This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.
As of Patch 4.1, this addon is no longer working or neccessary.
I'm using the Traditional Chinese client. I have created a locale file that makes the addon work with the Chinese client. Do you want me to send you the file so you can have zhTW support too? (I've only changed 2 lines to make it work, I didn't translate the menus/options yet)
10-man ZA raid, 1 warlock and me (priest). SimpleSoulstone loads without errors and the FuBar plugin appears, along with its Tablet options list. But...have the warlock cast a soulstone on me throughout the raid (at least 4 times) and nothing appears on the Fubar display except the big "0" that was there before the stone was cast. It simply didn't recognize a soulstone being cast on me.
FuBar_SoulJarFu (which hasn't been updated for WoW 3.0), on the other hand, showed the soulstone properly in its display along with providing a timer on it.
Thanks for trying again and reporting this error.
I'll try to reproduce it tonight, during our last pre-WotLK raid, but this version worked (almost, stupid Spirit of Redemption!) fine for me.
Maybe this is a language issue. My client is deDE.
Speaking of which...the latest v1.4beta1 doesn't work at all. Playing in both a party & raid on a Priest.
All appropriate display options are selected in FuBar_SimpleSoulstoneFu v1.4beta1 (Show in raid, Show in Party, Show Sources, etc.). No errors are tossed up, but nothing shows at all in the FuBar plugin after a soulstone is cast in the party/raid. No indication it was cast, nothing, just the default icon text.
Unless, of course, SimpleSoulstone is designed to only show information for Warlocks and not when playing any other class. Which is of limited usefulness. The not-updated-for-3.0 FuBar_SoulJarFu still works without issues on any character type. It shows who the party/raid soulstones are on and what the expiry timers on them are.
Hope you can get SimpleSoulstone working soon. Or else allow it to show info when being used on non-Warlocks if it is in fact working.
It should work for non-warlocks. I am a druid myself. =)
I cannot seem to reproduce your problem.
The display beneath the soulstone should be empty if you are not in a raid (or party) containing at least one warlock. If you are, all warlocks should be listed.
These settings you are talking about are for the on-screen display you probably are not using if you've got FuBar.
I tried it today (even installed Fubar! =)), but it works for me.
Please reinstall, delete your settings (The SimpleSoulstone.lua in your WTF-Accountname-SaveVariables folder) and try again. Sorry =)
Error on logon with v1.3a/r47 (libraries disembedded, USEng server/client, WoW 3.0.2 live, also have SimpleSoulStoneFu v1.3a enabled):

Does anybody else experience this behavior?
Standby does not really work, I think... it is something some Ac2 librarie adds automatically.
Just might be a locale issue if yours is different (on USEng here).
SimpleSoulstone-1.4\\SimpleSoulstone.lua:388: attempt to index field 'casting' (a nil value).
Versions marked as alpha are prone to be very buggy. I am grateful for error reports, but do not expect them to work. =)

I'll go and fix this.

Can anybody else confirm this error?

This will be fixed in the upcomming version.
I think releasing 1.3a was a little premature, sorry.
