SpellBinder
SpellBinder is a simple, ugly Ace2 mod that creates a GUI for the new SetBindingItem, SetBindingSpell, and SetBindingMacro functions. Simply put, it allows you to bind stuff to keys without taking up an actionbar slot.
To summon the window, use /spellbind, or set a key binding in the bindings menu.
- Click on a button on the left, then select or enter something to bind a key to.
- Click on the "Click to Set" button, then enter a key combination
- Check that the spell, item or macro name is correct, check that the key combination is correct, then click "Set Key". That's it!
1. Log out to the character select screen
2. Disable all add-ons except for SpellBinder (on the select character screen, click on the Addons button in the lower left).
3. Log in and set your global and character-specific bindings
4. Log out and turn back on all your Addons
5. Log back in and test your bindings
Voila! You can use your new bindings -and- your plugins at the same time!

Im trying to use this to keybind the numeric keypad to macro's but it seems that the binding is lost as soon as I close Spellbinder. I have set the key's multiple times, but as soon as I close Spellbinder and re-open it the key has been cleared.
If you're having trouble binding a SHIFT+ key (or CTRL/ALT etc.) you need to press SHIFT (etc.) before clicking the "Click to Set" key. So hold down shift, click it, then click the other key/mouse button you want while holding down shift. GL
Is it just my keyboard, or are other people having trouble after 2.3. . . . getting shift+(a key) or like alt+(a key) to work?
Simply astounding addon, I really don't know where I'd be without it, me being the sort of person who keeps one bar [or none] on the screen.
Can't thank you enough for making it
i can't find any other mod that does this and i'm just requesting that you add a feature that lets you make more keybinding profiles. I am a shaman that specs back and forth and my spells for 1-6 would be changed. So im just asking that you make a feature that allows you to save different sets of keybindings for the same keys pleaseeeeeee.
Meep, meant to + that comment, not -...
I would like to have a profile option as well... its frustrating that I cant set this thing up to use on all my characters.
I would also like to see this feature. I really want to use it for both my Shaman and my Druid.
I would like to second this request - please (if possible) include a feature that would allow savable/transferable profiles. :)
I'll third it, then. I'd love for profiles to be available. Spellbinder is how I get everything done.
Update this addon please
How does one bind a spell to a mouse button with this mod? Whenever I try any combination of shift/ctrl/alt+mouse button it refuses to acknowledge it.
you should add the part with the characterspecific bindings in the description above. i think thats very important and not everyboby reads the comments.
I've heard there's some issues with the functions that it uses on macs, that should be fixed in 2.0.3. I can't test, as my mac exploded.
