a guildy has this addon and we heard a sound of a murloc mrgllgrll over vent and he said WIM has different sounds when someone whispers you. so i get it and i set it up but there's no murloc sounds, there are other sounds i see under the special sounds for guild mates or friends but not this one. was it removed or did he mention the wrong addon?

May I just say, WIM is the single best addon I have found to date. Makes whispers so easy, and fun. I will never miss a whisper, forget who people are, or wonder what level they are again! WIM is just so good! A must have for all players!

hi i have just downloaded and put this add on in and the 1st thing it said was i was on a private server :S

"WIM has detected that you are playing on a private server. Some servers can not process ChatAddonMessages. Would you like to enable them anyway?"

Locals: Sometimes debuglocals() returns nothing, it's one of those times... (FYI: This last sentence (only) is a HotFix from Decursive to prevent a C stack overflow in the new Blizzard error handler and thus giving you the opportunity to send this debug report to the author of the problematic add-on so he/she can fix it)

I've been getting the same error ever since I installed the 3.3.3 release. 3.3.2 still runs fine if you can ignore the in-game "NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE!!" everytime you log a character.

Although your error log gave me an idea...

im haveing a issue atm with this addon it is with the guild tap when wim is enabled then i can't see the GMOTD or any of the options in the guild control button it has been going on since the last update

anyone have any idea on how to fix it

Cross faction communication is against WoW TOS. Thus this option will never be instituted.

Raidwarning,
I have a question because there is someting missing (or i have a setting wrong, dont know).

When a Item is announced in Raid then you get message on screen and a Item link in chat window..
I got the warning but no link in chat window... is this missing ?
Or do i have a setting wrong. Pls info

I like this Addon, but have a question about it.
Is it possible to turn off the regular chat and use this one instead ? (like Bartender does with Blizzard Castbar area.
Is it possible to lock the Chatboxes somewhere on screen ??

Please consider adding a sort of answering machine functionality. It doesn't need to playback a automated message, but when you're AFK and the game auto logs out, it's nice to see who sent you messages while you were AFK and what they were.

I love this addon, but patches have a nasty habit of wiping all of my history and resetting my settings. Could you tell me where the logs are kept so I can make copies before they go? 3.3.3 was the 3rd or 4th time this has happened.

This may not be the right answer, but did you make sure you don't have some sort of weird filter setup under Whispers > Filtering?

Love this addon, been using it for about 2 years now, and haven't had a problem til it's latest update (3.3.3). Every time I get an incoming whisper, swatter pops with an error saying:

attempt to call method 'GetName' (a nil value)

Resulting in the whisper being blocked. Not sure of the background /who is causing it, but would be my first guess given the "GetName" line.

Anyone know where I can change the coding to resolve this?

why are you spamming that message into all the addon pages. It makes no sense and doesn't pertain to this addon. Don't post unless you have something productive to add or need help with your download....*spammers*
