SharedMediaAdditionalFonts
Inserts more than 30 additional fonts into LibSharedMedia's storage.
LibSharedMedia is used as a library in other addons to add resources such as fonts, sounds, images, ... By installing SharedMediaAdditionalFonts, you add fonts to the list of fonts provided by LibSharedMedia to these addons. If your other addons do not use LibSharedMedia, this addon (SharedMediaAdditionalFonts) doesn't do anything.

I had another addon called 'SharedMedia_Noto,' and everything works with it, but I wanted to use your addon because it's more up-to-date and offers interesting fonts. I went through the code, and with the help of my understanding and ChatGPT, I found the cause of the issue. Below, I’ve attached a screenshot where I highlighted what I added from that addon, and it helped. Now your addon works for me on the RU client as well.

The font you're looking for is "Expressway Rg Bold".

Nevermind, found the font by downloading ElvUI from the official website, and also added all other ElvUI fonts!
Seems the Github repository above is not up to date.

Posted Aug 6, 2024Hey, any chance you could add the font "Expressway"? It's a font Elvui gives players access to and A LOT OF weakaura authors use it as their go-to font. But most users don't use Elvui which results in their WAs having horrendous looking fonts. Would be cool if you were able to add the font via this addon so that the WAs start working out of the box

File added is expressway_rg.otf but the one Khelge was talking about is expressway.tff and it looks different, at least to me

Echoing same thing here. Definitely a different font, or a different default weight. This made all my various texts look _very_ different.

These are the exact same WeakAuras, no change other than toggling the version of SharedMediaAdditionalFonts installed.
EDIT: Looking at them side-by-side definitely looks like a different font weight being used.

Surprisingly enough this one (after I downloaded it) is ALSO called Expressway Rg, but I think ElvUI actually uses a different weight, i.e. not Regular. Anyway, I'm updating it with the ElvUI one right now. Expect a new version soon!

Just for your information, current expressway used is not the same as the one I retrieved from ElvUI some time ago.

Posted May 22, 2024In reply to FreestyleR: Any time Blizzard bumps the game version, check if "load out of date addons" has been disabled. On the character select screen, bottom left, you'll see a button AddOns. Click on that and a new window opens. Enable the toggle at the top, then continue loading the game. Note: this tries loading outdated addons, some work while others will error. It is a case-by-case basis.
