Does this addon have a way to disable the bars? I just want it to pop up and tell me when my arcane familiar isn't around
Update TOC for 7.x ?
Thanks Stuxz. I've bumped the TOC now, but have not been able to test it. Please let me know if you have any problems.
TOC bumped and no longer marked as Inactive.
The Addon still works with no changes after all this time thanks to its Spell Detection mechanism.
Hope you all enjoy the new expansion!
is there a way to geht sound out of this addon even soundeffects are disabled in wow like bigwigs does it?
Atm it plays sound only when sound effects are turned on
Thank you for the update, Oridan.
I can't play without this addon. All alternatives can do too much or too little or take a year to configure.
You're very welcome, glad you have such good use from it!
Hey Oridan. Nice to see you having updated this for Toofurrypandatime.
Haven't had a WoW subscription for a while here; any bug reports of panda mods are forwarded from old friends that do. Thus wasn't going to be updating the spell IDs of this (the first bug report I received from friends) and so on as I can't currently test. But nice to see that you have.
Will know for sure whether am done for good once the fur starts flying at the end of Sept.. But nice job again on the update; my friends and all other fine users of SpellReminder will be pleased
Hi all, I have updated SpellReminder for 5.x now. I hope you all find it useful on your time with Pandaria.
Thanks,
Oridan
is there a way to add any custom sounds to the soundpack i see there in either mp3 or ogg format. when i try to add them ( mp3 ) to the sound pack using lockpack when i go into look for them they are not there there is not a sound file in spell reminder that i can find but all the other sounds that are in lock pack are there. i was wanting to add some sounds for my warlock like shaddow bolt and hand of gul-dan
Can you please provide an option to disable the add on based on either talent tree or just pvp vs. pve?
Also sometimes on multi target situations I do not seem to get the second dot timer - its inconsistent.
Just found this addon and am enjoying it so far, thank you. Would it be possible to see support for Masque in this addon so we could skin the bars + icons? So far the lack of being able to do thati s the only shortcoming I see with this addon. Would be awesome to see that! Also, is there a way to create some spacing between the bars so it is a bit easier on the eyes?
Hi, thanks for your feedback. SpellReminder currently supports bar skinning and custom sounds with SharedMedia, but unfortunately not icon skinning. Im not sure if i will have time to look at an alternative implimentation for quite some time. I hope this does not pose too much of a problem for you. Thanks for using SpellReminder!
Thanks Zidomo for your continued support in testing and maintaining SpellReminder! I'm having a hectic few months with work so i haven't had chance to do anything recently.
Mathuselah: Zidomo's suggestion will hopefully solve your problem. But i do have a warlock so will also test this as soon as i get chance. i haven't forgotten about you :)
I'm not Oridan, I just play him on TV ;). But will try to help.
Haven't played/tested a Warlock past level 10, so unfortunately can't help with the specifics for those spells. Other than to see that on Wowhead, both the Doomguard & Infernal are supposed to last 45 seconds each after summoning. But a few general things to do when you don't see spells you expect providing bars.
First thing: Make sure you have the latest alpha/release version installed (currently v3.1).
Then, head into Spell Reminder's options (press ESC, Interface, Addons). Click Spell Reminder. Then click the "Cooldowns" header and make sure the box is checkmarked.
Next: in the main Spell Reminder header, click the Spell Setup tab. Make sure the Disable Detection checkbox is _not_ checked.
If you've already done all that, the next thing is to look at one of the other header listings on that tab. For example, if you were expecting a spell (or spells) to be in the "Cooldowns" section, they may instead be listed in "Buffs" or "Debuffs". So check there instead. When upgrading from older versions or otherwise, new or re-detected spells are not always listed in completely alphabetical order under the above headers. They may start out as such, then new ones are listed in random order at the end of the lists, etc.. So you may have to look through the entire lists for each header to find the spell you want.
Finally, once you do finally find the spells you want, click on them. Make sure both "Enabled" & "Show Self" are checkmarked for each of them. Also "Show Others" if that doesn't work; not recommended for most spells as you'll often get too many bars.
Spellreminder has not been working in the 4.3 PTR. It gets a divide/0 error in libBars. I installed the latest libBars and seems to have fixed the problem.
Hi Oridan - can't tell you how thrilled I was when I found out this addon was still supported and current for 4.3. Stopped playing before Cata and when I recently came back and discovered my older ver. of SR no longer worked....I freaked. By far my fav addon, and really nothing else to replace it. Bravo. Question for you - I've tried to get 3 spells on my normal bars along with my sp/haste procs and buffs, namely Infernal / Doomguard / and Ebon Imp proc when it spawns. None currently appear when I have detect new spells active... can't figure out how to get them on my proc bar. The DG and Infernal appear on my seperate CD bar, so basically I can watch that 10 min countdown and when it gets to 9:20 I know they have 5 secs left on their spawn. Any way to make this happen so I have a visual countdown timer for their duration? many many thanks for all your work - Mathuselah
I like your UI, what is the name of it?
no name, i just made it myself (though it was problaby modified from something) :)
@Civrock
no worries Civrock, hope it works and doesn't interfere with your raid! gl+hf :)
