Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Usage
When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.
Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.
In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.
You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.
Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality, such as:
- Skada Graphs: Adds graph display systems to Skada
- Skada DPSplusHPS: Useful add-on for Disc Priests.
- Skada Chat Frame Integrator: Integrates Skada in any chat frame.
- SkadaScroll: Provides additional options for scrolling the bar displays
- Skada Avoidance and Mitigation: Helps tanks benchmark their damage reduction performance via avoidance and mitigation
- Skada for Tanks: Adds information useful for evaluating a tank's performance
- Guild Skada High Score: Let's you compare a guild's performance.
- Skada_FriendlyFire: Display friendly fire damage done by players
- Skada Player Score: Generate combined performance scores for players.

The latest version is compatible with both the live game and Mists of Pandaria.
Do you think skada will be updated for wow 5.0? Actually recount has been updated .. is there some internal build to test? I saw a raid streaming yesterday with a working skada version...
Current fight no longer shows anything with the latest update. Just a blank window. No LUA errors.
I just compared Skada and Recount with each other I realized something strange.
The overall damage done was slightly different from recount. As I compared the value with the combat log I saw, that Skada sometimes misses the first autohit when I don't use an ability.
Can somebody confirm this?
Skada starts recording data when YOU enter combat. Recount starts recording when any PARTY or RAID member enters combat.

I don't see a bar width setting. It's overlapping a border texture I want to use.
Also, it would be cool to be able to change the class colors.
I looked through some code and found that you use RAID_CLASS_COLORS.
I'm not the greatest with reading code, but I understand that it calls the FrameXML/Constants.lua which defines RAID_CLASS_COLOR.
Can I just make a SKADA_CLASS_COLOR of my own inside Constants.lua that resembles the RAID_CLASS_COLOR, then change the rgb values in the new SKADA_CLASS_COLOR table and then change Skada.Classcolors to call SKADA_CLASS_COLOR instead of RAID_CLASS_COLOR?
Even when I have skada ticked to not show in pvp, it still shows when I am in BG.

There is currently an issue with hunter pet's damage not being merged with a hunter if the pet has the same name as the hunter.

Is it possible that you can see the full name of the other servers in the list too?Example: (old) Recca (new) Recca-DunMurogh or Brainsux-Frostmourne
is there an option to add in the top bar a "prev" and "next" button to fast switch the view like Recount?
I'm not sure if I had miss it, but if I didn't it would be nice to have an option supressing the question if I would like to Reset Skada, when I enter a new Dungeon or group for example. My poit is to have the option to make the reset automatic without any need of confirmation.

if i set a bordertexture the border is behind the bars so i cant see it. Any solution?
Is it possible to make Skada show in combat and hide out of combat? Changed from recount to skada since recount wouldnt do it. Hopefully this can but i cant seem to get it to do that :(
Does this not show absorbs anymore or is that just combined under healing?
It is combined with Healing. Note that only absorb effects reported correctly in the combat log are included.
