About
SexyCooldowns is a logarithmic cooldown bar. What's that, you say? Well, most timer bars you're used to are linear. That is, the distance between 0 seconds and 10 seconds is the same as the distance between 50 seconds and 60 seconds. A logarithmic cooldown bar is somewhat different - it represents cooldowns on a compressed timeline, so that cooldowns that are closer to being ready are represented as more active on the bar. This lets you represent a large amount of data on a single bar, and have it remain useful.
In short, SexyCooldown is a single consolidated timer bar for all your spell, pet's spell, item, and proc cooldowns, as well as buffs, debuffs, and totem timers. It's very flexible, and can be customized to fit into your UI as best you see fit.
Features
- Spawn as many bars as you want, and show the specific information you want on each.
- Supports spell and talent cooldowns, explicit and internal item cooldowns, buffs on you, debuffs on you, and debuffs on your target or focus.
- Very highly configurable look and feel. Build bars that will fit into any UI.
- Bars may be oriented horizontally or vertically, and move in either direction.
- Extensible - can support virtually any kind of timer. Currently works as a cooldown, buff, and debuff timer, but the possibilities are endless.
Demo
Here you can see that I have set up three separate bars, one for my cooldowns at the bottom, one for short buffs on me (<45 seconds) above my unit frame, and one for my debuffs on my target above the target unit frame.
In a raid setting (Click for HD):
Whenever I select a saved profile it gets the bars all out of whack.
Would be great if we could hide this when not in combat or engaged. Or, if out of combat, only show if there are buffs under a certain amount of time left.
Perfect addon otherwise.
When I used my Arcane Power, I noticed that it was on the cooldown bar twice. Then, I noticed that the first icon was showing when my Arcane Power buff ended; the second icon was showing when I would be able to cast that spell again.
What I did is just blacklisted the first one so now it only shows me when I am able to cast that spell again.
Does this make sense? :)
There also seems to be an issue where SexyCooldown just does not keep it's location / width / height settings between reloads / sessions. It's getting quite annoying having to constantly copy from one of my other char's profiles :(
for instance: mirror image(3 min)+icy veins(2.4 min)+berserking(3 min)+arcane power(1.4 min). it then shows only arcane power with its 1.4min cd and leaves the rest out. is there anyway to correctly show all cds on the bar without having to make multiple bars with different sets of blacklists?
For people who want to delete bars, turn on Advanced for a bar and scroll down in the Bar menu. There's a "/!\ Delete /!\" button there.
Unfortunately, it seems that blacklisting is completely broken.
I would like to suggest two things.
First: add a simple input box for blacklist entry, so you can just type in the names of things you don't want to see, like how Grid allows you to type in names of things you DO want to see.
Second: in addition to the blacklist, actually do exactly what grid does--implement a whitelist so that a bar will show you only the specific things you want to see in it. This would be highly preferable to having to blacklist all the things I don't want, which in some instances are many. For instance, as a shadow priest I want a bar that shows cooldowns for Mind Blast and Shadow Word: Death, but on the same bar I want to see the duration of the Devouring Plague, Shadow Word: Pain, and Vampiric Touch debuffs on the target. I also want to see the duration of my Mind Flay spell.
All of these things together would essentially give me a "what you should cast next" bar, which is the intent of my previous three-addon configuration.
Finally, I can confirm this weird thing with the Talisman of Resurgence trinket. I see the same effect when I pop my Nevermelting Ice Crystal, and for the record the talisman trink is in my bag as well.
Reason I think Sexycooldowns is responsible is simple trial&error, switching addons on and off.
Next time the "interface action blah blah" comes, the exact nature of the error including what addon and all that caused it is saved to the file taint.log in the Logs folder inside the WoW main folder!
