This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of World of Warcraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

ViperWatch is a lightweight, mostly-text addon for hunters that performs a simple task: it nags you about Aspect of the Viper. With the changes in AotV from Echoes of Doom onward, some hunters will find themselves switching into and out of the aspect more often. VW simply allows you to set a low and high 'threshold'; when your mana dips below the 'low' threshold, you get a notification to turn AotV on, and when it hits the 'high' threshold, you get a notification to turn AotV off. The notification can be text, a sound effect, or both.

A great addon of its time. Sorry to see it go with 4.0.1 (I.E. Hunters now get Focus). I used it for my hunter and hope the addon isn't lost in memories

thnx alot for this cool addon ^^, but it would be great 2 switch 2 viper aspect when mana is low then autamtically switches 2 draon or halk when it is full ^^

Hey

I love this addon, and am pleased to note that it still mostly works in 3.2 - but, one issue - the button to swap aspects goes away during combat - when I need it most!

Is there a fix?

would be awesome if u could set a default goback..ie u have viper on...and it gets full mana....go back to dragonhawk..so in this case the default setting would be dragonhawk..and when it gets low...go back to viper? is that doable(sp)????

Is there a way that i can set it to a specific percent ? maybe 75 high and 25 low thresholds?

Would it be technically possible to auto-switch to another (preset) aspect when manna is full? If so, I would love that!

Is this going to be updated any time soon? It seems like this would not work with the current patch/update if it wasn't updated in a long time? Then again, I don't know too much about add-ons I guess.

can u make the next update so it Continues to Nag you when you Stay above or below the set threshholds?
If im raiding i usually dont hear or see the message, can you make it continue to nag me plz? make a setting to turn on/off continous nagging if other ppl like the old version

Love it!

Something I would like: And option so that the alert would repeat (Snooze?). I was on my mount when it alerted me that I didn't need Viper anymore, I ignored it later went in combat with viper on...

Could you please make the sound configurable? It now sounds like "ORA2 Maintank Death" and that always gives me a heart attack.
I would also wish for a "constant nag"-switch. in some situations one alarm is not enough :)

Two things that would be nice to see added to this addon is the ability to adjust the font size of the on screen warning and also the ability to either change the alert sound to a few in the addon or a wave file that could be changed.

Just my thoughts. Good job on this addon a must for hunters.

It would be great if we could check a setting to make the "Turn Off AotV" warning not fade away. Sometimes I am in the heat of battle when it goes off and I forget to do it for some time, needlessly lowering my DPS. Fantastic addon!

I've done a Locale-frFR.lua file to have this addon working with french client.
Only the first sentence is mandatory to make it working, so the interface is still in english but doesn't really care.

L["VIPER"] = "Aspect de la vip\195\168re"

It will be great if you include it in your futures release. Fill free to ask is something needed to test in french or wathever.
