SpellReminder

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

Features as follows:
* Automatic spell detection and duration tracking.
* Tertiary effect detection (frostbite, vulnerabilities, other talent effects, and more).
* Customisation of bars (size, colour, positions).
* EMPHASIS of expiring bars (moveable/hideable).
* Audio notification when spell is ending / has ended.
* Raid Announcing when spell has been cast / is ending / has ended.
* Customisable bar groups supporting filtering of buffs to specific groups (target/focus/custom/default).

SpellReminder broke for me with the 3.1.2 patch. Switched to using DoTimer.

For some reason my SpellReminder doesn't load at all sometimes. Then I have to relog my WoW a couple of times and it suddenly appears. I've been experimenting with turning my other addons on/off to see if there's something conflicting, but it's hard to catch as SpellReminder might load even if the addon who's conflicting is enabled. Using the latest r189 version.

Anyone else experienced this?

Edit: It seems this happens when I have both Ace3 and Ace2 enabled, OR only Ace3. When I only have Ace2 enabled it consistently loads.. but if I don't have Ace3 enabled I might be getting trouble with other addons?

@Gara2: You can just click on anything you don't want in the spellrem.-menu, and it will put them to another tab for untracked buffs/debuffs/cooldowns. Its a bit buggy though, sometimes it doesn't show up straight away.

I seem to have trouble with different profiles. I have a healing profile and a dps profile, but when I'm switching from one to the other they don't seem to be seperated at all, I get the tracked healing spells in my dps profile aswell as the other way around (once I fixed it) - am I doing something wrong?

Hi there,

I love this addon, been looking some time now for something to show me when to rebuff something BEFORE it expires - seems to be nothing like that out there except this great addon.

Anyway - is there going to be an update? I'm getting alot of errors, like for example when I disable spell detection.

Also a question: How can I select specific stuff to be tracked? As a warrior I don't want to see my Bleed Effects for example, best would be if I could directly select that what I want (shouts and sunder armor in my case). Any way to do it?

oridan, I'll post a comment here since I am unsure if you will see one that is attached to a closed ticket. Ticket #7 is not solved, please have a look at it again, I think you have misunderstood the ticket.

The post below from SJBWOW is probably refering to the same problem as this ticket.

Great for tracking Beacon of Light and Sacred Shield - using it for other chars too. Since last patch tho, it keeps reminding me that Sacred Shield is expiring/expired when its not!

doesn't pick up sunder armour on bosses, worked fine on adds and normal mobs ...

Guys, how to stop displaying spells by those who are near me? Only mine buffs, debaffs and CDs. I need to switch it off while at the lake, bg and in cities as the number of stripes is crazy. Thanks

First Of, nice addon.
But i got a little Problem..
Under the "Timer bars" -> "Bar formatting" -> "Display Text" i by mistake deleted the default command and replaced it with a random word.. But now the addon calls all of my spells that random word.. pls help.

Hi Icumeth, you can turn off the bar headers by going to the options and selecting "Lock Bars". Cheers!

first to say that i want to thank you oridan, because thanks to spellreminder i've been able to track paladin "beacon of light" properly.

but since 3.1.0. spell reminder doesnt work at this issue. it detects my beacon of light and the others ones from all the paladins in raid. i don't know if this can be fixed but if it is possible that would be a awesome for me and other paladins who are using this addon for tracking.
