I configured using /wf3sec gui. It still does not show SS or shock bars. I also get a LUA error about invalid spell slot. The WF cooldown bar does work. I disabled all my addons and just had wf3sec it gave me the same globalcooldown error.
Hopefully this will help in troubleshooting the problem. Thank you very much for your work on this.

would it be possible to also have a bar to show the spirit wolf duration? not the cooldown, but the 45 second duration that they are active, if you know what I mean. I think this would be a great addition.
this is a really great addon. i've been using it for a while now just for the WF cooldown. now that it shows MW procs it's awesome, but there's really only two problems: you can't change the size of the number, nor the color unless you mess with the the coding yourself; which is something most people won't do.
there's also one more thing you should consider adding: feral spirit. the cooldown isn't necessarily the problem, but rather the time left. you know it's 45 secs, but that doesn't matter when you're fighting.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. It occured while I was in the process of updating addons and unembedding all my libraries. I use WAU to manage all my ACE addon updates, including WF3sec. Installing this thru the WAU, without 'externals' (embedded libraries), with optional dependencies installed, does not install the Candybar-2.0 or Paintchips-2.0 libraries. I looked at my error log and it had a few instances of LUA-errors from missing Candybar-2.0 dependencies but these errors were not popping up at login. Check bugsack, swatter, etc for non-verbose errors if you are getting the disappearing problem.
For me a fix was simple: 1. Download WF3sec from curse.com (has embedded libraries)and install per normal procedures. 2. Inside WF3sec/libs folder, delete all folders with the word 'Ace' in them. NOTE: This will only work if you have standalone ACE2 libraries installed. You should see a folder named ACE2 in the main /AddOns folder if this is the case. 3. Delete all occurences of WF3sec.lua and WF3sec.lua.bak from ALL folders under /WTF - I recommend to search your entire WoW directory if you are unsure where to look for these. 4. Optional step is to copy the remaining 2 libraries, Candybar-2.0 & Paintchips-2.0 to the main addon folder, but this is only necessary if you have other addons that shares those libraries.
For those that still have problems after trying above, back up your /WTF and /AddOns folders, then delete all files and folders from them. Install only wf3sec and see if it works. If it is you are most likely having library conflicts of some sort.
Most times you won't see problems if you only have a few addons that have the same embedded libraries. If you run a larger number of addons, such as 20 or more, that have the same embedded libraries all kinds of issues can happen. Version conflicts from varying release dates become increasing likely, but the real benefit of unembedded libraries is reduced disk access and file paging. Unembedded libraries, in my experience, do end up taking slightly more memory, and can make patch days a nightmare, but if you use a large amount of addons it is really the only way to go.
Love this addon! So glad I was able to get it working again. Goodluck all.

I admit, I don't need the addon then, but wouldn't a enhancement shaman cast a heal now and again as well? Or has it something to do with the fact that it can't find the ss/windfury cooldown, cause I don't have SS as resto?
My shaman isn't level 50 yet, so I lack the Shamanistic Rage talent, which I believe to be causing me the same error. Seeing as there is a "/wf3sec showsr" command that is detailed 'show/hide Rage' I'd assume that it tracks said talent. And as far as the error showing after a heal, I'm led to believe that it checks the cooldown upon use of shaman abilities.
That being said it's likely that Stormstrike and Shamanistic Rage will both give you this error if you don't have them. A simple solution is: "esc -> interface -> help -> uncheck display lua errors". However, after a while the client will give a warning saying something along the lines that "your addons are causing a lot of errors and this may slow down gameplay" you can simply ignore this in this situation but I'm not sure just how much it 'may' slow things down.
When all is said and done, this is an excellent addon that serves as a cooldown monitor for your moves and the all-important WF meter.
Many thanks for this creation.
