A: You can either send them to me with a license disclaimer that allows the distribution/packaging with vanaskos (if you own the rights) or You can add your own sounds by modifying WoW/Interface/AddOns/VanasKoS/modules/Notifier.lua The list of sounds is at the top of that file. Just put your extra sound files somewhere inside the WoW directory. VanasKoS uses LibSharedMedia-3.0 so it also has access to any other addon's sounds."
A: Fine, Thanks! It doesn't right now.
Q: I see weird messages in my Chat Window on the Channel CrbZ????, What's up with that?

Q: How can I support the authors and development of this addon?

Q: I can code in lua and want to develop xyz?
A: Write me a PM with your idea and experience - I'll review the idea and if it's finished include it in vanaskos, or if you want to develop more add you as a co-author.
Q: How much do you make with this addon?
A: Near to nothing - My (Vanas) payment/hour for VanasKoS is less than 10cents, don't worry though - it's a hobby for the authors, so the revenue isn't a factor for development, but it also means that the real-life job is more important, so bear with us when answers/development take a little longer.
Q: Vana...Vana.. I seem to remember this name from Lineage2
A: You are right, I worked on a popular (and the first) lineage2 drop-database back then.
Q: License?

THx.. great addon by the way. Use it alot
if u don't want use an auto /who for see who is online and who is offline u can put a botton for check all the people in list when pressed?
or check only when u open the list
For some reason the fubar plugin doesn't seem to work anymore with the latest updates, any chance on this being fixed?
As the new Version of VanasKoS will change alot "under the hood" we need your help to make sure it doesn't destroy data. Please send your WTF\Account\<YourAccountName>\SavedVariables\VanasKoS.lua to [email protected].
This data file contains the data saved in VanasKoS and will of course be kept confidential and only used for testing.
You may also test the version yourself by a) backing up said file, b) download http://static.wowace.com/uploads/18/317/92/VanasKoS-r311.zip and installing it.
In the warning frame, you can, out of combat, left click and target the listed player which is great. What i would like would be to be able to do is right click and have it get the chat to open a whisper edit box to that listed player. And also have the middle click set to do a /who for the listed player
This is for a few reasons.
Firstly, doing a /who can be done in combat and it is an easy way for people to check the faction of the target, irrelevant of their combat status, since it will return '0 players' if it is an enemy.
Also, being able to whisper the listed players is good since ive noticed a number of times that i have seen a friendly run past me as im dealing with mobs and would liked to have warned him about the ominous collection of aggressive enemy players hanging around the q givers.
also it would allow me to whisper players with unusual characters in their names easily :)
what do you think?
The primary problem with the /who (or /target) is not that can't be done in combat (/targetexact Mobname/Playername works fine in combat if typed by hand or in a macro) - the problem is that the addon isn't allowed to generate Buttons which would execute that command.
That is why the Warning window handles two sets of Buttons - one set of Buttons generated out-of-combat and one for in-combat generated ones. That way the out-of-combat buttons still work when you get into a fight, until they are replaced by the in-combat ones. Unfortunately there's no distinction yet which button is ooc-generated and which one ic-generated.
About /whisper - you can target the player via the warning window, right-click the portrait of him and select whisper (If the friendly player is a ooc-button). If i'd just programmatically open the Chat and write the text in it - it'd taint the Chatframe and wouldn't work while in-combat.
Unfortunately the clipboard also isn't accessible by an addon (which means it's impossible to copy the clicked buttons name into it).
Also the color of the entry indicates the faction to whom the player belongs (red = hostile to you, green = friendly to you, yellow/orange-ish = on your kos list).
I hope to have shed some light on the restrictions Blizzard gave us to deal with and how the warning frame works.
meant to say:
graphical distinction for the user
how i can do that?
