favorite sets) can now be seen and modified in Interface options.
- Tooltip details can be controlled in Interface options.
- Raid and PvP sets will now display the raids and pvp seasons the sets were obtained from.
- Filtering sets by specialization has been removed as transmog sets are not specialization specific.
Localization

Key Features
Players are able to view a list of collections (e.g., Raid, Dungeon or PvP) and their sets (e.g., BfA Season 1/Shaman/Horde) to select for preview. If there are multiple variants of the sets (e.g., Raid Finder/Normal/Heroic or Aspirant/Gladiator) then each variant is available for preview as well.
The list of sets is filtered by the activated specialization by default, but also allows for viewing off-spec sets or all sets for the class or armor type. It can also be filtered by sets marked as favorite. Right-click on the set or an unselected variant to mark it as a favorite. You can also filter by whether then set can be obtained or used for transmogrification.
In addition, Set Collector allows the player see their progress toward completing each set and set variant. A check mark will be displayed to show whether you have completed any or all of the variants in the set.
Set Collector also has key binding available to launch the UI. Currently located in the Other category in the Key Binding interface. Other options can be set in the Interface options.
Included Gear Sets
Current gear sets in Set Collector include:
- Legendaries
- Raid sets
- Dungeon sets
- Mythic Keystone/Challenge Mode Dungeon Sets (Mists of Pandaria)
- PvP sets (Seasons 14 to present)
- Expansion-Specific Sets (e.g., Garrison and War Campaign Sets)
- Crafted sets
- Other Sets incl. Holiday sets (Not necessarily transmog. Just for fun)
Slash Commands
Here are some of the notable slash commands for Set Collector (/setcollector or /sc).
- /setcollector - Toggles the Set Collector UI display
- /setcollector button - Toggles the minimap button
- /setcollector show - Shows the Set Collector UI (new)
- /setcollector hide - Hides the Set Collector UI (new)
- `/setcollector version [0-9] - Toggles the expansion sets shown in Set Collector. Default: 0, 8, and 9. Requires `/reload` for change to take effect.
- `/setcollector docked - Toggles the UI as docked or undocked. When undocked the Set Collector can be moved/dragged to a preferred location and will not move with other UI elements. Default: docked.
- /setcollector resetdb - Rebuilds the collection db (may help if the db gets corrupted or there is an issue with a Set Collector update)
- /setcollector help - Displays the Set Collector slash command help information. (new)

Can you or anyone please update this to include the salvage yard garrison sets? They are all different meaning some have caps and bracers and some dont, some have weapons etc. But for some brain dead reason blizzard has them all set to hidden until you unlock them. I'd love to get them all. but its a paint to track.
In reply to TeeracK:
Hi TeeracK! Yes, I am working on getting current release compatible with BFA and then will be evaluating what it will take to get the missing raid, pvp, and dungeon sets added. Thanks for the suggestion for the Salvage Yard sets!
In reply to Lomiedo:
Hello Lomiedo, is there a chance to get an update for the island expedition sets? :)
In reply to Selthi:
Island Expedition sets will be included in v.3.1.0 due out with the Shadowlands pre-patch.
In reply to Midoki24:
Thanks for the question! With the in-game Transmog interface in place I am now looking into how SetCollector can complement and improve the player's experience.
Do you will update this addon for BFA? I mean the Legion Sets not exist and BFA too. Is this addon discontinued?
In reply to Forge_User_55245620:
Thanks for the question and sorry for the late response. I wasn't sure there would be continued interest in the add-on after the Transmog interface was introduced in Legion. I am reviewing the comments and feedback received since to see about resuming work on this.
I was wondering if there's any option for a single slot in the addon (for example DK T11 Normal helm) to be flagged as collected if either of two appearance IDs has been collected. I ask this as both appearance ID 14040 and 14106 have the exact same appearance, only difference is that one is for the tank set and the other for the dps set.
Sorry. Real life pulled me away from this project. Do you know if all the other items share the same appearance IDs between the tank and dps sets?
I'm going to attempt to add the ability to add an item set/varient using only commands + item ids. I don't really know a ton of lua, or WoW dev, but ima try to make it work.
edit: nvm, holy crap, why do you people code for this game? The documentation is like, non-existent! How is there even addons for this game...
I've been doing it as a learning project. Yes, the documentation has been especially limited for the new appearance functionality which has been a challenge.
However, with the new appearances collection in Legion since I started the project and the upcoming sets functionality in 7.2, it looks like Blizzard may be making a form of Set Collector into native functionality. Now to hop on the PTR and see if Set Collector is still useful in 7.2.
Thanks for your interest in this project!
I'm sorry that I never got around to contributing the values. I really do love this addon though.
I was thinking that it might be nice to add the raids that a set is available from. When you mouse over the set in the list on the left column, you could add that information to the tooltip. You don't have to go into great detail, like which piece from which boss. Just mention which raid instance(s) are where you should head.
Sure. The two values in the A function are appearance ID and source ID. I have not found anything online that provides this information but I have setup a version of Set Collector 2 on my comp so I can run them side-by-side to get those IDs. The /setcollector debug option will add that information to the item's tooltip when hovering over it.
Is there any way for us to help you add more sets? I took a look at the db format. Where do the two values in the A function come from for each set? Such as:
AddVariant(70000,nil,col,set,"NORMAL",OBTAIN,TRANSMOG,A(14106,30068),A(14082,30070),A(13978,30066),A(14105,30067),A(13979,30069))
Each one of those relates to a piece, but I don't know where those can be sourced.
@transformis
Thanks for following the development of Set Collector! Version 2 did not survive the update to WoW 7.0 which caused the behavior your were seeing before installing the Set Collector Version 3 alphas.
With the introduction of the new Appearances Collection, it is time for Set Collector to move from monitoring items in your inventory, bags, bank, and void storage to monitoring your appearances. This is requiring a full rewrite for version 3. This is why so much of the functionality was lost moving from version 2 to one of the early alphas.
Version 3 is coming along nicely and am currently on track to have a beta next weekend and a release of Set Collector version 3 by the launch of Legion.
Thanks again!
When I first installed this addon and logged in, nothing matched. The character display would show random pieces of gear on my toon and not even full sets. Then as further updates came out, it worked less and less until now the list is completely blank.
