Skada Damage Meter
Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.
"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".
Usage
When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.
Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.
In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.
You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.
Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.
Plugins
Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality, such as:
- Skada Graphs: Adds graph display systems to Skada
- Skada DPSplusHPS: Useful add-on for Disc Priests.
- Skada Chat Frame Integrator: Integrates Skada in any chat frame.
- SkadaScroll: Provides additional options for scrolling the bar displays
- Skada Avoidance and Mitigation: Helps tanks benchmark their damage reduction performance via avoidance and mitigation
- Skada for Tanks: Adds information useful for evaluating a tank's performance
- Guild Skada High Score: Let's you compare a guild's performance.
- Skada_FriendlyFire: Display friendly fire damage done by players
- Skada Player Score: Generate combined performance scores for players.

There is no easy fix for that, your client simply doesn't "receive" any combat log entries from players on other platforms. Same applies to phasing realms, like at Gara'jal.
I remember the very first dps meters had a sync option to communicate data with other players. That would be a way to receive combat log entries from other realms.
I was just about to ask if teh author could add a raid syncing ability, it would be greatly appreciated
Yeah, having the option to sync with other raid members once you leave combat would be great.
This is due to distance. Your game client does not receive any data from those faraway players. The same thing occurs on a few other gimmick encounters across the WoW expansions, but they are few, which is why I have not made a workaround. A workaround would be sharing of data. Recount has this, but disabled by default I believe (due to the cost).
An acceptable (performance-wise) solution would be sharing of end results instead - normal processing during combat, but some sort of after-combat comparision and update of results.
Any plans to integrate Skada into the Logitech G-series keyboard LCD displays?
When the name of pet and the name of player are the same skada don't merge the damage corretly.
I'm a paladin in TW server , I found my damage done by the lv90 talent skill
" Light's Hammer"only be counted in my own skada , but didn't show in other raid members' skada.
Is that only happened to me? Or that's a bug already fixed/ plan to be fixed?
Thanks for reading.

Great addon, but it's been broken with Glyphs and Talents for way too long. I'm using something else :(
Hi! I'm sorry to bother you, but it appears that the Elemental Force enhancement's proc doesn't seem to be tracked by Skada's damage meter.
just noticed this myself, too.
This taint seems to be rampant since 5.1 and can usually be traced to popup windows. As a quick workaround (until the problem gets adressed properly) configure Skada to automatically reset (or not reset) if you join a group or enter an instance. At least for me that did the trick, no more taint so I can change talents or glyphs again.
This has been happening to me also for some time now. Really annoying cause you have to disable addon to change the glyph then log off and re-enable the addon.
Thanks for posting the problem!
This propped up when I tried to replace glyphs:

Skada damage keeps automatically switching to Total Damage, rather than Current Fight. Any way to stop this from happening? Driving me nuts lol!
Same problem here :( no idea what to do...
I'll 2nd this ... I cannot see any way to actually "Report" Skada data to any of the new Scenarios or LFR groups. Does the "Say" option work for these groups?
FYI report party does not work. you guys need to add "instance" report option

I've encountered a problem lately where skada disappears and stops logging data. I can make skada reappear using /skada toggle, but it still won't log data till I /reload interface. I don't get any bug reports when this happens. The problem appears when I enter a new zone mainly
