TinyTip
<font>Please delete your all your TinyTip folders before upgrading to the latest version</font>
What is TinyTip? Well, it started out as just a simple upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini and exploded from there. Now it shares no code with what it used to be, becoming something more, while still staying true to its name. The core of TinyTip is basically just an upgrade over AF_Tooltip_Mini, a small file around 24KB. The more modules you allow to load, the more this value increases. The goal of TinyTip is to allow you to mix and match your modules while keeping the smallest memory footprint possible. All files except TinyTip.lua and its locale files are optional. You can take a look below, I've listed the optional files as "not required". If you don't use a file's features, you can safely remove it from the TOC.
Anyway, as you can guess, TinyTip changes the look of your GameTooltip. Here are the features found in core:

Troubleshooting

Q: TinyTip is preventing another tooltip addon from working.
A: Go into that other addon's TOC file and add/change this line to include TinyTip.
## OptionalDeps:
Q: I'm getting an error from TinyTip, or an option isn't working right.
A: 1) Check my WoWI portal to see if it's a known issue, and for updates.
2) Maybe your files are corrupt. Delete TinyTip, TinyTipExtras, and TinyTipOptions, then re-download them and install from stratch.
3) Your Saved Variable database may have gotten corrupt somehow. Try using /tinytip default and then /tinytip confirm to reset it.
4) If resetting your options doesn't work, exit WoW, delete all your Saved Variable files for TinyTip (global and per character), then restart WoW.
5) Leave a bug report on my WoWI portal.
Q: Where's the secret cow option?
A: There is no secret cow option.
I saw your UI and downloaded it. When I play I now have an enormous tooltip box size (i.e. way too much info) with mobs. I know I have tooltipwrangler, mobinfo2 loaded also. Can I ask is there another tooltip UI I should look for and shut off now that I have yours to make my tooltip more compact/tiny?
Thanks!!! Rach
/console reloadui
Scale isn't working again. The slider stays at the prefered value but the actual value changes. Any fixes soon?
@radon
how can i reload the ui^^ (i know a stupid question, but i have no idea what the command is)
My guild uses an add-on called PvPLog developed to be used with wowprofilers that we use to keep our PvP stats on our guild website. It appears to be on curse-gaming in a similar form: http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-1843-1-wowprofilerspvplog.html
The text that this mod attempts to put into the tooltip bugs the tooltip and the added text appears outside of the tooltip to the left and near the bottom although the space is made in the tooltip for it.
For whatever its worth, this mod worked with TipBuddy which I used up until yesterday when I found your mod. I love the mod and I hope you can sort out this bug (perhaps by looking at how TipBuddy handled it) so I can continue using it!
I'm sorry to say that changing the zone still resets the tooltip scale to 100%. Here is how it happens: 1. open options dialog, drag slider to 80% 2. mouse over target (tooltip is shown at 80%) 3. change the zone (any instance portal) 4. mouse over target (tooltip is shown at 100%) 5. open options dialog, slider is still at 80% 6. mouse over target (tooltip is shown at 80% again)
I've got a problem: Whenever I mouseover a money tooltip (e.g. when I'm selling items at npc and the price of them is shown) then I've got the money display inside every tooltip (players, npcs, inspect window, etc)

Edit: Humn, after a UI reload the bug is gone and does not occur anymore, wtf...
error: Interface/Addons/TinyTipExtras/TinyTipTargets.lua:31:bad argument#2 to 'format' (string expected, got nli)
Is there any way to remove the text that says how much honor in % i will get if i kill my opponent? If not, could you make it removable?
After upgrading to version 1.48 the scaling error I described in an earlier post has changed a little, but is still very much alive. Instead of merely resetting the tooltip to default size on every zone change, now the slider in the scaling window gets reset to 100% as well. I can set it to 80% as often as I want but on the next zone change it will be back to 100%.
2) Would it be possible to include text values inside the health/mana bars
Is the only thing I'm hoping for too.
Yeah I'm having the exact same problems as Dawnsinger, would nice if it could be fixed :)

Hi, love TinyTip's having the ToT available, as well as guild ranknames so easily available--cool stuff.
Five problems however (most mentioned by others first, I think, so I'm just restating): 1) Still getting errors with newest MobInfo2 (sorry I don't recall what they were, just that they were MI2 lua errors); 2) Unchecking compact mode keeps health and mana bars in the wrong places (over text), even after resetting add-on; 3) Scaling number probs--can't reset scale to 100% w/o resetting whole add-on; 4) PvP rank insignia not showing (MI2 again? or maybe MyRoleplay); 5) Extra space over guildname for PvP chars seems out-of-character for a space-decreasing tooltip add-on.
Thanks for making this add-on! I'll start using it again if these probs can be fixed.
I tried Compact Mode, and wanted to go back. But could not turn it off despite toggling the switch on/off and also trying reset settings. It went back after a WoW restart.
When using the scale, I could not go back to exactly 100% it jumped between 97% or 101%.
Awesome mod - I've been impressed with the amount of support you've given. I've already replaced my buggy and outdated TipBuddy (R.I.P. - it served well).
A couple suggestions:
1) Could you add an option to toggle mob type (beast/humanoid/dragon/etc)? As a Warrior I could care less about mob type, and it'd be nice to hide this info similar to what TipBuddy used to do.
2) Would it be possible to include text values inside the health/mana bars (either %, or MI2 values)?
Every time I change the zone or reload the UI, the tooltip scale gets reset to 100%. At least until I bring up the tinytip options and select the scale menu where the slider still sits at 70%. Suddenly it's working at the correct scale again. Mind you I didn't change any setting, just opened the window.
I had the dreaded 'attempt to index a nil value' (line 58, TinyTipExtras.lua) error after a trip over the ocean. I did have the tooltip showing when the zep 'left the world', so I guess it's a problem with uninitialized data. Not sure why though, as the error catching on that line seems proper.
Nothing major but I thought I'd better let you know. Really nifty addon overall, I like it. :)
I'm not going to duplicate any MobInfo-2 features at this moment, but I might make a MobInfo-2 module specifically for TinyTip, absorbing the features of other tooltip addons as well. First I need to finish another project I had after TinyTip.
Mobinfo2 already can put its info into Tinytip's dialog. Its on per default in MI2, just configure it to your liking (in MI2 that is). It doesn't put info on the bar though just in the tooltip info box.
Like this: http://img93.imageshack.us/img93/4836/tinytipmaexxnari2.jpg
Note, I've turned off everything exept health value but if you like MI2 can put a huge amount of data into the tooltip.
Yeah, the text value on the healthbar would a great addition.
