TinyTip
<font>Please delete your all your TinyTip folders before upgrading to the latest version</font>
What is TinyTip? Well, it started out as just a simple upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini and exploded from there. Now it shares no code with what it used to be, becoming something more, while still staying true to its name. The core of TinyTip is basically just an upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini, a small file around 24KB. The more modules you allow to load, the more this value increases. The goal of TinyTip is to allow you to mix and match your modules while keeping the smallest memory footprint possible. All files except TinyTip.lua and its locale files are optional. You can take a look below, I've listed the optional files as "not required". If you don't use a file's features, you can safely remove it from the TOC.
Anyway, as you can guess, TinyTip changes the look of your GameTooltip. Here are the features found in core:

Troubleshooting

Q: TinyTip is preventing another tooltip addon from working.
A: Go into that other addon's TOC file and add/change this line to include TinyTip.
## OptionalDeps:
Q: I'm getting an error from TinyTip, or an option isn't working right.
A: 1) Check my WoWI portal to see if it's a known issue, and for updates.
2) Maybe your files are corrupt. Delete TinyTip, TinyTipExtras, and TinyTipOptions, then re-download them and install from stratch.
3) Your Saved Variable database may have gotten corrupt somehow. Try using /tinytip default and then /tinytip confirm to reset it.
4) If resetting your options doesn't work, exit WoW, delete all your Saved Variable files for TinyTip (global and per character), then restart WoW.
5) Leave a bug report on my WoWI portal.
Q: Where's the secret cow option?
A: There is no secret cow option.
For me the guildname of pvp flagged people is a bit lower in position than normally. Just a little bug, but i dont like it xD
Hope for the fix.
Other "problem" or feature request. Is there a possibilty that you add a % or value in on the healthbar in the tooltip? Maybe based on the MobInfo2 Data?
Thx, bye, tec aka Vir
Awesome they work with 1.4.5 - but now they are just huge :P
Is it possible to keep the tooltip at 100% but make the Raid Icon only about 50%?
/farewell AF_ToolTip /welcome TinyTip
_really_ good work so far. I love it. Eye-candy + nifty fetaures.
I get the exact same error as solariz. And also in AQ40, seems to be when I mouseover a boss or maybe anything hostile... need to check more, but couldn't do so at the time (was a bit hectic in there:p).
Getting the following error when I mouse over any target with a Raid Icon, while in a Raid:
Error: Interface/Addons/TinyTip/Extras/TinyTipIcons.lua:90: Usage: <unnamed>:SetTexCoord(minX,maxX,minY,maxY) or SetTexCoord(ULx,ULy,LLx,URx,URy,LRx,LRy)
Had the 1.3 version of this and loved it! Upgraded to 1.4.4 but am having a problem with anchoring the tooltip. Using the GUI to set the frame tooltip to the cursor I can't get it to accept an offset: it sticks resolutely to the cursor. The "mob" tooltip works fine, set offset to 75 and it floats nicely above the cursor: it's just when I try to mouse over a tin vein or something like that I can't get the tooltip to separate from the cursor. Any ideas?
I've installed 1.4.4 still in AQ40 done a client restart and now the old error is gone but a new error is present see screenshot:
http://www.solariz.de/pix/images/64734836.jpg
AQ40 error after Error using v1.4.3 and on and on it appears:
Error TinyTipExtras\TinyTipIcons.lua:90 attempt to call global 'txSetTextCoord' (a nil value)
I just upgraded to Tinytip after using an tt from stoneage. Very good so far, and using it with Mobinfo2 gives good mob info in tooltip.
Error: Interface AddOns TinyTipExtras TinyTipIcons.lua:90 Attempt to call global `txSetTextCoord` (a nil value)
Getting this error when I have raid turned on and mouse over a mob/friendly with Raid Icon
@rune X-Perl UnitFrames has a assisting/targetting me frame.
But as Thrae says, the only things that can be determined as targetting you are people that members of your raid already have targetted, or you happen to mouse over them.
@ rune - First off, this is obviously outside the scope of TinyTip. Secondly, there is absolutely no way to determine if players not in your party, raid, mouseover unit (tooltip), or target are targeting you. There's no event spawned or handler activated for enemy PCs and NPCs changing targets. The best you could do is iterate over all members of your raid and see if their target is targeting you. There are various mods out there that can do this.
im not sure if any addons exist out there in this fashion but if not let me propose this.
I have been wanting an addon that tells me who is looking at me. I see this addon has a "targeted by" list and if this functionality would be displayed in "Watcher" form it would be amazing, with a ding accompanying when the opposite faction is added to the list and the options to display or hide when npcs and friendlies target you.
this would make it alot easier to identify when you've been spotted as a rogue or what not, and would probably allow for better bg/pvp attacking. if this exists please redirect me to it, but if not i'd be willing to code something like this myself.
Version 1.4 released. All old bugs fixed, possibly new ones added. Enjoy!
I don't get color for the class display? is there a option that i miss or something? like me needing to enable colors for the class field?
hmm is any bug known where ttip didnt show the guildname ?
Also would it be possible to change the color of the name into the class color ?
Hi,
Great addon have now dumped Tipbuddy so thanks for making this appreciate it heaps.
I am still having problems like others with Mob info 2 and GFW Hunters Helper. I have added to their Toc files the optional dependeny of TinyTip as you have instructed as to do but it hasn't worked at all sorry to say. Monkey Quest worked well after changing its Toc though which is great. i don't know if changing TinyTip to !TinyTip would help to load it before the others like you have done once b4? Anyway any suggestion would be appreciated as I really do miss these to functions. Hope you can help me and others that want this to work with MI2 and Hunters Helper. Also if those of you who have got it working lets us know what you have done incase it is something esle apart from updating the Toc file please.
Thanks again
I have a trouble that tooltip would be broken when mouse cursor enters the road or shop sign.
plz check this shot. http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/1994/bugq8up.png
i tried anchor top or anchor bottom, it doesn't work. the tooltip always follow the cursor
i edited the default setting in tinytip.lua it works.
some suggestion: PVPRANK icon is a little large, and smart non-unit tooltip while using anchor top
thanks for working
TinyTip v1.3 will be out tommorrow afternoon unless someone finds any serious bugs with my latest SVN commit. v1.3 is a HUGE update, so it needed in-depth testing (didn't want something like 1.29).
