Inviting a bnet id friend with the shortcut bar invite button gives an error with a |K string as result.

I modified the line 309 in shortcutbar.lua (WIM version 3.5.9) in the modules folder to:

Not the most elegant solution but it works in this way.

Also the add friend button does not recognize the bnet ID friend as being a friend.

after updating to WIM 3.5.9, the addon still displays 'WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) v 3.4.2.

so i was having this issue since early wotlk: when used with prat, sometimes, whispers would not arrive. i noticed this because a whisper notification popped up on my g15 but nothing was on my screen. there was no error message, just nothing. i'm using chatter since a few months, never had this issue again, but alas prat is just better.

i noticed that it often happened with whispers from people i didn't "know", like new twinks of friends and total strangers. or on my level 1 toons on different servers whenever i tried to contact someone from a different server. it doesn't happen always, just sometimes. very odd.

so yeah this might be something you guys want look into someday. thanks for the great addon anyway, it's a huge quality of life increase, even with the missing realid history. i understand that it's not a simple issue.

Aye, I have a problem with the history as well only being able to see your chat. Also looking in history a lot of the RealID's are listed as unknown or are listed as the wrong person with incomplete names. (Also with only my chat being shown) If this isn't fixed, I'll make a formal ticket.

@Tuanur From reading that forum I'd say try adding the slidebar as an optional dependency to WIM's TOC file. If nothing from that forum works then I'd suggest the prudent step to take would be looking at how other 3rd party ldb's grab it and try and reverse engineer that.

I use the Norganna slide bar addon that comes with the Auctioneer Suite. However, WIM's minimap icon doesn't regonize the side bar and therefor I can not add it to the slide bar. According to the website of Norganna, the addon should be able to auto add any LDB addon.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to make this work? Either by editting the code of WIM or something else.

As of today (4.2a) I can't use any custom skins for WIM. I receive this error when accessing the display section of the options->

i got the same bug, but it only affects whispers with someones realid i have this bug since at least the 31.07.2011 history with a "normal" char is ok - also the history entries changed the realid names to "Unknown" after a while

Hello, I was wondering if having different configuration profiles for WIM is possible or if the configuration can only be shared across all accounts?

Hi , since the last 2-3 days i have problems with the addon's history, trying to rewiev an conversation i found out that it only reflects my texts and it doesn't appear the text of the other users i was talking to. as an example:

[03/07/2011] / 20:24 [Net]: tsss, .... / 20:24 [Net]: gratz:) / 20:24 [Net]: .....? / 20:25 [Net]: ahmm, .... / 20:27 [Net]: eno, ....

I tryed reinstalling wim, got up to date prat and other addons sugested , but the problem keeps persisting.

as a temp fix for the OptionsTookKit.lua error, I remarked out the lines 372-374 which has appears to stop the error. I not being one who knows anything about LUA(I program in VB.net), at least not getting the error, so I can use WIM again.

The controls on the window are a little bunched, but no errors

I'm glad I finally found someone else that is having that problem, too bad you don't know how to fix it though. My Wow crashed on me the other day, and when I logged back in I lost all my WIM settings. I had system messages working again that whole day. But after I logged out and back in, they stopped again.

Any chance we can get a fix for the invite button on WIM chat windows when talking to RealID friends.

I have this too, I have to uncheck and re-check system messages for my non-WIM chat window and then they appear for a while... until I use WIM for something. Not sure what WIM is doing, but something it does makes it suppress system messages to the normal chat window.

I have a problem where WIM is making it so I no longer get the yellow system messages. I don't get a notification when friends log on or off, when I bid on an auction, and various other messages. I had no problem with it before the latest version of WIM, and reinstalling it completely didn't fix it, only disabling WIM does.
