finally got the world capture bar frame moving. final beta version? let me know of any problems.
variance - yes, SMM is different then it was when i first created it. i made it modular so that you delete the modules if you want and still get the core functionality (which still _is_ simple). delelte the GUI folder if you don't want the drop down menus. the choice is yours. the version you downloaded is a _beta_ and i have not updated the description yet to explain the new system because of this. hopefully a non-beta version will be out soon and when you read the new description it will make more sense to you.
if all you want is the core functionality then only install the simpleMinimap folder and none of the other 5 (yes, 5!) folders =).
I enjoyed the SMM days of old with one directory, simple command line options, and one purpose : to control the minimap. Now it seems there are 6 (count that 6!) directories and moveable frames for durabilty/quests/etc? What's going on? I figured out (all by myself) that I could delete the movers directory! yet, Please consider releasing all non-map related modules as stand alone "addons". And yes, the right click capability is nice, but typing /smm skin is so much easier than sifting through right click menus or typing out the now winded, "/smm modules skins skin", oh what's that? yeah I forgot to select a number, "/smm modules skins skin 6".
faux, you can move all of the default minimap buttons around the minimap with this mod. did you mean move as in seperate it from the minimap?
kebinusan, yes. a mistake i made while trying to get the new world capture bar under SMM's control. beta 4 will be up in a bit.
jayblah, sounds like the module library didn't load for you for some reason. or perhaps another ace2 mod has a bad library? i heard about something like that with BossMods. try installing the mod again, try disabling other ace2 mods to see idf that works.

one thing though .. is it possible to move the mail indicator without installing a seperate addon for moving frames? i don't really want to use visor just for that one thing...
I have no errors with Beta 3, but locking the minimap doesnt hide the movers.

The Ace2 profiles system is globally saved in Savedvariables folder for all chars.
It's a few days now i test it, i think it's ready for release ^^
Im using the german client version and im getting the following error message:

tazmanyak, not sure. doesn't it need to save which profile the character is using? this is why i left it in (as does the example mod on the Ace2 site). it's nto a big deal, but ill see if i need that line or not.
I think in the ace2 beta version you can simply disable the savedvariableperchar line don't you ? As you can choose profiles ... seems no longer required ^^
jadefish, "/smm hide movers" on the old version. on the beta, just turn off the "movers" module.
tazmanyak, i too use fubar although i don't use any minimap icons with it. i would imagine that fubar is just checking to see if the SquareMinimap mod is installed and going from there. i suppose i could "fool" fubar. i'll look at it. i don't think frame strata is the same with the minimap because of the dynamic nature of the map. i can try to change it, but i'm not sure that it will react like other frames.

I was previously using Squeenix, an Ace2 square minimap. Fubar provides built-in support for minimap buttons, really really good option.
With Squeenix my fubar minimap buttons where moveable on the squared border, but with your addon, the buttons are moving on a "round" virtual border even with squared or cornered mask.
I hope you can undertand what i mean Arjuna ^^ Nice translation to Ace2 btw, pretty good work :)
Oh, can you please add a way to modify the frame strata ? Actually Minimap is hiden by some other frames that are background Strata, strange, but ...
Edit: dont consider this post as a "bug" report, as Fubar minimap buttons can be easily detached. But it could be a nice improvement to your addon ^^
There is a reason I don't use move anything, it makes my UI load about 200 times slower if it's installed and the only thing I can't move or remove is the default icons around the map, now I can thanks to Arjuna adding that ability to his mod.
And now that it's ace2, uh woot woot
