simpleMinimap

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

simpleMinimap is a module-centric addon for modifying and personalizing one of the center-pieces of any UI - the minimap. the core simpleMinimap mod has these features...

* left-click and drag the minimap anywhere
* hide and move the default minimap buttons
* zoom in and out with the mousewheel
* adjust the minimap's scale, outdoor alpha and strata
* bind a key to toggle the minimap and/or zoom it full-screen
* type '/smm' for a list of commands

simpleMinimap also comes with several modules. these modules can be disabled and/or the files can be deleted if you don't need or want access to the features. they are located in the simpleMinimap/modules folder...

* Autozoom - automatically zoom-out minimap after delay
* Compass - NSEW markings on the minimap
* Coords - small frame that shows map coordinates
* GUI - dropdown setup menus (default is right-click on minimap)
* Movers - allows movement of UI frames attached to the minimap
* Pings - popup frame that shows the minimap pinger's name
* Skins - allows for changing the minimap's skin (square, corner)

The command to show the calender is: /smm show time
The command to show the tracker is: /smm show track

I was going to try Mappy, but I never really liked it too much. This mod has always been my favorite, because it is so customizable. I will have to stick with the generic WoW map until then.

In 3.0 it seems to mostly work, but my tracking button is MIA and the toggle doesn't seem to make it show. Hopefully will be addressed soon.

Yeah Zimpak, I ran across it by going to the Show/Hide menu and turning on the Time Indicator. Good luck!

One of my favorite mods. Hope it gets released for the new 3.0 patch.

I love the right-corner selection...square into the corner, rounded around the opposite side. Also love that I can color the coordinates - gold against black is really easy to see.

Love this mod.

Does this mod actually change the look of the Mini-Map at all?

The time button still isn't showing, as was mentioned in the forum thread. Only reason I'd want to see it is for the alarm function, but it's still frustrating not to be able to get to it.

Hmm, I can't get the yellow question marks from completed Quests to show up on the Simple MiniMap ... is there some way to fix this? They are showing up as blue exclamation points still.

Maybe author will read someday. I just downloaded a l;astes version from WoWace and I get ussies with blizzard feature "Rotating Minimap" and this add-on. Then minimap rotaning there is:
no compass (Mod one, not a Blizzard) don't rotate
Map texture don't resize while rotating. So you can see an empty places and texture parts crossing Minimap border.

Don't know if this addon is still being actively supported or not. Hope so as I prefer it over any others I've found for mini maps.

I have noticed a glitch in which if the scale is set to anything beyond 1.15 and you attempt to have the character and any other window open they will glitch. ie: If I open the vendor window and then the Character window they will stack on top of each other. Just letting you guys know and hope ing you can fix this soon.

I have the latest version from wowace. Everything works fine except that it always resets itself to the bottom center of my screen. This happens when I relog or reload. Any fixes for this? Just getting tired of moving it every time I log in.

I downloaded this but I find that, I can view other people's pings but I cant ping the minimap. ANyone know if its a bug or is there a way?

Hey, I've been having a weird glitch where when I try to drag Blizz's Map button to a different place on the map, the image part slips out of the ring that hold it. It still works alright, but it;s really annoying.
And reason this is happening? Resetting profile doesn't work.

I have this problem. My SIMPLEMINIMAP is "unable" when I right-clik on it. What do I have to type, to get it enable again?

in order to re enable the right click function you have to type

/smm gui enabled not "ENABLE"

Oh, and I update using WoWUs, which checks for updates for all your Ace2 mods, so it's up to date with everything that's on http://files.wowace.net. I recommend getting it if you haven't already. Thanks again.
